Vf Outlet is a staple of outlet malls all over the place. The multi-billion dollar Vf Corporation (owner of more than 30 brands!) can trace it's roots all the way back to 1899, starting as the Reading Glove and Mitten Manufacturing Company in Reading PA. In 1969, Vf acquired the Lee Jeans brand, and has been gobbling up clothing and accessory brands ever since.

Soda Lake Road on the Carrizo Plain. It's the main road on the Carrizo Plain and is 45 miles (72 km) long, 20 miles (32 km) of which are unpaved.
Soda Lake is a shallow alkaline lake at the north end of the Carrizo Plain. It has no drainage outlet.
The Carrizo Plain is a large enclosed grassland plain in southeastern San Luis Obispo County, California. It contains the Carrizo Plain National Monument and is the largest single native grassland remaining in California. It's widely known for its spring wildflowers.
The site where Oban now stands has been used by humans since at least mesolithic times, as evidenced by archaeological remains of cave dwellers found in the town.[3] Just outside the town stands Dunollie Castle, on a site that overlooks the main entrance to the bay and has been fortified since the Bronze age. Prior to the 19th century, the town itself supported very few households, sustaining only minor fishing, trading, shipbuilding and quarrying industries, and a few hardy tourists.[4] The Renfrew trading company established a storehouse there in about 1714 as a local outlet for its merchandise, but a Custom-house was not deemed necessary until 1736 when "Oban being reckoned a proper place for clearing out vessels for the herring fishery".

Commentary.
When Romney Marsh was under water ships could dock at nearby Smallhythe and some could even reach Tenterden itself, up the River Rother.
To seal its maritime credentials Tenterden was even
a member of the “Cinque Ports Confederation.”
As coast and river silted up over the centuries, Tenterden lost its sea-trade and the previously thriving wool trade faded away, under fierce competition from areas that could transport wool in great quantities, much more quickly.
The railway of 1903 brought vigour to the town.
However, economics saw the line closed by the 1950’s.
Fortunately, in 1974, railway enthusiasts volunteered to
re-establish the line linking Northiam, Bodiam and Tenterden
as a tourist attraction.
Town facilities steadily improved during the 20th. Century,
thanks to an active Local Council.
There are many Cultural and Arts Organisations.
The High Street is a very pleasant thoroughfare.
The shops and houses are set well back from the road,
behind broad grass verges, lined by an avenue of London Plane trees, that provide good shade on hot summer days.
The wide selection of boutique, antique, craft, art, household, book and other retail outlets, as well as seven Public Houses, make this a popular place for visitors and locals from the many surrounding villages.
Today's story and sketch "by me" we are at Santa's North

Clear Creek Second Outlet Channel and Gated Structure
Located near S.H. 146 just north of the Clear Lake natural outlet at Kemah/Seabrook, the Clear Creek second outlet channel was built to allow the discharge of watershed runoff from Clear Lake into Galveston Bay so lake levels are not increased due to a proposed upstream Clear Creek channel enlargement. Gates were included to reduce sediment inflow into the channel, lessen impacts of currents on navigation adjacent to the second outlet channel, and to prevent changes in tidal inflow and salinity intrusion through the second outlet from causing changes to the existing hydraulic and environmental conditions of Clear Lake.
The gates do not provide tidal or hurricane protection for lakeside or Clear Creek communities.

Spend the past few days on vacation with my wife hoping for some skiing and snow shoeing but for the first time in many years we are missing the snow. We did hike though. This was the only day I backpacked my gear and got some nice shots. The wind was incredibly strong this day with a wind chill in the single digits. I love this shot of the outlet of Copperas Pond. The pond had about an inch or 2 of ice but it hasn't been cold enough to freeze the stream.

Monochrome conversion of outlet pipe in Poole Harbour, Dorset, UK.
Poole was used by the Romans as an invasion port for the conquest of southern England, who established the settlement at Hamworthy, now the western half of Poole. A Roman Road ran north from Hamworthy to Badbury Rings, a Roman transport hub. At the time of the Norman Conquest Poole was a small fishing village.
Location: Poole Harbour, Dorset, UK.

After a morning in the sunshine, on the promenade at Lindau, i changer out of my long, blue chiffon skirt, into a pair of tight denim shorts, and some calf-length summer boots, over my beautiful Wolford Neon 40 pantyhose, and checked out of my hotel, before a short drive across the Austrian border to Bregenz, the home of Wolford.
With the bright sun highlighting the shimmer on my pantyhose, I tottered into the Wolford Outlet Store to pick up a few items on sale, before tottering back across the carpark to the World of Wolford where I spent nearly an hour checking out their latest colours and styles in stockings, pantyhose and bodies.
It was an incredible rush to be standing in this massive Wolford store, surrounded by their amazing hosiery, myself in Wolford pantyhose and stiletto heeled boots.
The women working there were wonderful, very politely asking about my needs and preferences and showing me their wares.
After quite a hosiery buying spree, I then sat down in the adjoining Wolford restaurant for an aperitif, as I caressed my shimmery Wolford sheathed legs, in a somewhat surreal frame of mind about what I had just done.
