The Cotswold Way crosses this style immediately in front of the village's imposing parish church. There are quite a few siles like this here-a-bouts which must make life a bit difficult for old folks taking their dogs out for an evening walk, quite an obstacle course. The Way wanders along tarmac to cross the M4 a reminder of things unmissed.

(Oct. 25, 2018) City Commissioner Chloe Eudaly, Portland community members, and the news media got a close up look at the Portland Bureau of Transportation's annual winter weather preparations, including the bureau's annual snowplow obstacle course.
Each year, PBOT crews set up an obstacle course using orange traffic cones in the north lot of Sunderland Yard, where drivers practice driving large dump trucks with snowplow attachments, to refresh their skills in using winter weather equipment in a safe environment. This year, Portlanders who volunteer with the City's Neighborhood Emergency Teams (NET), East Portland community members and the Urban League of Portland were invited to drive plows and discuss the experience with the news media.
