Once a treasure,
Now forgotten. Stored away. Waiting amid cobwebs for the chance that perhaps you, or maybe just someone will come shake the dust off my heart and need me once more.
Taken at... Portocovo
This storm which caused extensive flooding and slips blocking numerous roads was described as being a once in 500 year event. I expect another in the next few years.
Acueducto de los Milagros, dated from approximately during the time of the Julio -Claudian dynasty or that the Flavian dynasty. The Roman city would have had three previous aqueducts that provided water to the city. This aqueduct supplied water to the western part of the city.

As our ship headed northeast from South Georgia, we were treated to one of our last sightings of icebergs and remnants from the world's once largest iceberg, A23a.
Once the pride of a small Ozarks town...now scarcely noticed on a once busy corner....slipping quietly away.
I found this at the farm where I took all my sunflower photos - just had to capture this...
Please note: This pic is only for the fun of the cute title i thought of when editing the image.
Not a serious pic at all!!!
GRACIAS
THANKS
It's another year to thank all those who accompany me on this journey. Starting with mine and with all others.
I hope to be at your side another bunch of years learning photography and enjoying your company.
A kiss to all and each one.
Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out had a heart of glass
Seemed like the real thing, only to find
Much to mistrust, love's gone behind...
Once I had a love and it was divine
Soon found out I was losing my mind
It seemed like the real thing but I was so blind
Much to mistrust, love's gone behind...
In between...
What I find is pleasing and I'm feeling fine
Love is so confusing there's no peace of mind
If I fear I'm losing you it's just no good
You teasing like you do...

Lost inside...
Adorable illusion and I cannot hide
I'm the one you're using, please don't push me aside
We could made it cruising, yeah...
It's just no good
You teasing like you do...
*many thanks to my dear friend Tre Meldazis, that allowed me to work in this peaceful and gorgeous SIM to take the pic :)
So once again I have captured this composition. While I know that it is not entirely original for me, I can't get away from how much I like this spot. The way the water pulls your eye through the landscape and the contrast of the vibrant blue and the stark orange are so eye catching, I had to share one last image of this.

Un grand merci pour vos favoris, commentaires et encouragements toujours très appréciés.
Many thanks for your much appreciated favorites and comments.
Once a year a business trip usually brings me to Südtirol/South-Tirol in Northern Italy. The landscape is just wonderful, the people pleasant and the food just great. And the roads up the mountains look just wonderful for cycling. Should probably take the time to take a holiday there. Maybe next year - I always promise myself ;-)
A much photographed derelict building in the Wairarapa. I stopped to take an image but it was quite rushed as I was standing alongside a very busy road and it wasn't a pleasant spot to linger at that time! Here's the snap though and I've processed it to look soft and grainy to add some extra atmosphere hopefully!

The extremely rainy September and the early October snowstorm (over 2' in some spots), has left farmlands flooded and crops under water. This is the Plum River, which is normally around 2' wide. Manitoba. It's pretty though.
This light house has been lighting up the coastal waters near Monterey California for well over 150 years. Point Pinos Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse on the West Coast. It has been in operation
since February 1, 1855. The US Coast Guard operates the light. The City of Pacific Grove runs
the lighthouse as a museum open to the public.
Once the weather becomes warmer, the Western Boxelder bugs leave the warmth of our houses and start exploring the great outdoors. Even though I appreciate knowing who or what is sharing my abode, I do appreciate that they vacate the premises for awhile. ;) There's great information to be found here...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxelder_bug
...once of my most favourited pictures on Flickr. A textured work, with textures of Les Brumes.
Just to mention...but it wasn't anything significant, anyway. :)
These slides are taken with a half-size camera called Olympus Pen EE2 about 50 years ago. In January 1972, Our friend group went to the Nagareha Ski Resort in Gifu Prefecture. I remember it was very cold in a quiet ski area.
This ski resort was located inland, so we were able to enjoy a nice powder snow. At that time, it was a quiet hideaway area, and it seems that it is still being promoted as a hideaway ski resort. I want to visit again someday.
Once a beautiful tree, today a sad skull. Carved by humans to impress, for many years, the wooden skull has witnessed the passing of Halloween nights, with hollow eyes and a heart full of rings.
Happy Shocktober!! 💀🎃 HSS!
On/Off - Thank you very much for your visit and taking the time to comment or fave! Much appreciated!
once you've been (and we stayed just across from Dante's statue), Florence becomes a part of your imagination and dream life. We've been 3 times to this magical city.
At the base of Petrin hill in Prague Olbram Zoubek's sculpture "Never more Communism" or something in that style I have forgotten the exact name.
My daughter and my son if you find him are in between the figures.
Olbram Zoubek (except from us) has never received big applause for this work, it's bit creepy I have to admit and not all Czech are happy with new system 10% would prefer that capitalism never arrived.
