I wish I could say that I was the one who set up this shot... but I can't lie. Another photographer had set up a triangle of slave-flashes and I asked if he minded if I took a couple of pics while he was re-setting up his gear. But I think this photo turned out amazing!
Tech stuff: cleaned up a few objects on the floor (debris, marking tape) and blended in Mera's lace-front wig a bit; used Topaz Adjust's Clarity filter at 75% to bring out more details in their costumes, faces (why I blended in the wig), and backgrounds. I'm trying to *not* over-process my pics and let the camera do most of the work on the front-end instead of using PS to fix issues in post-production.
Comments and critiques are welcomed.
UPDATE: Mera & Aquaman were featured in Uproxx's A Compendium of Cool Comics Cosplay - November 23rd (2012). I truly am humbled by all the great feedback and folks liking this picture.
A rare day of big waves and good light. Strange light, actually, in the way that it's cast shadows within the waves. These are all a bit too over-processed, but I'm all out of time just now. I should have thought to take some video!
Thought I'd play with Silver Efex Pro 2, and quite like the Film Noir filters when the image is the right one. Clearly, over processed for many situations, but I thought the result was quite fitting on this rather bleak urban path.
Brighton-Le-Sands at night overlooking the busy intersection and beach. Cool or to over processed ?? Thinking entering into a local council contest .. what do you think ?
Went up to one of my favorite places: The Roan Highlands. I learned of this place from Mark Van Dyke's images. While I've yet to get an image as nice as his of the blooms it doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the place.
This was June 11th of 2016 and I had a buddy from work with me. It was his second time up there. We came the previous week and found no blooms, but lots of fog.
This is one of the images I shot and processed with Lightroom and CC. I really liked how I could get the sun to stand out. I'm not sure, but I think this is way over processed. But, I like it none the less. lol
Another group shot of yesterdays pintail. Due to the light being into the birds faces I've processed this to bring out the colours of the ducks plumage however this has created this void like sky - pintails in the no-thingness if you like.
I quite like the effect as it completely isolates the ducks - don't feel obliged to comment as an experiment really.

Meet IXO's interpretation of the Ferrari 288 GTO.
As usual, enjoy the over-processing along with some of my rambling!
IXO focuses on the budget model range and mostly 1/43s. This model is no exception. The shape seems a little off from some angles. And the chrome details could be nicer. The tailpipes are a particular letdown with their lack of depth and unsubtle chrome work.
I also wish the vents, especially on the bonnet and engine cover, were more defined. Admittedly, perforated sections would be asking a lot for an entry level model.
The interior is a treat however: nicely defined seats and console, with the daintiest gated shifted I've ever seen. Adorable!
What will always surprise me is how much better detailed on average these small models are compared to budget 1/18th scale models from years ago. (Bburago and Maisto I'm thinking of you <3).
For example, the window gaskets are painted proper black, and I get at least one closed side window on the passenger side.
Yes, one window is up; one is down. I'll live with this; the interior is easier to see that way!
Thanks for stopping by!

Technically this isn't my best photo, and had to slightly over-process to outline the jetty, but I liked the idea here...

A submission to Sliders Sunday, where over-processing is encouraged. A flannel flower (native Australian wildflower) on a sunny day in Manly Dam.
Warren County Iowa country roadside mailbox with newspaper delivery tube silhouetted by spring sunset. Shot on iPhone processed with Snapseed and PS Express. Just having some fun abusing and over processing a bit.
So I haven't been out with the camera for a while and thought I would look through some old photos and see what I could do with them. Hay presto! This is a single jpg; toned mapped in Photomatix and then over processed in Neat Image to give it a smooth rounded look. 'Land of the Free, Vegas Style' On Black
Finding a galaxy in a shell found beside the ocean. A submission to Sliders Sunday, where over-processing is encouraged. HSS to all!
I know these are edited with a heavy hand, I don’t usually let myself get that wild with post processing but I have been more or less out of it for days now with another series of cluster headaches/migraines. Just oscillating between the two with bouts of nausea between. Just being able to do a slow bumble around our block was more than I’ve been able to manage for too many days in a row. I’m feeling cagey and exhausted. I am just going to enjoy how over processed these are and not nit pick myself too much. Half of the enjoyment of taking photos for me is creative post processing anyway!
Whilst trying to return home I was too unwell to resist illness and also to resist the Moon. The pictures taken are not conventionally good, but they are a bright memory of a dark night. Fortunately that was a couple of weeks ago and now it series of edited pictures away from the illness that created some pictures that would normally be overlooked, but instead in their over processed bright as the night was here they can be looked over at a safe distance. What we recover from may not make stronger, but recovery does gives us time regather ourselves as we live longer. I love these pictures from my time of being so inspired much as not be discouraged from taking them and I continue as before with more bad days than good and hopefully with more pictures too.

Its been years and years sense I have been to the eastern shore of Pyramid lake. Our house is about 30 miles as the crow flies from here so on a whim inspired by the snow storms and there big fluffy clouds that have been coming through the area, I decided to go out and try and get a sunset picture with the Pyramid of pyramid lake in the for ground. for some reason that area is not available to the public. lots of no trespassing all over the place.
I know this is over processed a bit. Sometimes overkill isn’t a bad thing, to me this is one of those times.
I took a walk along the Humber river on my way home from work today. I'm really lucky to live so close to this beautiful spot in a city which is mostly full of industrial cement.
+2 in comments. They are perhaps over-processed, but reflect adequately the way these things look to me after spending 8 hours working in a basement!
Developed with a simulated blue-filter during B&W conversion. Personally, I have always liked a little over-processing once in a while - in either century.
Please do not post notes on the image.

Red Rock Canyon State Park features scenic desert cliffs, buttes and spectacular rock formations. The park is located where the southernmost tip of the Sierra Nevada converge with the El Paso Range. Each tributary canyon is unique, with dramatic shapes and vivid colors.
Historically, the area was once home to the Kawaiisu Indians, who left petroglyphs in the El Paso mountains and other evidence of their inhabitation. The spectacular gash situated at the western edge of the El Paso mountain range was on the Native American trade route for thousands of years. During the early 1870s, the colorful rock formations in the park served as landmarks for 20-mule team freight wagons that stopped for water. About 1850, it was used by the footsore survivors of the famous Death Valley trek including members of the Arcane and Bennett families along with some of the Illinois Jayhawkers. The park now protects significant paleontology sites and the remains of 1890s-era mining operations, and has been the site for a number of movies.
After wet winters, the park's floral displays are stunning. The beauty of the desert, combined with the geologic features make this park a camper's favorite destination. Wildlife you may encounter includes roadrunners, hawks, lizards, mice and squirrels.
Note: These images were taken with the Samsung S22 Ultra, which I have since returned because I find the images over-processed, but I'm posting them as a review of that device
Blessed Sacrament Church
The Oblate Fathers built this church in 1905 and called it St. Mary's. The name was changed to Blessed Sacrament in 1934. This church at 2049 Scarth Street is the oldest Roman Catholic Church in Regina and the second oldest church in the city still in use (St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral was built in 1894).

Over processed? Well, yes, but I kinda like it nonetheless. ;-)
I saw this cloud while on the train, with about a minute and a half till we pulled out. I dashed out onto the platform, snapped (yay for hyperfocal settings) and ducked back in. And off we went.

I'd promised myself; no more HDR, no more over processed pictures, no more over saturated and high vibrancy setting - nice B&W and mellow REAL film style pictures! The way HUMAN eyes sees things ... but, then I couldn't resist it .. one more .... please ... :-)
A couple of pictures processed with Halloween/Samhain in mind. Here's an absurdly over-processed and clichéd image of Wollaton Hall with full moon and mist added; the flight of crows is real though.

i am starting a 365 project
one self portrait, every day, for the next year
i realize this is an enormous undertaking, and will likely be a source of stress for the next year, but i want to do this, for reasons known and unknown to myself
i want to be more comfortable showing my face.
i want to document my year.
i want to learn and grow as a photographer.
i need to credit laurennicole and keely for inspiration here
in some way or another they have inspired not only this shot, but definitely my change in style as well. they are two of my absolute favorites on flickr and not a day goes by that i don't strive to be a better photographer because of them.
before i got my new camera, i think that my pictures were over-processed and lacked emotion. i have changed gears quickly, but i have decided that i want to show more emotion and less processing.

When I looked at this I questioned if it was over processed, so I looked back at the raw file. Other than the crop it doesn't look much different. I liked the way the chest feathers lit up.
And yes, shooting is slow right now so this is another from the archives.
Thanks for stopping by.

Shot from a moving bus – this one is from the archives. Yeah, it's a little over-processed but I like the vivid colors...
Certainly the image is not without flaws... but I think it's a fun picture anyhow.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're having a great day!
Oil drops in water,; background is a leaf image. A Sliders Sunday submission, where over-processing is encouraged.
Playing around with using my new ND filter while shooting handheld at a skating rink.
The shot was not great, providing a good opportunity for over-processing :)
Proof that I do go out during the daytime hours in Winter. Sometimes.
The sky looks a bit odd - perhaps over processed, but it's actually caused by accidentally leaving the polariser on when working at a very wide angle :-)
Yesterday we left the city limits for the first time in getting on for half a year, and we took a walk around the grounds of Ickworth House. It was lovely to get a walk through some countryside, and the long loop was mostly empty, so it was quiet other than the occasional drone of a gixxer in the distance.
From a photography point of view it wasn't that successful a trip. In part I was still quite derpy from my first vaccine shot, but also after a week of uninterrupted sunshine it finally returned to more traditional british weather with unbroken cloud in time for our (half) day out. There was the odd moment where the sun broken through, but in general I didn't really get much. So all my photos are a bit rubbish. I kind of like this shot, but it doesn't really pop the way I hoped and it looks a bit too over-processed for my tastes. I still have a lot to learn.
Maybe a bit over processed, I normally don't like Topaz Adjust.
I'm not positive but I believe this place used to me a Modular Home Factory.
Getting in proved a bit tricky but I prevailed.
Also I'm wanted to point out my flickr name change. Redskyguy was appropriate when using flickr for Redsky Properties. This venture never worked out and I've been debating a change ever since.
I took this on our photo walk this past Sunday. I really liked this shot except that the focus was off. I don't know what it is, but there's something about it that really pulled me in so I played with post-processing in Lightroom and came up with this. I still liked it, so I thought I would share.
It's really much, much better in Lightbox, so please either click or press L. Thanks for looking!
