This same White Squirrel from the previous photos jumped from tree to tree, to tree until he landed on the Willow tree along the river. He stopped here to take a little rest, keeping a watchful eye on me then ran around the other side of the huge tree and slipped into a hole near the top of the tree, out of sight!
One of the brightest, boldest rainbows I've seen welcomed me as I approached a region of Glacier Park long known for it's mystical and spiritual aura. Named Two Medicine by the Blackfeet peoples who have for centuries sent their young warriers here on vision quests and spiritual seeking.
I too feel that pull and need to return here for rejuvenation, rejoicing and relaxation. Never fails to set my soul singing and reboot my spirit.
Some earlier scenes/moments I've enjoyed from this special area below……..
We're finally having some Spring-like weather here. :-))
Hope you are as well.
Thanks for your visit!
In special moments of mystical awareness among things in nature, we feel and know that what seems so separate is in fact one. We are touching into the wisdom of Sophia in the natural world. We are abiding in the real presence of God, with feminine and masculine energies, always within reach. Such mystical abiding can also happen in an event or with a person. Neither Sophia nor mystical awareness can be limited in how they appear to us, nor where they do so, when, in what or whom.

The Cathedral of Panagia Portaitissa of Iberia (Georgian: ივერიის ღვთისმშობლის ხატის სახელობის ტაძარი) is a cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church in Tbilisi, Georgia. Construction was inaugurated in 2012 by the initiative of the Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II. The cathedral is dedicated after the original Panagia Portaitissa icon held at the Monastery of the Iberians on Mount Athos.

I was enjoying playing with my camera, and tried all kinds of settings and combinations, I had 3 different lenses, including the Lensbaby, and I didn't always get the exposure right!! I think I was probably trying a slow speed and and camera movement, on an aperture priority setting - it has needed a little bit of tweaking to get this!

Thanks for viewing and have a great weekend!
A beautiful bird of the forests, this is quite a loud bird that is easily heard and maybe seen, but very hard to photograph since they hide in the canopy. The bird is endemic to South and Central India and always found on the slopes of forest hills. It does fly up and down the slopes in search of food though. It is a photographers favorite and a very hard one to get as such - especially in our region.
These are social birds always seen in flocks - usually of 4-6 or more. They keep flying from tree to tree in search of insects on the tree trunks. The birds were out in the open on the edge of a forest and flying from tree to tree. There was a tree stump that the birds stopped briefly and then took off - managed a few flight shots much to my delight!
Many thanks in advance for your feedback, faves and likes - very much appreciated.

It is always good to remember that what we consider old now, back in the day was very modern. Case in point is this part of the church Saint Etienne in Perriers-sur-Andelle. The church itself is medieval, founded in the 11th century, with some architectural details added in the 14th century. But not here. Here we can quite obviously see some later works, this is not medieval (and the church did see substantial work done in the 16th and the 19th century). So at one point this was the modern, up-to-date part of the church when the rest of it was more or less dated and old-fashioned.
Had a chance to practice the art of flight a little more yesterday with the drone before leaving the Isle of Harris.....took a drive on the north eastern side along the 'Golden Road'.....beautiful....saw this bay and took advantage of the light breeze (most of the time it's pretty windy!!), if you look carefully you should be able to make out the cables, fences, walls and other traces of mans influence on this magnificent and diverse coastline.

Sandhill Crane.
Between 34 to 48 inches in length with a wingspan of nearly 7 feet. They are very tall with a long neck and long legs. Largely gray with a red forehead. Juveniles are browner and have no red on head. Their plumage often appears a rusty color because of iron stains from water of ponds or marshes.
They inhabit large freshwater marshes, prairie ponds and marshy tundra. They are also on prairies and grain fields during migration and in winter.
They range from Siberia and Alaska to the Hudson Bay and south into western Ontario. There are isolated populations in: the Rocky Mountains, the northern prairies, the Great Lakes, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida. They winter in California's Central Valley and across the southern states from Arizona to Florida.

Today we continue exploring Low Head in northern Tasmania. Best known for its lighthouse since 1833, it is also a mecca for Geologists.
I am no geologist, so I can't help you much with the identification of these rocks. But what we do see at Low Head is an interesting variety of rocks and boulders - most of volcanic origin. The whole of northern Tasmania was once (millions of years ago) active with large volcanos.
I'll put a link below to some photos I took at Devonport a few months back. I believe those rocks are Dolerite from the Jurassic period (180 million years ago). And here, please correct me if I'm wrong geologists, we see some more Dolerite.
These rocks have a texture like elephant hide and they are fascinating to see in sunlight. Follow the shaft of light down to the little rock pool.

The Empty Quarter or Rub' al Khali is the desert area encompassing most of the southern third of the Arabian Peninsula. The desert covers some 650,000 km2 including parts of Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. It is part of the larger Arabian Desert.
Constructed in 1884 with an addition added in 1910, Our Lady of Lourdes is a 900 seat Roman Catholic parish church that serves the James Town neighbourhood in Toronto Canada. The building was designated a Heritage Property under The Ontario Heritage Act in 1978 and by The City of Toronto in 1982.

Stella, di Mezzo and di Fuori: Capri's legendary trio of sea giants. The opening or arch in the middle rock is called the Tunnel of Love or Arch of Love.
In the Campania region, there are three famous faraglioni in the Bay of Naples, off the island of Capri. Part of the Campanian Archipelago, they are named:
Stella, connected to the island, 109 metres (358 ft).
Mezzo, 82 metres (269 ft).
Scopolo (or Fuori), 106 metres (348 ft). The blue-tinted lizard (Lacerta viridens faraglionesis) is endemic to this faraglioni. Wikipedia

I'm not a fan of malls or indoor shopping centers unless the weather feels as windy, snowy, and freezing as now. Then, at least one can walk as that unknown man walks here. (And sneak in a camera.)
But so many stores seem to close as malls turn to entertainment and child play areas to survive.

Hundreds of freight trains stranded. Thousands of passengers left with nowhere to go. This was the scene as a series of unprecedented rail blockades saw the wheels of Canada's economy screeching to a halt. But in the middle of it all, the tough town of Englehart and the Ontario Northland Railway stepped up to keep it all on track.
Here, both Canadian National and Ontario Northland EMDs are congregated under the stars at Englehart after battling the elements of Northern Ontario.

This 12th century fortress was the traditional seat of the kings of Munster for several hundred years. A tour of the rock is a must do on any trip to Ireland, as there is so much history here and so many photo opportunities. After touring the rock, be sure to take a walk down to Hore Abbey, just down the hill and across Camus road. The ruins there are also stunning and offer many views back up to the rock.
Not far from the Binding Brewery in Frankfurt am Main stands a building that clearly stands out from the rest of the buildings in the Sachsenhausen district: the Sonnenring. It is one of the buildings designed by architect Günther Balser, was built between 1969 and 1975, and is considered to be an example of brutalist architecture.
Unweit des Standortes der Binding Brauerei in Frankfurt am Main steht ein Gebäude, das sich deutlich von der übrigen Bebauung im Stadtteil Sachsenhausens abhebt: Der Sonnenring.
