NEWS - 14/09/2010- Pictured are (L-R) Eileen Bentley, Bord Bia with Ciarán Cuffe TD, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Julia Finke, Ballybrado Ltd, who were announced winners of the "Best Organic New Product" category of the National Organic Awards 2010 today (Tuesday 14th Sept). Now in their fourth year the National Organic Awards are recognised as an important feature in the organic food and drink industry calendar, which aim to recognise the achievements, and raise the profile, of Irish organic food and drink manufacturers. Organised by Bord Bia in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the 2010 Awards attracted over 170 entries from organic companies nationwide. The Overall National Organic Award went to Mossfield Organic Farm, Co Offaly for its distinctive organic farmhouse Gouda- style cheese. (NO FEE FOR REPRO) Credit Gary O' Neill

the Kadotas were AMAZING, just like it advertised, the inside oozes and tastes like raspberry jam, such a beautiful visceral experience. yum!
I had this image in my head when I first heard the assignment this month on the Martin Bailey Photography website. I couldn't enter it as composite images aren't allowed. It's all good, I'm just happy to get it out of my head. The theme was Organic.
I couldn't decide if I liked this one or not, but I fiddled a bit and came up with something pretty simplistic and organic to my eyes. What do you think?? Calla Lillies have been done and done---by some amazing artists. Thus it's not really a flower I'd normally shoot, but we were wandering the neighborhood with cameras recently and it was just there. I crawled on my belly on the sidewalk to shoot it's lovely profile. ;-)
Slices of rare organic grass fed beef marinated in salt, pepper, soya sauce, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup and honey. Sits on yam and potato. Oh ya sauce is a mix of honey, peanut butter, worschester sauce, salt, pepper and some other stuff I can't remember...
