A consumer rangefinder from 1963, the Konica EE Matic was as close to a point-and-shoot camera as was available at this time. It's a mechanically simple camera, using speed priority set at 1/60th of a second. It's ease of use, nice lens, and clean lines contributed to its popularity among amateur photographers.
Through the studio window in the morning. Taken late last summer, before the leaves fell . . . California Redbud.

Golden Gate National Park is located in the eastern Free State, South Africa, near the town of Clarens. There are many gigantic sandstone outcrops in the park that take on deep orange, yellow, ,red and ochre hues when the light is just right.
Although Flickr says this photo was taken on January 1, 2008, it was actually taken many years before that, in the early - mid 90s, on colour transparency film.

Okay... So this photo has had a fairly terrible existence so far. Took it nearly a year ago, was quite underexposed, I accidentally developed it on sort of dead chemicals and my complete inability to recover color balance in PP (I scanned it with a DSLR) was the final nail in the coffin for its 'technical goodness'. I however find it interesting, so I uploaded. Any thoughts?
