Linked to the Museum of the City of São Paulo, Casa da Imagem is part of one of the 13 historic buildings that exemplify the evolution of construction techniques in the city, representing the aristocratic residential use in the second half of the 19th century.

Preceding these actions, Casa nº 1, thus known by the numbering it received at the time of its construction, was destined to house the Casa da Imagem project. In 2009 the restoration works began, which included the integral repair of the structural part, adaptation for accessibility, logic and telephone network, installation of the fire-fighting reservoir and interventions in interior ornamental paintings.

This little elephant was tired of his live as being only an earring, so he decided to run the coin-marathon. And that wasn't easy, I can tell you!! So give him a big applause, because he did it. Yeah, number 1 !!!!! ;-)

I have wanted to see this for years. It's at the top of my photo bucket list. We final have been able to afford the trip. So I have everything crossed that we will be lucky.

Twenty five year old Jordan is a military brat.....and I mean that kindly. (A military brat is a child of serving or retired military personnel)

She was born in Cambridge, England and she honed into my English accent right away. She moved back to the US with her family at just 12 months old but she has a love and curiosity of all things British. Her mum is of Irish decent and her Dad is originally from New York. She is bar tender at Bosque brewpub. Amiable and so easy to talk with and I am sure she will soon become more than a stranger when we enjoy the food, her company and a beer at Bosque Brewpub in the future. Thank Jordan for being my girlie #1 in this project for me.

She is my first girl in my 100 strangers project. Thank you Jordan for being my stranger and also for pouring a good pint.

This picture is #40 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at 100 Strangers

A hot coffee would be welcome on a cold rainy morning, but it won't come from this lakeside coffee house, closed for the season. Seen dockside at the closed Mackinac State Harbor. Mackinac Island. Fortunately, our adjacent bed and breakfast had daylong "endless cup of coffee" available : )

The General Lee (sometimes referred to as simply "the General") is a 1969 Dodge Charger driven in the television series The Dukes of Hazzard by the Duke boys, Bo and Luke. It is known for its signature horn, its police chases, stunts—especially its long jumps—and for having its doors welded shut, leaving the Dukes to climb in and out through the windows. Number 1 on Flickrs' Explore list for 18/12/2005- my birthday!

This shot is the reason I carry my camera with me everywhere I go. You just never know what you're going to see. ;)

Pangongtso is the Number1 destination within Ladakh. It is uninhabited, inhospitable and very cold.

It is a big saline lake that runs from India into Tibet. Almost 134 kms long and about 2-5 kms wide, it is situated at about 14270 feet.

Come summer when visitors pour into Ladakh for their low oxygen nirvana, Pangongtso is abuzz with countless tourists descending on the pebblly shores of the lake and furiously clicking away at this facade of the scene.

So if you have been there or you have seen it in countless photos of Ladakh, here is one more take.

I hope that the photo is not the same like the countless others, as my thought process on shooting this was a tad different.

The skies in Ladakh are a rich shade of blue. Whether it is heavenly or not is a debatable issue. No photographer has been to heaven yet. The rarifiled air is always clean and pure with cold winds whistling through the valley. The rich inky blue of Ladakh is quite different from anywhere else in the world barring Tibet right across the lake. I wanted the richness of the blue skies intact and so it is here. The photos in this were shot with sizable under exposure to achieve the blues that was visible that day. A metering of the mountain chains crumbling into the lake shore would have led to dilution of the sky and so the exposure was adjusted to retain the richness of the blue sky.

This is a 1st and 2nd section ( out of three sections ) of the 5 part panorama made out of the jpeg images. I have not done anything with the raw files yet.
