Series of three. Sorry but I did not see its tail. It dashed across the path in front of me and I thought that was that. But it took pity on me and reappeared and stood and posed for just a minute. I cannot tell which it is. It has got very white paws. Can anyone help with an identification please.

Namtso is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet and significant for Tibetan Buddhists. Kora is a Tibetan word that means "circumambulation" or "revolution". Kora is both a type of pilgrimage and a type of meditative practice in the Tibetan Buddhism. Thus, Namtso Kora means pilgrimage walk around the Lake Namtso.

Namtso literally means heavenly lake in Tibetan language. Located around 240km northwest of Lhasa, capital of Tibet, it takes four hours’ driving from Lhasa. Extending 70 km from east to west and 30 km from south to north, the lake covers an area of 1,920 sq km and has an altitude of 4748 m above sea level. It is biggest lake in Tibet and the second biggest salt lake in China as well as one of the highest lakes in the world. The water in the lake is crystally clear and blue. The blue sky joins the surface of the lake in the distance, creating an integrated, scenic vista.

In every Tibetan year of sheep, thousands of Tibetan Buddhism believers will come here to worship this sacred lake. As a rule, they will walk clockwise along the Namtso Lake in order to receive the blessing of the gods.

There are several fine Tibet treks around the lake. The shortest one is roughly 4 kilometers and takes less than one hour. It starts from the accommodation area to a hermit’s cave hidden behind a large spinter of rock. The kora continues to a rocky promontory of cairns and prayer flags. At the promontory, pilgrims undertake a ritural washing in the lake. And then the trail continues past several caves and a prostration point where there are two rock towers looking like two hands. Pilgrims squeeze into the deep slices of the nearby cliff face as a means of sin detection or drink water dripping from cave roofs, even swallow holy dirt.

There is a part of us that we have consciousness, and it is the one that usually manifest through our corporeal or physicality, our words, our actions and our feelings. But there is another unexplored part of us ... that we ignore, the hidden part of us that often we do not know or do not have the courage to speak to others.

Amtrak Dash 8 510 leads the northbound Coast Starlight out of Portland, an hour and 37 minutes late. The presence of the P42 in the pepsi can scheme is somewhat ironic, a scheme (once) unique to the Dash 8 trailing behind a Dash 8 in regular colors. Irony aside, I was happy to get a better shot of a Dash 8 leading, not to mention happy to get out of the house after spending 3 weeks sick with mononucleosis. This was one of the first things I did after getting over the illness, and just walking around outside and climbing up ballast had me huffing and puffing, funny how 3 weeks of being bed ridden will do that to you. Considering Amtrak's ongoing equipment problems and the unreliability of the new Siemens equipment, I really don't think this is the last time we'll see this.

What it is really , or maybe a FrogSeat but I favour a ToadStool . A quick wander up to the bridge on the edge of the Common that I often visit with the camera and in one of the front gardens of the houses along the lane I spotted this character !!

Broken leg or not , it does seem quite happy sat here watching walkers go past !!

Gulls or seagulls are seabirds of the family Laridae in the suborder Lari. They are most closely related to the terns (family Sternidae) and only distantly related to auks, skimmers, and more distantly to the waders. Gulls are typically medium to large birds, usually grey or white, often with black markings on the head or wings. They typically have harsh wailing or squawking calls; stout, longish bills; and webbed feet. Most gulls are ground-nesting carnivores which take live food or scavenge opportunistically, particularly the Larus species. Live food often includes crabs and small fish. Gulls have unhinging jaws which allow them to consume large prey. Gulls are typically coastal or inland species, rarely venturing far out to sea, except for the kittiwakes. S20N_300

The city of Kanazawa has three well-preserved historic chaya ("teahouse") districts, and Higashi Chayagai, or the Eastern Chaya district, is the largest. The district has been designated as a Japanese cultural asset.

I have a murder of crows hanging out around my place and they are quite rowdy.

Yesterday an Eagle showed up and sat for a while while crows gathered around him or her.

Then the eagle took off and the crows gave chase and they went of sight.

Steve and I had an early start at a wild and windy Portknockie on the Moray coast last Sunday morning. The shots I took pre-dawn came out very blue and I struggled to rectify it using a white balance adjustment so here is the monochrome version of a long exposure that emphasises the swirling waters and jagged rocks.

A daylily or day lily is a flowering plant in the genus Hemerocallis, a member of the family Asphodelaceae, subfamily Hemerocallidoideae. Despite the common name, it is not in fact a lily. Gardening enthusiasts and horticulturists have long bred daylily species for their attractive flowers. Wikipedia

The common murre or common guillemot (Uria aalge) is a large auk. It is also known as the thin-billed murre in North America. It has a circumpolar distribution, occurring in low-Arctic and boreal waters in the North-Atlantic and North Pacific. It spends most of its time at sea, only coming to land to breed on rocky cliff shores or islands.

Common murres have fast direct flight but are not very agile. They are more manoeuvrable underwater, typically diving to depths of 30–60 m (98–197 ft), and depths of up to 180 m (590 ft) have been recorded.

Common murres breed in colonies at high densities, nesting pairs may be in bodily contact with their neighbours. They make no nest, their single egg is incubated on a bare rock ledge on a cliff face. Eggs hatch after ~30 days incubation. The chick is born downy and can regulate its body temperature after 10 days. Some 20 days after hatching the chick leaves its nesting ledge and heads for the sea, unable to fly, but gliding for some distance with fluttering wings, accompanied by its male parent. Chicks are capable of diving as soon as they hit the water. The female stays at the nest site for some 14 days after the chick has left.

Both male and female common murres moult after breeding and become flightless for 1–2 months. In southern populations they occasionally return to the nest site throughout the winter. Northern populations spend the winter farther from their colonies.

In photography, you'll commonly hear the word: monochromatic. Technically not pure black and white to the purest. I like to think there's no hint of any other tone in this photo, but I'm not an expert on the subject.

Eastern Kingbirds have a surprisingly varied vocal repertoire, although they are not considered songbirds with complex, melodic songs like robins or mockingbirds.

------------------------------ JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------

7 Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)
