In the day of my birthday (39 clicks of the clockwork wheel, for the chronicles) I let my own pool begin its life.
It would be a warm place for extremely-high quality images only, some sort of second favourites folder where to invited works will be displayed.
After some months of greatly co-operative choices, I'd like to put my icelandic-outstandic friend and photographer Dalla in the eye of this new storm, sure about the fact she will help me in this collecting-adventure with the same passion shown in the pool lightness of being, which is growing amazingly day by day; our pool :) Do you agree, Dalla?
This is an invitation only group. It'll be a slow-growth tree. No definite theme, but at least 33 fav. And a poetic strong underlying theme, captured by those artists who have ears to hear the voice of all the lights available on our precious planet.
So, let's see. My selfish room is born.

Aurelia and I went to the green house at Cairncrest to take some shots. Really happy how the various locations worked out.
And as with most of my photos these days, the more I like the photo, the worse the flickr thumbnail it makes.
I know, I always anthropomorphize things too much. But tell me that the end of the root of the main radish doesn't look like a hand with a scolding finger...

Do you still remember that Nikon EM? Yes, it does take photos, and very nice. I really love this photo (despite being a little bit dark) because I took a photo of my best friend and his girlfriend looking at the fireworks in my city.

A man who lives in the house alongside the historic cemetery behind the Chestnut Hill Baptist Church regularly clears the flat and worn gravestones of leaves and other debris.
He gave your correspondent and buddy an impromptu tour. Pointing out different graves, “He was at Gettysburg. The fella over here was at the battle of Little Round Top. You can see it by the 20th Volunteers Main. The 20th Main was the line Chamberlain and his men did that right handed [ ] like a swinging door move to stop the Confederates from getting the hill; it won the day....This gentleman here is a veteran of the War of 1812.” He pointed out headstones for the Sands family which he believes was prominent in the early days of the church.
Some of the graves are partially grown over with grass and there may be others that are totally covered over.
The man says the cemetery is a kind of common ground for the neighborhood. People come through, some walk their dogs, children play. More information about the history of the Chestnut Hill Baptist Church can be found on the church’s website here www.chestnuthillbaptist.org/history/ The Chestnut Hill Conservancy’s archives are rich with historical information. According to notes attached to a 1945 photo of J.S Jenks school students, children attending Christian Youth Brigade meetings at the church would play in the graveyard. chconservancy.pastperfectonline.com/photo/CADB5BD2-F878-4... The conservancy also houses an 86-page, 1898 book by Robert Milville Hunsicker, “Chestnut Hill Baptist Church 1834-1897 Glimpses of Sixty-three Years” and a 2001 publication “ Tombstone inscriptions at two Chestnut Hill church cemeteries: Chestnut Hill Baptist and Chestnut Hill Methodist” by the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania listing the churches gravestone inscriptions.
