A birdseye view of Spark Bridge looking up the Crake Valley into the Lake District fells beyond.

I thought since there was some nice light it would be good to get a panoramic of the place which has been the boys home for significant part and time of their lives. On to pastures new soon though (hopefully) and new adventures!

For those interested this was taken as a 6 frame panoramic using a DJI Mavic Air 2 about 120m ASL, each at 48MP and stitched together in Lightroom Classic CC to make a massive file which will print out nice and big!

No ...not this year ...but 2 years ago ....on the night of Oct 29, 2012 ...'Superstorm' Hurricane Sandy paid us a visit ...and the next morning this was the view from the balcony .

The 1st big snow of the year is always special ...bringing with it a unique beauty & serenity ....yet tinged with the sadness that another spring-summer-autumn has slipped away ...& Old Man Winter is once again knocking on the door .
