takeing clear images of what is under the water with out the proper camera is alway a hard challenge.

the coral reef in Macona Inlet is not as spectacular as the outside reef but it does give me the chance to get some still water to get this image.

Photo of an unknown object somewhere on the horizon taken off the coast of Zandvoort, Holland. So this is what a photo looks like in maximum zoom mode on my cam.

This is a whimsical found object assemblage inspired somewhat by some surgery my Dad had last week.

My dad had the toe next to his big toe on one of his feet removed. It had been broken several times and arthritis was making it so it would bend under the other toes and was affecting his feet in various ways. So, they amputated it. If you are at all familiar with the nursery rhyme where you wiggle the toes of a baby or child it was the toe that would have been "the little piggy that stayed home".

As in...

This little piggy went to market...

This little piggy stayed home...

This little piggy had roast beef...

This little piggy had none...

And This little piggy went wee-wee-wee, all the way home.

My dad offered to give me his toe to use for one of my assemblages, but I declined that gruesome offer.. *L*

This was taken while I was in Holbrook for the foster care review board back in the year 2000. I walked the entire town with a Palm Pilot. A fascinating piece of Americana along route 66, lots of old cars, and very small hotel rooms

The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel building, built in 1989, has a height of 117 m (37 floors) and is the second tallest building in Norway. It was designed by White Arkitekter, an architectural firm based in Gothenburg, Sweden. As of 2018, it remains the tallest building in Norway, if we ignore the Tyholttårnet, a 124 m tall radio tower in Trondheim erected in 1995.

Some of my contributions to the Object Sky pool. I've noticed that more often not these photos are dark and grey, or at least have very strong or dominant shadow elements. I thought I'd see if I could muster up 36 more bright and colourful ones. A couple of these are borderline, but I was impatient. :-)

P.S. Rarely (perhaps never before?) have I done this, but I altered one (only one!) of the originals for use in this mosaic. Just some colour adjustment, which is ironic because the original actually earned a compliment on its colours ... but it didn't look good when presented among the rest of these.

Aiming to make art more democratic and affordable, the {X}posé Retrograde Series by Tanya Palta is a visual vocabulary of elements that crackle with light, shadow, and texture.

Decisively Retrograde, the multi-exposure series explores the boundaries between representation and abstraction to adapt to a contemporary aesthetic.

Inspired by the greats like Warhol, Dali and even Hirst, {X}posé experiments with numerous digital techniques to form a narrative that juxtaposes surrealism with realism.

Tanya Palta photographs everyday objects, architecture and landscapes in her own inimitable style to create a visual experience that is uniquely artistic and multifarious.
