Midnight Blue - Robert Fripp

Oroflivar: One of the more common forms of wildlife found on Dexwhupra, where the animals are very simple, the Rekadolays being by far the most complex organisms on the planet (even discounting their unique regeneration feature). The Oroflivar is a rather unique creature with a particularly unusual shape. It measures, at most, one meter in height, but has a proportionately tall body; resembles a crustacean in some ways and walks around slowly on six pointed claws/toes. It has on its upper body a yellowish "face" of sorts consisting of three greenish eyes, an oddly–structured nose, and a rough patch that could more or less reasonably be called the creature's "chin". Other features that are more noticeable still than these are the Oroflivar's incongruently colored, suction cup–covered "arms", and most notably of all, the monstrous, multi–tongued maw of a mouth on its top. Oroflivars usually bend over when they need to eat, due to the rather inconvenient placement of their mouths, but they tend to manage decently overall. Their diet mainly consists of Dexwhupran flora, with mushrooms seeming to be their favorite foods.

The Oroflivar's durability value range is 350–500. The creatures are most common in the Southern hemisphere of Dexwhupra, and they have few interactions with the Rekadolays, being both inedible and nonthreatening to the humanoids and thus having little relevance to them.

Zotvochan: A rather mysterious demonic entity consisting of a totem–like structure of about two meters tall and with a grinning, horned head. Two dagger–type blades curve outward from its sides. Zotvochans are made of magical stone, similar to that which most Primal Deities are made of, but not as flexibly animate; as far as articulation goes, they mainly only shift their eyes move their mouths in a slow and mechanical manner. That being said, they are paradoxically very mobile most of the time, as they can float around on their axises at relatively high speeds, visibly glowing with a reddish aura while doing so. Zotvochans are among the only demons that are never overtly hostile to mortals; they will attack only when outright attacked first, and their offensive capabilities consist of whirling around violently like hyper–accelerated spinning tops, so as to harm enemies with their blades and/or the sheer weight of their immensely dense and heavy stone bodies. The durability value of a Zotvochan is exactly 1,500.

The Zotvochan's singular purpose is to seek out and collect prayer and tribute for the Four Dark Lords and demons in general. It is a living receptor for invocations directed toward the denizens of the Underworld, and functions as a sort of sentient idol or shrine. The entity's blades are there for the purpose of drawing blood, which the magical daggers then absorb into themselves. Its mouth constitutes what seems to be a self–contained portal to the Underworld, and is meant to have objects, such as food, jewels or even body parts, placed into it as offerings. This mouth only opens while someone who intends to place something into it is present. Zotvochans are not associated with any particular one of the Four Dark Lords; rather, they are representative of demonic forces in general. They have never actually been encountered in the Underworld; they don't even appear to spawn there, and if they do indeed come into being in the Prime Galaxy (or even in the space beyond it), this would make them unique among all demons. However, the spawning of a Zotvochan has never been witnessed, adding to the mystery and overall creepiness of the demons. They are completely silent, yet they appear to be fully intelligent when it comes to locating and transporting themselves to places where they are most likely to receive worship, and discerning behaviors and reactions and adjusting themselves accordingly. To elaborate, once it has found a place, usually on an evil planet such as Zornemim, where it will receive frequent attention, a Zotvochan will "settle down" there and largely cease movement other than floating in place just above the ground.

Hatiginiff: A diminutive animal that lives on Poulbrim. The Hatiginiff (plural Hatiginiffi) is a short–bodied, four–legged creature that is, at most, two feet in length when fully grown. It has a tail consisting of three short, pointy spokes and, more importantly, a moderately hideous skull–like, head/face with blotchy skin not found elsewhere on the creature's body and a swollen, striped cranium that contains a disproportionately large brain. The creature is a herbivore with reptile–like traits, and despite its large brain, it is as simple–minded and simple–natured as its appearance otherwise lets on. The Hatiginiff's limbs are all short and stubby, but thick, strong and surprisingly flexible for their meager length. The three long fingers on its arms are particularly useful. The animal also has a slimy and slightly scaly texture over most of its body. Hatiginiffi's durability values range from 200 to 300, and they generally are found in packs/families of between five and ten individuals. They occasionally venture into the settlements of the Qendsewn, the humanoids of Poulbrim, and are seen as pests by the sentients, whose only real use for the inedible creatures is to utilize them as subjects in certain experiments of theirs. Such experiments are usually cruel in nature.

Hatiginiffi, like other Poulbrimian animals, most notably the Ulirooh, bears a degree of resemblance to the Qendsewn, mainly due to sharing similar genes from the very limited gene pool present on Poulbrim. In the Hatiginiffi's case, the most prominent trait that it has in common with Qendsewn is the large, bulbous brain, while the creature's face more closely resembles that of the Ulirooh.

Cranfolou: Another small creature native to Dexwhupra. The Cranfolou is a six–armed worm–type animal whose classification as an insectoid has often been debated. It possesses four eyes and a rather large mouth, and can vary in lengthwise size from as short as one foot to as long as three feet. Cranfolous have segmented, patterned bodies, flimsy arms that can be made to wave and flail wildly at will, and small yellow "caps" on their heads that can be made to light up. They are found in all regions of Dexwhupra, and their meat is eaten by all forms of Rekadolay. Other than them, the creatures have no natural predators, and they themselves are omnivorous, with the carnivorous aspects of their diets mainly consisting of standard insects. The Cranfolou's durability value is about 250, and there is little else to be said about it.

Wercleabil: A large and round amphibious predator found on Nonfialy, best known as the home of the crazed Ojohkeys. Wercleabils dwell beneath the murky waters of Nonfialy's swamps and other generally polluted bodies of water. Their roundish, almost squarish main bodies are about one cubic meter or slightly more in size, and they can be distinguished by their large eyes and perpetually–open, toothy mouths. They have seven tentacle appendages, five of which function as "legs" while the other two serve as the "arms". Other features of the Wercleabil include its bright red ears and the spongy texture of some parts of its body. The beast can generally be detected through the frequent gurgle–like roaring noises that it makes, especially when hungry. These creatures are vicious, and eat most other forms of life on Nonfialy, the most notable exception being the Ojohkeys themselves, who frequently hunt Wercleabils for sport despite not being able to eat them either. Strangely, however, it has been observed by others visiting their planet that Wercleabils do desire to eat a majority of other humanoid species from other planets, as the creatures tend to be more openly hostile to them than to Ojohkeys. Wercleabils are also known for being among the few non–humanoid creatures that commonly kill their own kind; they do this out of competition. The durability value of a Wercleabil is 800.

Senketinal: An uncommon Sertrophian behemoth of a creature that is only found in specific regions of the planet and is considered only marginally more populous than the exceedingly rare Bagelurk overall. Senketinals are tremendous mollusk–like beasts that usually stand at least three meters tall and can weigh as much as a ton. They are upright–postured and mostly cool in color, and their flesh is, in most areas, squishy and flexible, as is characteristic of most other creatures with similar physical forms, but dry and lacking the slimy texture also characteristic of such creatures. They are legless, with typical slug–like, slithering underbellies, yet have fully formed and very powerful arms. The durability value of an average Senketinal is estimated at 2,500. These creatures, to continue describing their appearance and physical features of note, have partial shells, usually of a greenish color, covering what basically amounts to their shoulders or upper backs, and are bereft of true faces. The "head" of a Senketinal protrudes outward and ends in a pointed structure containing what may appear to be a single eye but is actually two differently–structured eyes, the smaller of which is suspended within the vitreous cavity of the larger one. This results in the creature having incredibly acute sight but a small field of vision. Senketinals also lack readily visible mouths, and in a sense they do not have true mouths, as the animal's equivalent to a "mouth" consists of a somewhat hidden portal beneath the folds of its "head" through which food enters the digestive system of its body, but which does not contain any gustatory receptors. Thus, Senketinals have no sense of taste. Their senses equivalent to hearing and smell are carried out by thousands of invisibly small sensory pores located all over their bodies, while they experience the sensation of touch primarily through their five–fingered hands which, along with their arms as a whole, are the most developed and humanoid–like elements of Senketinal anatomy.

Senketinals are omnivores with slow and efficient metabolisms that require them to consume relatively little in proportion to the size of their bodies. Due to their lack of taste and the nonexistence of their mouths, they indiscriminately eat nearly every edible substance on Sertrop, as well as some objects which aren't edible to any other native beings. The creatures reproduce via spores secreted through a network of external pores separate from the ones responsible for hearing and smell, and fewer than 1% of these spores fully develop into actual Senketinals. Once they are born, however, Senketinals grow and mature rapidly without needing to be actively raised. Senketinals are considered to be sentient but not sapient, and they are of average intelligence as far as non–humanoids go. Though not innately hostile to intelligent humanoids, they may attack if and when they, in their imperfect and limited judgment, perceive a danger to be posed, and their predominant method of attacking is to attempt to strangle or crush prey and enemies to death with their large hands. Another, far less commonly witnessed form of aggression is for the creature to release the contents of its stomach as highly acidic projectile–vomit from its "mouth", which is not harmed and does not experience unpleasant sensation from this action due to being nothing more than a hole.

Senketinals, as previously mentioned, are found only in specific parts of Sertrop's map. The area most abundant with the creatures (relatively speaking) would be the "Oumpather Islands". Other places on Sertrop where they may be found include the stretch of land between "The Delta" (the planet's most prominent river) and "The Ragestrom" (a naturally–occurring ocean region of constant, violent storms off the North coast of Sertrop's mainland continent), as well as the Southernmost parts of the Flufewog subcontinent.

Parinessme: A lesser angel that serves as a warden/herald/harbinger of monumental change, both good and bad. It often appears shortly before wars, disasters, miracles and otherwise historic events, and does not discernibly reveal the exact nature of the coming event which its presence signifies. Thus, when a Parinessme (pl. Parinessmi, though only one may appear for any single occasion) appears, most races see its coming as a warning and prepare for the worst. Of course, not every major event is accompanied by the appearance of a Parinessme; in fact, the angels have been sighted progressively less often in recent years. However, they are considered more likely to appear in the Alpha Octant than anywhere else in the Prime Galaxy, as more sightings have been recorded there than in any other octant. Parinessmi do not speak, nor do they ever provide any assistance with negative events other than giving vague warnings of them; they usually appear in remote and/or high–up locations from which they can be easily seen but not easily interacted with. Parinessmi are often considered to be among the "darkest" of angels due to their foreboding and ominous associations as well as for elements of their overall appearance, which, in comparison to other angelic creatures, features more dark colors and shades more commonly seen in demons as opposed to angels. Many also dislike them due to the fact that they never explain anything and do not contribute active support, always disappearing before the event they herald actually comes to pass. Interestingly, no Parinessme has ever been verifiably witnessed either appearing or disappearing; it would seem that they come and go only while no one is looking. It is known, however, they they can fly through the air and through space at extreme speeds, which easily reach several hundred, if not one thousand, miles per hour. On the appearance and form of the Parinessme, its strange body consists of a round, yellowish face–construct with two birdlike, clawed arms and a single leg that is likewise avian–esque, atop which is another, more organic and darkly–colored structure with large wings. Atop this is a sub–corporeal eyeball–like sphere of diluted Rainbow Energy. The entire creature is variably between 5–7 feet tall. Parinessmi are believed to come into being in the space surrounding Paradise before descending into the Prime Galaxy and lying in wait there, hiding in the darkness of its space until they are compelled to show themselves in light of some imminent event of great importance. It is unknown whether they are intelligent, and whether they are brought into existence by raw Rainbow Energy, any of the Heavenly Lords, or even God the Father Himself. The Parinessme's durability value is roughly estimated to be 900.

Ingthedud: A Nirtrid–like but non–demonic insect creature native to Barserinv. It typically and largely acts as a common pest to the planet's humanoids, the Kierraplips, in the same way Nirtrids do to many other races. Curiously, there are absolutely no Nirtrids on Barserinv. Ingtheduds are round–bodied creatures with three distinct pairs of limbs and two distinct mouths, one on the top and one in the front of the face. Their eyes and faces are structured and positioned such that they can move, see and function both while positioned upright on their two lower legs and while crawling on all sixes. This is the very reason for the Ingthedud having two mouths. Ingtheduds are somewhat larger than most varieties of Nirtrid, often growing as large as a full yard in length. This makes them some of the largest insectoids on any planet. However, compared to the humanoids they live among and often pester, they are considerably less massive in proportion. Ingtheduds, like Nirtrids, generally live in underground colonies, but their caves and nests are noticeably more spacious and well–crafted than those of most Nirtrids and may even include crude, makeshift "furniture", indicating a greater level of intelligence compared to those creatures. They are unisexual; any Ingthedud may freely mate (and attempt to reproduce) with any other Ingthedud, but reproduction for the creatures is difficult to accomplish and painful to carry out, which keeps their populations in check. Ingtheduds frequently harass Kierraplips, usually at night and primarily by trying to steal their food and other supplies. Though they rarely outright violently attack the humanoids (to whom they pose little threat), they remain a persistent problem to them due to their tenacity, sneakiness and ability to coordinate new tactics and strategies for stealing from the Kierraplips, being smarter than Nirtrids. The average durability value for any given Ingthedud is 550.

Kierraplip: The main natives of the planet Barserinv, located in the Alpha Octant. Kierraplips are rather hairy mammalian humanoids that are, like most other Alpha Octant races, generally peaceful and devout. They are very large and can measure up to eight feet tall or even more; this makes them the second largest mortal humanoids in the Prime Galaxy, next to the Drajelaos, and also the largest humanoids that can currently be interacted with by others. Besides their size, they are physically characterized by their very broad and wide shoulders and exceptionally long necks, which are seamless with their chins. The odd structure of their hands is also notable. The other creatures of Barserinv, a planet with mixed environments, are not particularly large, and thus the Kierraplips are among the largest beings on the planet, and have few serious local threats and dangers to deal with. One common problem plaguing them comes from the pesky giant insects known as the Ingtheduds and their tendency to steal from them, but even this is ultimately more of a nuisance than a serious dilemma. Indeed, Kierraplips have it rather easy off overall.

With their great size naturally comes great physical strength, though they are not necessarily the strongest of humanoids, as there are a few other races, such as the Ostiobites, the Favredians and the Anyugari, that are considered on par with them in terms of brute strength. When they do fight, Kierraplips largely use their bare hands and claws; there has never been a need for them to develop weaponry on their home planet, which has never been invaded. Culturally and intellectually, Kierraplips have a fairly average output, and music is their most favored medium of expression. Technologically, they have contributed little of their own, though like most races, they have incorporated many major advances and developments from elsewhere into their society. Most Kierraplips have durability values of more than 1,500, which is highly impressive even considering their size.

Zinnktos: Hostile flying insects found on Virslagly that act as the main natural threat among the planet's wildlife to the intelligent natives, the Hexpultis, and any other humanoids who visit the world. Zinnktoses are highly numerous and vary greatly in size, from mere inches to two whole feet or more. A "large" Zinnktos (one measuring 2+ feet) has a durability value of about 350. They live in massive hives that contain hundreds of individuals each, and there are hundreds of these hives scattered across and throughout Virslagly's surfaces, mountains and crevices. Physically, Zinnktoses' core bodies are predominantly bluish. They have large, circular, multicolored armored torso–structures that are continuous with their mouths, two arms of moderate length with three fingers, long abdomens, and muscular, colorful wings. Zinnktoses are highly hostile and irritable creatures, and when they are provoked, which happens very easily, they attack by stinging. Their venom is quite potent, and a single sting from a particularly large specimen can be enough to kill certain humanoids, though adult Hexpultis are generally tough enough to survive any one sting that isn't inflicted to a vital area. Zinnktoses have four stingers, two at the bottom of the abdomen and two within the folds of the wings. The latter pair of stingers can actually be launched. Each of these stingers is removed permanently after being used and does not grow back, and if and when all four of its stingers have been expelled, a Zinnktos dies. However, the creatures do not appear to care for their own individual lives whatsoever, and are liberal, if not wasteful, in their stinging. The danger posed by the Zinnktoses to the Hexpultis is comparable to that posed by the Uliroohs to the Qendsewn on Poulbrim, though the Hexpultis are generally much more capable of defending themselves when they are attacked. Interestingly, both hostile creatures can fly and have suicidal tendencies.

Hexpultis: The native humanoid race of Virslagly, the most remote planet in the Beta Octant. Hexpultis (the plural form of the race's name is confusingly the same as its singular form) are a fairly large race in both physical size and population, commonly measuring up to six feet in height (seven or more if their "horns", explained below, are counted) and currently numbering in the hundreds of millions with colonies and embassies in several locations in the Prime Galaxy besides their homeworld. The Hexpultis has a fairly standard humanoid build. Its flesh is mainly pink, and starts out hairless, but by adulthood (17 years according to Hexpultis culture) comes to be covered in many areas by blue or purple fur, which is far more prevalent in males and is, in excess, generally considered to be indicative of "manliness". Hexpultis of both genders have thick, pronounced lips of normally greenish colors, as well as large chins, which are usually hairy in males and bare in females. The race as a whole is quite burly, though as is the case with most races, most female Hexpultis are somewhat leaner and less muscular than most males. Above all, however, the most distinguishing physical trait of the Hexpultis is its three large, curling "horns", which are actually tendrils of compacted smooth muscle that connect to the brain and contain numerous nerves and glands related to higher mental functions. If they are severed, the Hexpultis can survive, but will be left mentally stunted. Fortunately, these tendrils, while still occasionally a liability, are stronger, sturdier and less vulnerable than they may appear. The standard Hexpultis has a durability value of approximately an even 1,000, which may be augmented by armor, which is commonly worn among the race.

Hexpultis possess moderate intelligence in regards to logic and reasoning and above–average intelligence in regards to technological savviness. They have long lived in large settlements, primarily in the geographically depressed areas of Virslagly, and utilized trade and communication routes to establish interconnectivity between these settlements. Starting in the early Seventh Century Relative, the Hexpultis began advancing their architecture and societal organization by developing a focus on tall, multi–story buildings that could efficiently house large amounts of people while occupying comparatively small amounts of real estate. In Age 622, they completed their first successful spacecraft, dubbed the Groovecruiser, and have since then established footholds on several additional planets, moons and installations, resulting in the Hexpultis population growing substantially to its current, considerably large size.

Most Hexpultis are used to harsh conditions, due to their less–than–hospitable homeworld. As a result, the race is very combat–savvy, and since joining interplanetary civilization, many of its members have been known to seek work as mercenaries or soldiers–for–hire. However, this trend seems to have started dying down as the ratio of Virslagly–born Hexpultis has decreased.

Taptohtnej: The largest of all Coneforfadian creatures. The Taptohtnej is a tank–shaped, roughly Treymoz–sized cyborg beast whose body is far more synthetic than organic in composition, being approximately 70% metal. Out of all Coneforfad's part–machine animals, it is the closest to a true robot. The Taptohtnej's lower body consists of what essentially amounts to the lower part of a traditional tank vehicle, complete with leather–like "treading" that serves as the creature's means of locomotion in the absence of any true legs or feet. Protruding upwards from the center–top of the "tank" platform is a tall torso/neck structure, which contains the majority of the organic matter in the Taptohtnej's overall body. On top of this structure, in turn, rests the massive "head" of the beast, which almost resembles a pair of binoculars with its shape and two gigantic eyes that are almost wholly mechanical and in fact resemble the lenses of binoculars in multiple ways. The Taptohtnej's head structure contains its brain, which is very large, both proportionally and by general standards, and constitutes the largest concentrated mass of organic material in the creature's body. Also connected to the "head" are two short, clawed arms, attached to which are two small turret apparatuses. Another, larger cannon is also located in the front of the lower portion of the body. Ammunition for these guns is derived from excess metal on and within the Taptohtnej's body and thus severely limited, though it can be gradually replenished by consuming copious amounts of metal–based substances. Taptohtnejes are predictably scarce in number, and they reproduce asexually via planted, singular spores that are created approximately every year. They may live for well over a century, and are extremely omnivorous beings that will eat almost anything (including solid metal, as alluded to above), though surprisingly not in particularly large quantities, due to the fact that their bodies, being primarily mechanical, expend nutrient energy at a very slow rate. They are not innately hostile towards humanoids, but will attack given any significant provocation. Like all Coneforfadian species, Taptohtnejes have sensory–tuning antennae. All adult specimens of the species are more or less identical, and share a nearly consistent durability value that is almost exactly 7,000. This makes them among the most durable mortal creatures in the Prime Galaxy, and the most powerful entities on Coneforfad by far. Obviously, they each weigh multiple tons, and consequently measure among the heaviest of all mortal beasts as well. The demonic Edgarmiac loosely resembles the Taptohtnej, being akin to a smaller but more vicious version of the creature.

Fantasies shaped in your warm, fragrant breath as it mixes

into the air I breathe in

Gentle and knowing fingers that trace their way over my flesh

Moist, supple lips

Readily giving space for and simultaneously covering mine

Dances of meeting and separating

in sweetness eternally

needing one another more after each pause

building, ascending until we don’t remember what it means to breathe

breathing and feeling become one act

synchronized and effortless

guided without thought

no past having ever existed and no future toward which to move

nothing in sight

but you.

Just your breath

only the electricity of your skin

and how good each microscopic collision of its surface against mine

can feel, so overwhelmingly

right.

Hands and

lips,

gazes of desire

in ecstasy

entangled in a glimpse of nirvana

of nonexistence.

Through an ultimate act of existing

of affirming anther’s existence

their beauty;

your magic.

Letting go

to yearning

to be ever closer

ever a part of

the mesmerizing entity.

Pulling harder,

catching breaths that escape as fast as they enter

a gentle burn that

looks into your soul

as my love overflows

in multidirectional waves

of bliss.

Then all becomes momentarily tolerable.

Lying in a mixture of sweat

entangled effortlessly in

the most safety I have ever felt

in the arms and caresses of another;

in belonging.

Evolutionary ideas make some people nervous, for their supposed religious or ethical or moral implications. My internet presence is intended to present geologic and biologic information, but below is some sociopolitical and scientific commentary that tries to explain why evolutionary ideas shouldn’t make one uneasy or nervous when talking about fossils, the fossil record, and biologic change through time.

What is evolution? It means change. That’s it. A more complicated definition is change through time. Geologists can talk about the evolution of nonliving systems, such as the oceans, the atmosphere, the continents, mountain ranges, etc. Earth’s atmosphere has evolved through time. Earth’s oceans have evolved through time. One can also talk about the evolution of life. Life has changed through time. A genetic definition of evolution would be change in allele frequency. A mathematical definition would be (dDNA/dt) (change in DNA through time).

Evolution is a fact. Change has happened. That’s a fact. Change is happening now - change is observable, recordable, demonstrable. That’s a fact. Evolution is a fact. Life has changed in the past and is changing now. Anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant, willfully ignorant, stupid, lying, insane, or wicked (I've observed examples from all 6 categories).

Evolution is also a theory (a theory in science is a rigorously tested hypothesis or set of hypotheses; a theory in science is one small step below absolute certainty; a theory in science is well beyond a reasonable doubt). The theory of evolution is a set of ideas that explains how and why evolution has occurred and is occurring, at the genetic level, the organism level, and the ecological community level. That doesn't change the fact of evolution, however (change has happened & is happening now).

Well, doesn’t the fact of evolution have inherent religious, moral, and ethical implications? Not necessarily. Don’t be nervous. Don’t be uneasy. Evolutionary ideas, and science in general, say nothing about the existence or nonexistence of God. Evolutionary ideas, and science in general, are not inherently anti-religion or anti-Christianity.

Well, aren’t there two sides to the issue of evolution? The evolutionism side and the creationism side? [creationism = anti-evolutionism]

Nope.

First of all, evolution is not an “issue”. Many people consider that every issue has two sides - journalists are forced to think this way. Well, not everything has two sides to it. Some issues have more than two sides. Even if evolution was an “issue” (it isn’t, however), there are more than two sides to it. How many viewpoints are there when it comes to evolution?

Off the top of my head, we’ve got the following:

- Flat-Earth creationism

- Geocentric creationism

- Young-Earth creationism (YEC)

- Old-Earth creationism (OEC) (there are several varieties of this)

- Intelligent Design creationism (IDC) (a false category)

- Evolutionary creationism

- Theistic evolutionism

- Agnostic evolutionism (there are two varieties of this)

- Atheistic evolutionism

This is definitely not a “two sides issue”.

Flat-Earth creationism holds that God created the Earth several thousands of years ago, and that the Earth is flat, not ~spherical. Clearly nonsense. Commentary isn’t needed.

Geocentric creationism holds that God created the Earth several thousands of years ago, and that the Sun goes around the Earth, not vice-versa. Clearly nonsense. Demonstrated to be wrong 500 years ago - even longer ago than that by some ancient civilizations.

Young-Earth creationism holds that God created an Earth that is round and goes around the Sun, but it’s only several thousand years old, not 4.55 billion years old as scientists have determined.

Old-Earth creationism holds that God created Earth long, long ago. Different OEC views claim different ages for Earth, but some include the 4.55 billion year age. Some OEC views hold that Earth is infinitely old.

There’s quite a bit of discussion out there about intelligent design creationism. First of all, IDC advocates refer to their ideas as “theory”. Wrong wrong wrong. IDC is anything but a theory. The misuse of the word “theory” is widespread in society, unfortunately. Journalists, politicians, lawyers, and Hollywood chronically misuse the word. I’ve noticed many scientists misusing it as well. What it actually means is discussed above (see the 4th paragraph). Evolution is a theory (it’s also a fact). IDC is not a theory. It’s an hypothesis that includes testable and nontestable aspects. The testable aspects have been shown to be wrong. The nontestable aspects are not part of science, by definition. IDC is not a theory. That’s not my opinion. That’s the way it is. (IDC advocates and some politicians and some legal people want to change the definition of science to get around all of this - they’re not allowed to do that. Non-scientists have no say about the definitions of science terms.)

Secondly, I look at IDC a bit differently than most folks. I would suggest that IDC is a false category on the spectrum of views listed above. For one thing, not all IDC advocates say the same thing - there is no single, consistent message coming out of the IDC camp. If one just picks one IDC advocate, one usually finds different things being said to different audiences (it turns out that they engage in this dishonesty on purpose, for sociopolitical reasons - I’ve personally observed this with Jonathan Wells, for example - creationwiki.org/pool/images/thumb/0/04/Jonathan_wells.jp...). Some IDCs talk as if they are YECs. Some sound like OECs. Some sound like they’re evolutionary creationists or theistic evolutionists. The easiest way to deal with this confusion is to declare IDC a false category. That's what I do and that's what I would encourage others to do.

Apparently, evolutionary creationists believe that God created the Earth 4.55 billion years ago, accept that Earth is round, that Earth goes around the Sun, and that life has evolved on Earth just as the fossil record indicates. But, through geologic time, God has “tinkered” (in terms of miraculous or supernatural intervention) with the evolution of life on Earth along the way so that humans would appear as they are here & now.

Theistic evolutionists believe that God created the Earth 4.55 billion years ago, accept that Earth is round, that Earth goes around the Sun, and that life has evolved on Earth just as the fossil record indicates. But, through geologic time, God has not “tinkered” with evolution of life as it goes along. Rather, God set up physicochemical and biochemical laws at the creation of the Universe so that life would evolve on Earth the way it did, without having to “interfere” or “tinker” along the way (in terms of miraculous or supernatural intervention).

Agnostic evolutionists either know that there is no way to determine the existence or nonexistence of God, or aren’t sure if there’s a way to determine the existence or nonexistence of God. As such, there’s no way to know (it’s a “known unknown”), or it’s not known if there’s a way to know (it’s an “unknown unknown”), if God played a role with the evolution of life on Earth or not.

Atheistic evolutionists point out that there is no objective, verifiable, physical evidence for the existence of the supernatural. Many people incorrectly perceive that atheism is required in order to comfortably accept evolution. NOPE. As an example, the Catholic Church publicly acknowledges the excellent scientific evidence for evolution and has declared that the reality of evolution does not interfere with belief in God. You don’t have to be an atheist to accept evolution.

Evolutionism ≠ Atheism

and

Christianity ≠ Creationism

The point here is - there’s no such thing as two sides to the “issue” of evolution. Evolution isn’t an issue anyway. There’s abundant evidence for evolution (e.g., molecular chemistry, genetics, soft part morphology, hard part morphology, embryology, homologous parts, atavisms, vestigial organs, breeding/artificial selection, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, body-plan convergence, genome comparisons, and the fossil record). There’s NO evidence inconsistent with evolutionary theory. None whatsoever. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. But this doesn’t have inherent implications regarding belief in God - many theists accept the reality of evolution.

Some creationists or theists claim that various scientific findings (e.g., the “fine-tuning” of the universal constants [sic]) have demonstrated the existence of God. Nope. Universal constants are the way they are as a consequence of reality, not the other way around. What does science say about religious beliefs? “No comment”. Science is based on facts & observations from nature. It's not based on beliefs. Never has been. Never will be. Whether you like it or not.

Some consider “belief” in evolution to be equivalent to a religious belief. It is not. The question “Do you believe in evolution?” is based on a false premise. Evolution is not something one “believes” in or not. This question has the same level of nonsense as the question “Do you believe that the sky is blue?” Well, the sky is blue whether you believe it or not. Evolution is real and is factual, whether you like it or not. No one “believes” or “doesn’t believe” in evolution - those aren’t options. One either accepts the reality of evolution or doesn't (= reality denial).

Some consider evolution to be a “belief” because it is not falsifiable (one of the criteria for ideas to be part of science). Well, that’s not so. If one found australopithecine fossils in the same sedimentary rock beds as Isotelus maximus trilobite fossils, then evolution is falsified. If one found Tyrannosaurus rex theropod dinosaur fossils in the same sedimentary rock beds as Dickinsonia costata Ediacaran fossils, then evolution is falsified. If one found a single fossil bunny rabbit in the Precambrian, then evolution is falsified. There’s a nearly infinite number of ways to potentially falsify evolution. However, no one has yet found a single piece of evidence that falsifies evolution. Evolution is not a belief. Evolution is falsifiable.

Some don’t accept or like evolution because the concept is perceived to have inspired atheistic evil doers in history - for example Josef Stalin and Adolf Hitler. Well, Hitler was Catholic and German soldiers were required to have references to God on their uniform. Hitler burned many books, including Darwin's "On the Origin of Species". In Russia, Stalin did his evil deeds in the name of Communism, not based on evolutionary biology (indeed, many Russian communist scientists engaged in anti-evolutionary pseudoscience - for example, Lysenkoism). Several celebrities in history have “used” evolutionary ideas to promote everything from capitalism to pacifism to anarchy to socialism - that’s a wide-ranging spectrum. There is obviously NO trend there. Saying evolutionism inspires evil is as ridiculous as saying vegetarianism inspires evil.

Evolutionary concepts don’t have to make one nervous or uneasy. Just relax. Calm down. Appreciate evolutionary ideas for what they are - explanations for some of the most wondrously complex systems in the Universe.

Chapter 1 - The new ruler of hell

In her skin-tight black latex catsuit and corset and high heel boots she was seen and very sexy hot. She knew none was sexier then she was and she knew none was more powerful. She knew that in hell all were evil in lust and greed and she knew if she was to walk pass the gates into hell she all would lust over her in such uncontrolled lust that all would wish to have sex with her. But she was very dominate and knew what she wanted. She knew there was a ruler in hell that she had to dominate like she had to everyone else. The world of Glossermul was now all in darkness within a powerful storm. Shimmerah catwalked towards the gate of hell and into hell. All bowed to her called her goddess while she said bow lower. She whipped many and walked over some. She walked 4 miles till she found a lake of lava and by it a redish black throne. Towering over it a mile high was the devil a powerful voice called to her saying. Why have you come before you death evil lass. None have ever come before me within my realm. I have full power over evil and I do so to keep order and a deal with the holy realm above. Shimmerah pointed at the devil saying “How dare you question me, I’m above all, My beauty and power can get me whatever I want. Now on your knees. The devils lust for her was higher than it had be for any being the devil had ever seen. The devil found it had to resist her, and she knew it, so he bowed. Shimmerah that told him “Now I shall become the new queen and goddess of hell, bow lower! He did, She then said “ your crown is mine, your throne is mine, and all your powers will be mine.” All of them said the devil, “Shut up! All of them” she shouted at him. Shimmerah sat on the throne as all the powers of hell flowed into her. Shimmerah’s eyes glowed red and she loved it. She made the devil as big as the human and bound him in latex. The now weak devil said to her there are 3 queens of hells all with their own powers. Queen of Lust, Queen of selfness, and queen of greed greed. Only one throne can be taken per day and you must poor all them sins into you, then you will be the turn ruler of hell.

Shimmerah walked into the palace of hell with latex demons which she had transformed walking behind her. The devil now that her slave and she used her powers to transform all her new palace into a shiny black latex hellish palace. She opened doors with her powers, some of the rooms where dimly lit but the demons could see her coming as her eyes glowed red with evilness. She got to her latex bedroom and made lots of latex sex toys of many kings. She lay on her latex bed fingering her pussy and putting a latex virbarting dildo up her bum. She made latex bumpy tentacles to stimulate all her erogenous zones while the latex demons whiched in lust to there sexy shiny new latex devil enjoyed herself moaning in lust. The latex tentacles slid in and out of her pussy till she orgasmed hard. then in next one went in, her nipples had verbaters pushed onto them and her clut was stimulated. She was like this for 20 hours orgarm after orgasme. She got up off her latex bed now in a red latex outfit and putting latex dildos in her pussy and on up her bum. She kept them in her while she walked on out of her rubberized palace.

Chapter 2 - The 3 queens of hell

Shimmerah, with a languid stretch that showcased the exquisite curve of her latex-clad form, surveyed her new domain. Her omniscience, though temporarily lost and then painstakingly re-acquired through cunning and sheer will, now pierced the veil of Hell's deepest recesses, revealing the three formidable entities she sought. Each queen reigned over a distinct layer of Hell, their power radiating outwards, influencing the damned and tempting the living. She came to the tower of lust a shiny glossy tower within a fog or pink lust. The pink lust was thick and within was queen Lilithiana with her power of Desire Manifestation moaning in lustful sexual pleasure as she enjoyed the kinkiest and most sluttyest sex any girl could ever dream of having. Shimmerah walked into the pink lust knowing her own lust was already at nyhpomania level with her sex toys within her vibrating like crazy. Lilithiana was being gangbanged by demons while is was made of latex and with tons of sex toys that Shimmerah had never seen, Lilithiana was under a shower of pink liquid lust as it poored over her making her even more lustful. She was drinking it and orgasming lots of pink lust every few seconds while telling the demons the fuck her harder and faster. Shimmerah liked what she saw and wanted this kinky power for herself. Shimmerah looked at herself in a mirror and fell in love with her self. But snapped out of it knowing it was Lilithiana mincing her self-love. Shimmerah knew she was the hottest girl and Lilithiana looked at her telling her shes soo hot. Shimmerah then say that Lilithiana was now lusting over her so Shimmerah sat on Lilithiana throne next to her and kissed her while fingering Lilithiana’s pussy making her orgasm harder. Lilithiana’s lust started to leek into Shimmerah so Shimmerah got sex toys and started putting them into Lilithiana while sucking up her powers and lust. In the end Lilithiana flopped to the floor weak as Shimmerah now grow demon horns and had all of Lilithiana’s lust and power.

Next Shimmerah went to the tower of greed, the tower was made of shiny Gold with lots of shiny gold coins all around. Within the gold was queen Avaritia who was made of shiny gold and in pools of liquid gold with shiny stones and gems. She had the power to control the greed of beings in every world. She loved making being greedy and falling to her will and power. She took everything and always wanted more. Shimmerah was thinking that she was Goldglossin the Goddess of greed but found that Goldglossin was a much high much more powerful being. Shimmerah walked up to her pushing her down with her powers, Shimmerah took away all her powerful gems and said she can worship only her, Saying all is now mine and so is your power. A green mist poored out of Avaritia and into a newly made magical golden ring that Shimmerah had just made. Shimmerah put the ring on one of her fingers saying this it the ring of greed and all of the power of green is now mine. After this Shimmerah formed a shiny red latex demon tail.

Next Shimmerah flew to the tower of Selfishness home to queen Egotia, The hall within the tower seemed endless darkness and within on a throne was a sexy shiny latex demoness all in black latex and made of black latex, her eyes glowed red and her crown horns longer than the other demons. Egotia was within a pool of something as splashing could be heard, She had goblets of liquid youth and she was very sexy hot not wanting anyone to be more sexier then herself. Shimmerah removed the liquids and teleported up to her saying, Your throne is mine, Shimmerah took the crown from off Egotia’s head and put it on her own head. The power from Egotia then poored into her while Shimmerah said, I’m to devil the goddess of evil and all is for me and just for me. Everything mine and all how every I want it to be. When all the powers of Egotia was hers Shimmerah’s crown was now made of fire. Her eyes glowing and firey red, her shiny demon horns and latex tail. She now had full power over the realm of hell. The 3 queens where now her slaves and The devil was turned to ash.

Chapter 3 - The Lamp of Aladdon

Shimmerah, a goddess of evil, lust, and beauty, sought to conquer the realm of heaven. She aimed to circumvent the existing agreement between the devil and the deities, desiring absolute control for herself. To achieve her ambitions, she consulted her "mirror of knowing," which revealed that she was the "hottest girl of all." The mirror also informed her that entering the realm of holy light would cause Aeon, the god of time, to pull her into an alternate timeline, and that the deities would be unable to perceive her. To fulfill her desires, the mirror directed her to the "wishing lamp of Aladdon.

The lamp's location was initially in Dommalex, where Shimmerah once resided. However, it had been moved from Glossermul to the world of Nothinhois by the shadow king, and subsequently cast into the past of Dommalex within universe-13R5. In this alternate universe, another version of Shimmerah guarded the lamp, keeping its existence hidden from the evil Shellyana, the queen of latex greed. The original Shimmerah, intrigued by the prospect of her sister's evil nature, also planned to find Shellyana's soul from her own universe, -17Z9, to corrupt her and enslave her as a demon.

To obtain the lamp, Shimmerah cloned herself and engaged in an act of self-love on her throne, leaving her clone to occupy it. Through telepathic connection with her clone, she teleported to universe-13R5 and located the alternate Shimmerah, who wore a white dress instead of latex. The original Shimmerah, feigning concern, claimed to be from another universe and sought the lamp to protect it from Shellyana. She then employed "lust manipulation" to disarm the alternate Shimmerah, taking her "magic ring of pure-light" and "ring of wisdom." The alternate Shimmerah, overcome with lust, questioned how such evil could exist. The original Shimmerah, while mockingly caressing her own latex-clad body, read the alternate Shimmerah's mind, discovering that the lamp was hidden within a dream world created by the alternate Shimmerah.

The evil latex Shimmerah then "dream-walked" into this dream world, where she found a room filled with gold and powerful artifacts. As she attempted to enter, she began to sink into the gold coins, as if the room itself resisted her. Despite this, she successfully retrieved the magic lamp. Upon exiting the dream world, she found herself in a void, neither in the dream nor the real world. She rubbed the lamp, and a genie emerged, offering her three wishes. Shimmerah's first wish was for "Eternal and Absolute Power over all the Multiverse So I can bend all rules to my own will.

Chapter 4 - The 6 deities of multiverse 0018

Using her power of mass manipulation she towered over the realm of heaven looking down on their blue misty temple The goddess and gods saw her looking down on them. Aeon went to stop her but his could not and she took back the stone of seeing which Aeon had taken from her long ago. Rubberrocken - Goddess of protection tried to save the others from Shimmerah while Latexshinex - The goddess of power found her power was being take away be Shimmerah while she greedly giggled saying all is now mine as nothing can stop me. Aeon found he no longer had any power and Vida goddess of life found her power was going. Starsun faded into dust from Shimmerahs power now having full control over the cosmos. Gimmorrighte the goddess of light felt a darkness coming over her as the holy realm was dimming. Shimmerah made Gimmorrighte into a latex rubberdolly slave and Vida also. A very powerful being came named Zencosmoe and took Latexshinex The goddess of power out of the Multiverse and was gone. Shimmerah was not happy that one got away, but the other 5 where now her toys, her play things.

She got all the 6 thrones of the deities and transformed them into a new throne which was made of power power. All the power of the Multiverse flowed into this new throne. The throne flashed and glowed with many universes within it. The throne was then coated with black latex Which Shimmerah then sat upon. The othere 4 deities as latex dolls bound in rubber at her feet made to worship her, Shimmerah grabed a universe from out of the multiverse holding it within her hand smiling while saying, "I and do as I want to any universe I want. She pulled out off the powers from that universe and than crushed it within her hand while giggling. She then took Universe-17Z9 to where she was from and looked down to the world of Dommalex. The people of Dommalex saw her face in the night sky and she then truned back time with the power she took from Aeon the god of time. She went back to the time after her past self was sent into the future by Aeon and she took Mistess Luna who was within Shimmerah dark crystal latex palace within the dark ruined Wealthold City the Capital of Gonzzul. Luna was taken to Shimmerah's new corrupted heaven. Luna bowed low to her knew who she was and happy that she had now so much power. Shimmerah said to her "not the deities are slaves to my beauty and power, even hell is mine and all the souls after life are mine to controll. The worlds are now like drit under my shiny boots. Even universes are like drops of water to me. It I want some thing I can have it as all is now mine. All must do and give me all I wish. I can be as slutty or and mean as I wish and none can stop me." Luna still bowing in worship said yes my goddess I'm nothing and your everthing." Shimmerah Made the mirror of knowing form before her and said to it. "Mirror I have the power the have all I wish, But yet I still want even more, Where did Latexshinex go and who took her from me? The mirror then said "Latexshinex was taken by a being so powerful its named it known to all within the multiverse it powers are beyond time and space and even the powers you have now. It lives beyond reality, existence and even nonexistence. Its the being which made all things in all timelines. It had taken Latexshinex beyond the multiverse into another multiverse." Shimmerah became unhappy as she deemed she had it all, but then calmed down thinking on how she could take over it all. She asked the mirror, "So theres more for me to rule?" Luna said she would help if she could, Shimmerah whipped Luna saying "Did I say you could talk" Shimmerah looked to the cave of greed and could not see it, She asked the mirror was the cave of greed had gone?" The mirror said it was taken by the same being who took Latexshinex. Shimmerah wanted the power of that being and for it to bow in worship to her. She took her magic wishing lamp and rubbed it. I wish for all the power of the higest being. The djinn' then said, I was made within this multiverse by the being who now knee before you. I have not the power to give things beyond this multiverse."

Chapter 5 - Her 2rd wish

An idea came to her while thinking of her beauty and how far it had gotten her "I wish for my beauty and seductive power to be so overwhelming that no being, regardless of their will or resistance, can ever defy my commands or escape my allure." Her beauty and sexyness become millions of times higher then it ever was, Even so she was millions of times more prettyer and sexy perfect that any girl had been within her multiverse. She looked at herself within a mirror and then giggled saying "Still not enough, I will be even hotter" Then from nothing she made a wave of Liqued youth come flooding in and the wave push into her. Each drop drank of liquid youth made her 10 times more perfectly beautful in ever way. She licked it off her shiny glossy lips. Then another wave splashed over her. She sat on her throne too sexy to behold. She then made it rain over her, As she sat in the hottest pose dripping wet from liquid youth in her sexy shiny black latex outfit. Sex toys humming within her. She fulled glasses of liquid youth and drank lots of it. She asked the Mirro of knowing Now will all do as I say and wish. The mirror said yes my Goddess" Shimmerah grinned and then said "What more to have? The mirror told her The grim-reaper has the power the end all things and has some power of deletion within many of your universe. I has the power to remove things from all universes. It lives within its own pocket dimension called the barren realm. With your sexyness the reaper with fall in lust to you."

Chapter 6 - The reapers realm

Shimmerah had taken over of the Multiverse 0018, Took over all of hell so she could have the power over all the souls, as she happily become the latex goddess of evil. She knew she was a very greedy latex girl and the let her lust make her evil as she not cared about anyone or anything but herself. She was so sexy and knew her beauty could get her whatever she wanted. She took over all of heaven where she sat on the new high throne. The once holy gods and goddess now in lust to her beauty on the floor in worship to her as slaves. Shimmer enjoyed her power over all things as she played with Universes, transforming worlds to her liking, She wanted all in all the Multiverse to not only know her but to be slaves to her and worship her. All where strating to knew that there new ruler was very evil, and at the same time very sexy hot, she was too sexy beautiful to say no to. Shimmerah played with the time lines of some worlds, and even played with the dream worlds of some of the beings within the Universes, If she not wanted a Universe there she would remove it and take all its power. But even with all her beauty she still drank more and more liquid youth. She whipped a goddess by her feet and used her as a stool to put her feet up on. Mistress Luna seeing the corrupted heaven, came to Shimmerah where shimmerah said to her Luna after reading her mind, Yes the demons of the hidden voids should bow to me also. Vida goddess of light and Gimmorrighte goddess of light, said within their minds became worred, think not more. But Shimmerah know and said, yes more, much more. Shimmerah whipped them giggleing. Shimmer looked into the Universes and saw that within her old Universe to where so came from called Universe-17Z9 she saw a pocket dimension which was ruler by Fetishiah - succubus of lust, there she saw Fetishiah had cloned herself and was making love to her clones. Shimmerah teleported into the pocket dimension and as soon as Fetishiah saw Shimmerah she fell in lust to her. All the clones become lustful to shimmerah and said there will be her slaves. Shimmer told Fetishiah that she wanted the reaper and all his power. Fetishiah said the reaper had never fallen in lust to anyone before, and he want no power. Shimmerah ask to where he was and Fetishiah opened a portal to an pocket dimension under all the pocket dimensions. Shimmerah enterd into it and all the world was dead and barren. The sky was like ash and there was no life, no water, nothing but a dry dusty black world. Shimmer saw the reaperas hooded, Shimmerah catwalked to him. All in shiny black skin-tight latex. She had demon horns. He ask why she had come and when here you must talk your mind to get what you want. Shimerah then said, I want everything, I don’t care about you or anyone, as long as i get my own way, I want it to be all about me. I want every known power, and to control everything. I want all your power and for you to bow to me in worship. I’m so sexy, ant I? She reaper nodded, She said give me all you power till you got none left. The reaper bowed to her, She giggled, saying “See, its not hard, and I always get what I want anyways.” She took all his power now having the power to delete all things if she wanted to. She knew she needed Latexshinex the goddess of power to have the power the remake all the Multiverse 0018 to how she wanted all to be. On the way out of the barren lands she deleted the reapers realm, and the reaper. She found the cave of greed which was another pocket dimensions and took it to her lair.

Chapter 7 - The path of Sliverleaf

She looked into the cave of greed as the other gods and goddess as her slaves tryed to stop her saying its not safe, Shiny shut them up with her whip. She knew that there was know girls a lustful as latex queen Sliverleaf, She knew the cave of greed give all the wishes to all who went into it and as many wishes as they wished, but could never lever the cave. Sliverleaf’s went into the cave befor Shimmerah had even throne her 1st throne. Queen sliverleaf’s lust and greed for latex and sex was beyond. When queen Sliverleaf entered the Cave of Greed, Sliverleaf made several wishes to Goldglossin, the goddess of greed, which transformed her into a demi-goddess of latex and lust. These wishes included. Unlimited latex: All her surroundings became shiny latex, and she gained the ability to control and create latex. Transformation into latex: Her skin and hair became shiny black latex, making her entirely composed of the material. Eternal high libido: Her libido would remain at its highest forever, ensuring continuous sexual arousal and orgasms. Infinite sex: She would have all the sex she desired, in any way she wished. Immortality: She became immortal, never aging or dying, ensuring her kinky fun would last for all time. Over 4,000 years within the cave (equivalent to 40 years outside), Sliverleaf's powers and desires continued to escalate.

Queen Sliverleaf's power history is characterized by a series of wishes that transformed her into a demi-goddess of latex and lust within the Cave of Greed, granting her immense control over latex and an insatiable, ever-escalating sexual pleasure. Sliverleaf wished for an abundance of latex, to be entirely composed of shiny, slippery latex, and to possess the power to control and manipulate latex. She also wished for her libido to remain perpetually high and for unlimited sexual experiences. These initial wishes led to her transformation into a being made of black latex, with her surroundings also becoming latex. Over time, her desires intensified, and she wished to live forever without aging, ensuring endless kinky latex experiences and the highest forms of sexual pleasure.

Her power further evolved through the consumption of "pink lust," a mist or liquid that appears when a demoness of lust's pleasure level is exceptionally high. Drinking pink lust exponentially increased her libido and sexual pleasure, leading her to bathe in pools of it, multiplying her pleasure by ten with every drop. This process transformed her into a shiny, slutty latex succubus with the ability to enter the dreams of those outside the cave. She then wished to be immortal and to absorb sexual pleasure from dreamers who lust after her, further escalating her own ecstasy.

Ultimately, Sliverleaf's wishes culminated in a desire for universal conquest of pleasure. She wished to infinitely replicate herself across all dimensions, universes, and timelines, with each clone generating and feeding pleasure back into her prime self, aiming to transform all existence into a singular, infinitely orgasmic Sliverleaf-consciousness.. She also wished to be the most sexually attractive being, capable of having sex with her clones, and for all beings to lust after he. Her powers include the ability to change her physical form, such as growing multiple "pussys" or transforming her "clut" into a "latex cock," and altering her skin and hair color instantly.. She can also make any part of her body an erogenous zone and create sex toys from latex. Shimmerah saw that Queen Silverleaf was still have all the sex a being could ever think of having. The cave was made into 10 pocket dimensions, some of the pocket dimension had nothing within when some had greedy latex queens within, Sliverleafs pocket dimension was an endless sea of pink lust, sex toys and all the sex she could have which keep ob times by the brillions more per second. Sliverleaf was loving it. Shimmerah wanted akk this sex also, But she knew that The cave was ruled by Goldglossin the goddess of greed. Shimmer knew that the other 6 goddess’s and gods had trapped Goldglossin within it, and with all Shimmerah’s power could now see that Goldglossin’s power was far beyond her own if Goldglossin was to be left out. This told Shimmerah that if there was beings more powerful then her then there must be more to rule. But Shimmerah wanted this pink lust, as When she has everything she could remake all and everything to her own lust and latex fetish having endless kinky sex with her self. She told her goddesss and gods who where her saves saying, “ I will keep Sliverleaf within the cave of greed for now, but one day all her libido and sexual pleasure will be mine to enjoy.

Chapter 8 - The djinn's power

She asked her mirror of knowing to how many wishing lanps there where, The mirror said there is 18 in each multiverse and each is bound be spells, puzzles and rules of the universe there in. Shimmerah know she only had one wish left and she rubbed her lamp saying I wish to know where all the wishing lamps are all the superverses. The Djinn said is only knows where the 18 are from within the multiverse its from, So Shimmerah wished to know where all 18 within that multiverse where, The Djinn lets her mind know to where within the universes and where on each planet. She saw the next one was within universe-63d1 within multiverse-2431 She knew she could not show her powers within this multiverse as the rules are not the same in each multiverse. She looked at the warld it was in and it was like Dommalex but with out powerful beings. Latex was a fashion worn but was very very rare as it was seen as being far to sexy for public wear, this planet was named Nori.

Shimmerah sunk into her multiverse within the sea of liquid youth mixed with pink liquid lust she came up into the in a pool of Pink liquid which had formed within closed swimming pool. Shimmerah made herself 16 teen years old and came out transforming her outfit. She wore a sexy red latex catsuit and over it a latex black mini-school-skirt, Black latex crop-top and black latex stockings and boots. She walked in Katarlex city and into the museum of histroy saying she studying fork-lore in school. She was taken behind the senes of the museum by a curator named Mr, Cold who worked with old artifacts, Mr, cold had a crush on Shimmerah and felt he could not say no she was she wanted, Shimmerah acting shy and sassy said she wanted to see the lamp of Fargonen. Mr Cold said its forbbin but Shimmerah then said She come back another time feeling his lust for her. Mr Cold then said he will let her see it. She said if she could hold it. Mr, cold said as its said to be real none can hld it as none can make wishes. Shimmerah said but I want to make a wish. Mr cold said we don't rub it in anywhere. Then Shimmerah took gigging, Mr Cold shouted no! And Shimmerah rubbed the lump gigging with a greedy grin. They both say a Djinn made of ash, Shimmerah could to the being, "I wish to rule over all this multiverse and have all power do do what ever I want. Mr' cold shocked by her greedyness, The museum turned dark and she now sat on a black shiny throne in a black latex catsuit, her crown on fire and the room formed latex, Then the museum turned to dust as all power followed into her. Shimmerah then grew and towered over the city stepping on skyscrapers. Shimer then said I wish to that only I can make wishes from all the wishing lamps and know one eles can have any as I want them all from my sexy perfect self. She telported back to her lair and said to her Djinn For my 3rd wish I wish to had all the other 16 magic lamps right now. All the 16 other lamps of that multiverse all came before her. All the lamps hoverd around her throne, She took one of them and rubbed it, I wish to know about and the understand all known powers so I know what I'm lokking for. She now know about ever magic item. She know about The jar of Goldglossin. She new Goldglossin was trapped withing the cave of greed but now found only a part of her with within the cave, Her ture power was within the The jar of Goldglossin. Goldglossin was an evil greedy being whoms power was beyond all the multiverses and even beyond the Superverse, She was trapped within this jar which was made by Zencosmoe a being so high that none know of a higher power. It was the 8th and 9th ranked beings made by Zencosmoe who trapped Goldglossin with the jar as she was taken over everything. Shimmerah then wished for all of Zencosmoe's power, but the Djinn said there can not give power beyond the very making of the djinn or beyond the being who made the djinn. Shimmerah found the one who made the djinn was a 8th rank being. Shimmerah Then wished for the power to go anything unseen by the high beings so none will know her plans, she then crushed that djinn till it was no more.

We passed by Pajo's in Steveston and that place was flooded with customers. I told my girlfriend that we could never get food from there since the wait was probably an hour or so. As we walked towards Garry Point Park, we realized that Pajo's lineup in here was nonexistence. It took less than 5 minutes to order and get our food. The interesting thing is that the distance between Steveston's and Garry Point Park's is like 5-10 minutes walk.

Pajo is one of my favorites fish and chips places in Vancouver. Their bladder isn't too thick and fishes inside are very juicy. Even the old man in the picture had to order more for take out :)

Location: Richmond, BC (Pajo's Fish and Chips)

I got a guitar!! :)

I'm so happy I can't even put it into words! I start lessons one week from tomorrow :)

Bleegh... sorry about this crappy photo... I might replace it :\

ANYWAYS, sorry for my nonexistence... I've been on Tumblr! So if you want to talk to me, just message me on there!

I'm on spring break right now. One week off!

AND OMG. I SAW THE HUNGER GAMES LAST FRIDAY.

Dude, it was amazing! The book was better, because they cut out a lot of stuff, most of my favourite parts :( But, I still love it! I went with two of my friends, so I'll probably go a couple more times ;)

But, I'm still alive! So YAY! Bahahah.

Oh, and this looks awesome in lightbox :)

Jaguars (Panthera onca) were once found both in North and South America. However, habitat loss and persecution of this species has lowered its numbers almost to nonexistence in North America and much of its territory in South America. It can now mainly be found in the rain forests of the Amazon Basin.

The largest cat of the Americas, jaguars are stocky, muscular and very strong for their size. Male jaguars are generally 10 – 20 percent larger than females. Males typically weigh 125 – 210 lbs (55 – 95 kg), but larger males have been known to weigh up to 350 lbs (159 kg).

The size and weight of these animals varies depending on location; jaguars in more northerly regions tend to be smaller, while those in more southerly regions are typically larger.

The jaguar’s spots provide very effective camouflage in its jungle habitat. This species also exhibits a condition known as melanism, which causes some jaguars to have a black coat. Melanism occurs in about 6 percent of the jaguar population. Black jaguars are sometimes also called “black panthers.” Jaguars resemble the leopards of Asia and Africa in appearance, but the jaguar is larger and sturdier.

I'm dedicating this, To the ones who don't exist

Are you hearing this? Are you hearing this?

The Unwanted, unneeded

You've always been mistreated,

Hang on! (Don't believe what they say)

Rebecca Solnit has devoted her memoir to anecdotes of growing up female in a male centered society that wishes to silence women, dominate them and sometimes terrify them. This made for grim reading that also made me see that straight women are between a rock and a hard place—having to put up with bullshit from men on the off chance that one might prove to be boyfriend material.

Given that nothing particularly terrible happens to her—no rape scene, no actual violence—this is really more of a feminist treatise on how women grow up already thinking they aren’t significant and what it might take to unlearn this and begin to take up space and be seen. A lot of this is insightful and worthwhile.

It is also a memoir about a woman writer’s life and the small triumphs that keep one writing. And since she lives in San Francisco it is a memoir of place and of her friendships with gay men. I was curious to see if she had any friendships with lesbians, but apart from some lesbian neighbors who are old so not of interest, none are mentioned. Gay men are great foils for straight women, but lesbians and straight girls don’t mix. Possibly because lesbians don’t have to live a life centered around men. And so there would be little to discuss between the two. (I'm being catty. I do of course have straight women friends who are colleagues with plenty to talk about between us.)

She does indeed understand the territory that keeps women silent and the title of this memoir is the most clever thing about it. But I did long for even a single note of defiance, subversiveness or out and out rebellion even humor about this territory that every woman in the West inhabits. At which point I was inspired to write such a chapter of my own. Which is why I read memoirs.

I did cling with glee to the line in chapter two about the engineer boots she favored as an eleven year old which she explains by saying “I was trying not to be that despised thing, a girl….” From this I can glean that some part of her does understand that the process of becoming a girl is a frustrating one of realizing that you must become that despised thing. And any possibility of escaping this destination will be tried in numerous options of self harming including not to become a girl at all. Which is why I expect women especially a feminist to understand when this opting not to be a girl in such large numbers is an aberration, but in her recent article to the Guardian trying to calm women about the fear of trans women in women only places, she dismisses this surge in transitioning girls with not even a pause to investigate. It just wouldn’t fit the progressive messaging. And besides such a transboy has emerged in her own family so not to swallow the trans cult messaging would be treasonous. Everyone has their blind spot.

Part of a series dealing with cancer, specifically following women in the balding stage due to chemotherapy. This series deals with the radical acceptance and courage in dealing with and overcoming fears--little or big (losing hair, the stripping of our "identity" physically and emotionally, vulnerability, the deeper fear of nonexistence, impermanence, the unknown, etc.). this series is less about death, and more about life, living it to the fullest while we can. My art is hugely inspired by the spiritual poet Rumi, as a child watching my mom battle (and unfortunately lose) to cancer, and the many stories I have researched/witnessed and heard from/of women battling cancer and facing their fears. Cancer and the possibility of a shorter life can really put all the other little fears to a halt and I admire that understanding--that it is obtainable without ever personally experiencing cancer/illness. This is an ongoing series as I am also learning and working through many of my fears in the process of painting these women and growing from doing so.

Esoteric Consideration of the Perfect Ashlar

David D. Mavity, MM

In our Entered Apprentice lecture, we are presented with, and likened to, two of our Moveable Jewels, the Rough Ashlar and the Perfect Ashlar. The Rough Ashlar is described as “a stone as taken from the quarry in its rude and natural state.” It symbolizes every one of us, as natural, imperfect men.

The Perfect Ashlar, by contrast, is explained as “a stone made by the hands of the workman to be adjusted by the Working Tools of the Fellow Craft.” It symbolizes a state of perfection theoretically achieved by the Master Mason, realistically achieved by few men.

After our Initiation, we are placed, as a building stone in the traditional position for cornerstone placement by Operative Masons- the North- East corner. This is symbolic of our Masonic “birth,” and has a further allusion as to our relative exposure to Masonic Light: partly in the Light of the East, and partly in the darkness of the North, but at this stage, still mostly in the dark.

Typical of Masonic symbolism, this is a relatively clear, almost self- explanatory, almost obvious allegory; even more typical, however,is that there is more meaning, if we wish to explore this symbol further.

What is the actual meaning of this perfection, which we symbolize by, essentially, a polished rock? How does it manifest? Where can it be found?

At this point, a brief explanation of the Hebrew alphabet as used in mysticism may be necessary for those not familiar with some of its more curious characteristics:

First, the aleph-bet is descended from a hieroglyphic alphabet. Each letter name is a word, and each has its obvious word meaning. Kabalistically, each letter also has a hidden meaning.

According to the “Sefer Yetsirah,” (the Book of Formation, one of the oldest Kabalistic texts) unlike modern languages, which use their characters only to form words for written and oral communication, the Hebrew alphabet is considered to be alive. Not alive in the sense of a living or dead language, but alive in the sense that each character represents a living component “spark” of Spirit/matter, and any combination in the form of a word, or phrase to be a representation of an actual creation composed of that Spirit/matter. 1.

Think of this alphabet as an ancient, Hebrew, spiritual Periodic Table of the Elements, and Hebrew words as a sort of spiritual molecular chain.

Stone, and finished stone in particular, is an ancient symbol of perfection, common to many Mystery systems. Two of the systems worth discussing that rely on this symbol heavily are Kabala and Alchemy , both of which, arguably, have contributed to our own Masonic Tradition.

Kabala has several variants, including the traditional Hebrew system, and the so-called Hermetic system, which combines large portions of the traditional system with other disciplines such as Astrology, Alchemy, Tarot, etc..

Esoteric Alchemy is a tradition that uses chemical allegory to “transmute base metals into Gold,” in the same way we, as Masons, use stone- working allegory to “build the Temple.”

In Hebrew, the word for stone is “e-ven”, spelled Aleph-Beth-Nun in Hebrew characters, the equivalent of ABN in English. This particular word for stone implies building stone in a finished state, or, a Perfect Ashlar.

The word ‘bn has some peculiar attributes when submitted to the process of esoteric analysis:

-The first two letters, Aleph and Beth, taken together spell ‘av- “Father.”

-The last two letters, Beth and Nun, spell ben- “Son.”

The implication of this word, when taken in this sense as a symbol of perfection, is the unification of the father, ‘av, and the son, ben. In many Christian mystical systems, this is how Christ’s words, ”The Father and I are one,” are interpreted. It implies unobstructed conscious union of the human spirit with G-d and the realization of their Identity as a unified whole.

Most importantly, understand that this state of union with Divinity is not something we work to achieve; it is already established, we work to discover it through education, expansion of intellect, and subduing of passions.

Further analysis may be made of this word by an analytical technique known as Notarikon. Notarikon is the art of reading a Hebrew word, not as a communicative sound or symbol, but as graphic statements of interacting principles. Letters are read as words and /or phrases, combining the traditional hidden meanings of the Hebrew letters, which are strung together in order in the form of an equation. The meanings, both exoteric and esoteric, of the letters for ABN are as follows:

Aleph:

Exoteric: “ox” or “bull.”

Esoteric: pure power and force, mastery, the Ain Soph Aur of the Kabbalists, the Limitless Light or L.V.X. of the Hermetists, or G-d as Pure Pressure and Force.

Beth:

Exoteric:“house”

Esoteric: manifestation, establishment, internalization, form, body, to embrace or to pair.

Nun:

Exoteric: as a verb, “to propagate” or “to reproduce.”

Esoteric: potentiality, display, and implementation.

When the hidden meanings of these letters are combined into the word for stone, this particular type of analysis gives us several similar conclusions:

-The life Force paired with its display

-A compacted formulation of potentiality

-Principle interiorized for purpose

All these give the same basic message as the first analysis- the realization of the Divine captured within man and man as individualized, unified, physical emanations of Deity.

Again, not the establishment of this state, but a realization of its necessary pre-existence.

Gematria is another analytical technique which is a helpful tool, although it is greatly misunderstood and often erroneously thrown in to the category of “numerology.”

In Hebrew, and in ancient Greek, each letter of the alphabet is also a number. By taking the combined numerical value of a word, comparisons may be made and contemplated between different words and concepts.

The numerical value of this word for stone, e-ven, is 53. Knowing that, we have made a mental connection between this word, and any other word that adds to the same number. A few words that also add to 53, as given in the first five books of the Old Testament:

-Genesis: “stone,” “garden,”” I do bring,” “and he became great.”

-Exodus: “and was content,” “I will utterly.”

-Leviticus: “her produce.”

-Numbers: “the host.”

-Deuteronomy: “ we shall come,” “the great,” “wealth.”

Keep in mind that the conceptual relationships made by any given individual tend to be personal, and derived through contemplation and meditation, so deeper spiritual connections between these words must be made by individually. No two people will interpret these exactly the same way.

In Alchemical texts, and in some European Masonic Tradition, there appears another peculiar word: V.I.T.R.I.O.L.. Exoterically, when written as a word in lower case, vitriol is chemical slang for sulphuric acid, or sulpher salts, which, curiously enough, are used in Operative Masonry for preparing a stone surface for a smooth application of aggregate or stucco.

Written in capitals, each letter punctuated by periods, this word takes on a much deeper significance.. It is an acronym for the Latin phrase: “Visita Interiora Terrae Refectificando Invenies Ocultam Lapidem.” Translation: Visit the Interior of the Earth, and Rectifying (i.e. purifying) you will find the Hidden Stone.

The meaning of “Earth” here is of particular Masonic interest. It requires us to make use of the Hermetic axiom, “ That which is Above is as that which is Below, and that which is Below is as that which is Above.” Simply put, the Universe is arranged in such a way that there is always a correspondence between the laws and phenomena of the various planes of Being and Life. It is the basic theory of life existing in Macrocosm and Microcosm, and is an endless two way process, with every “Macro” a relative “Micro” to that above it, and every “Micro” the “Macro” of that below.

In this case, the Lodge Room, or Temple, represents the planet Earth, macrocosmically. A quick look at the Old Testament account of the Temple “furniture” will affirm this to the more contemplative- minded, and a thoughtful look at a modern Lodge Room and Ritual will yield some of the same results.

Microcosmically, the Lodge Room represents us, individually: in proportion, in symbolism, as a microcosm of the Earth. This is the Earth we are encouraged to “visit,” our interior center. This interior center is the human heart, or the Point within the Circle, and at this center, we find and purify the “hidden Stone”; the ABN of the Kabbalists, the Philosopher’s Stone of the Alchemists, and the Perfect Ashlar of Freemasonry.

Additionally, Alchemy gives a technique, veiled in allegory, for this discovery and purification of the stone. While the language of this discipline is incredibly rich in symbolism, it can be very hard to follow, and is made even more confusing by its mixture of chemical and astronomical terms. In Alchemical texts, we can variously read, “Integrate Gold and Silver, by the use of Mercury,” “The Sun and the Moon, with the aid of Mercury,” and “Salt and Sulpher, dissolved with the Universal Solvent.” All refer to the conscious act of perfection by internally reconciling Duality- balancing Dark with Light, Female with Male, Negative with Positive, Inertia with Fury. Regardless of terminology, all result in the discovery of the “hidden stone.” One of the beauties of our esoteric Masonic system is that all these allegories and symbols, from Kabalistic, Hermetic, and Alchemical systems, can be found in all three of our Degrees, by “those who have ears to hear.”

At the lintel of the entrance to the Temple of Apollo at Delphi were inscribed the words, “Gnothi Seauton”- Know Thyself. This working and polishing of the Rough Ashlar to achieve the state of the Perfect Ashlar is an internal process of self- discovery and knowledge.

By discovering the True Self, we come to an understanding of our Creator, where He dwells, and what He desires. We learn of our true relationship with Deity- one of Unity, as co- creators within the plan on His Trestle- Board; and of Unity with our fellow man, and through this discovery, we learn to act accordingly towards G-d, each other, and ourselves.

1.Sefer Yetsirah, chapter 2:

“Twenty- two foundation letters. He ordained them, He hewed them, He combined them, He weighed them, He interchanged them. And he created with them the whole Creation and everything to be created in the future.”

“He formed substance out of chaos and made nonexistence into existence. Carved great pillars out of air that cannot be grasped. This is the sign: one forsees, transposes, and makes all creation and all words with one Name. And a sign of this: twenty- two objects in a single body.

Jaguars at Edinburgh Zoo Edinburgh Zoo has two Jaguars, a male and a female. Mowgli, our male, was born in October 2004 and came to us in 2005 from Beauval Zoo, France. Mowgli has a black coat and is very bold and curious.

In June 2007 we received our female, Tina. Tina is a spotted jaguar, with a beautiful golden coat covered with “rosettes,” or groupings of black spots. Tina was being kept in a circus in Belgium, but was seized by customs because it was illegal for the circus to have her. Tina was assigned to Edinburgh Zoo so that she could become a part of the European breeding programme.

We believe Tina is between six and eight years old. Because she was overfed in her former home, she is overweight. Tina’s diet is now being monitored. She has already lost some weight and is on a gentle exercise regime that is incorporated into her training. The weight loss has to be done very slowly so her liver and kidneys are not affected. Tina is quiet but enjoys attention from her keepers. Our two jaguars will be kept apart until it is the right time for them to breed.

Where it can be found at Edinburgh ZooThe Jaguar enclosure is toward the north of the park, between the European wolf enclosure and the wolverine enclosure.

However, habitat loss and persecution of this species has lowered its numbers almost to nonexistence in North America and much of its territory in South America. Jaguars are excellent hunters, stalking and ambushing their prey rather than chasing it. Their muscular strength also makes them outstanding climbers and swimmers. The jaguar has an extremely strong bite, and often drags its kill long distances or even up a tree to keep it safe from other predators.

The number of jaguars in the wild is in decline. Some of the major threats to the jaguar include habitat loss from deforestation and habitat fragmentation throughout Latin America. Jaguars also suffer from human persecution; they compete with humans for prey animals, and are often shot for killing cattle. Commercial hunting of jaguars for the fur trade has declined drastically since protective programs like the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) were enacted the mid-1970s. However, jaguar teeth, claws, paws, and other products are still sought after in some countries.

Because of these and other threats, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has listed the jaguar as Near Threatened, with the likelihood of being listed as Vulnerable in the near future. This means that the jaguar will be facing a high risk of extinction in the wild.

I drove for almost 12 hours to take a picture I could have taken an hour from home. Hilarity.

I'm in Kadoka, South Dakota (plans changed a bit, so I'm taking a bit of a different route). South Dakota may not look far on a map from Wisconsin, but believe me. It is far. I had wanted to get about 60 miles (96km) further west today, but the sun very abruptly set, so I Just got a hotel room. The fact that I drove past a tornado in Minnesota also slowed me down. I ended up doing 35mph (56km/hr) and I couldn't see anything, it was raining so hard. And then I saw a funnel cloud, and was like "I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE." It sucked. I hate the midwest.

Also, I was tagged to write 10 things about me.

1. I have very bony elbows. The armrest on the door of my car is unpadded, and if I drive long enough, I can bruise my elbow. As an aside, I've gone past bruise on this trip already, and into almost-blister territory.

2. I bite my fingernails into near nonexistence. Emily was trying to paint my nails like, a year or two ago, and said it was like painting a kid's nails. I don't have a ruler with me, or I'd measure them. Picture a kernel of corn. But fingernail-colored. Not yellow. Ew.

3. I am borderline anemic. I discovered this when I tried to give blood and couldn't. Although I've had sex with a man who's had sex with another man since the 1980s, so he and I obviously both have AIDS, and can't give blood anyway. I'm not bitter.

4. I have never left the continental US. I don't even have a passport.

5. I have broken my left wrist twice and my nose twice. My left wrist is now slightly weaker.

6. I woke up a few days ago thinking "I HAVEN'T REGISTERED FOR CLASSES YET. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO IN THE FALL?!" Ah, graduation.

7. I like driving fast. The speed limit in SD is 75mph (120km/hr). This means I get really bad gas mileage, but it's SO MUCH FUN.

8. In October last year, I wore new heels to Beth's wedding. They took off my toenails. My right toenail is still causing problems; it grew back, but it's really brittle now. How annoying.

9. I don't tan. I freckle and burn.

10. I was born with a birthmark shaped like a fish on my leg but it faded as I grew and it's gone now.

Much like the United States, the Soviet Union took away from the Korean War the idea that the future of fighters lay more in outright speed rather than armament or technology. As the USSR also needed an interceptor to protect against American strategic bombers, it was decided to combine both roles in a single type. Like their American counterparts, the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau experimented with several types of designs, before settling on a “tailed delta” design: though tailless deltas were being worked on in the United States, the Soviets did not chance the new technology entirely. The first Ye-4 prototype flew in June 1955, and after a relatively smooth test program and 40 pre-production MiG-21Fs, the aircraft went into production as the MiG-21F-13 in 1957. When it was publicly shown that year, it received the NATO reporting name “Fishbed,” though it was often confused with the similar (but larger) Su-9 “Fishpot.” Russian pilots nicknamed the MiG-21 the “Balalaika” or “Pencil” for its shape.

Unlike Western fighters, where gun armament was being abandoned in favor of all-missile armaments, the first MiG-21F-13s had two 30mm cannon in the fuselage, along with two missiles on the wings, usually K-13 (NATO reporting name Atoll) infrared types. Pilots flying MiG-21F-13s reported that it had a phenomenal climb rate, perfect for an interceptor, and due to the tailed delta design, it did not suffer as much of a performance penalty in turning dogfights, though it was not as manueverable as the swept-wing MiG-17. Range was also a problem, but the MiG-21 had always been designed as a point-defense interceptor—though this was no solace to MiG-21 pilots when they had run through two of the three fuselage tanks, which would unbalance the aircraft to near uncontrollability. While an experienced pilot could actually use this instability as an advantage, the average Soviet pilot (much less the average Soviet client state pilot) found controlling the MiG-21 difficult without full tanks.

Stability problems and an inadequate radar led Mikoyan-Gurevich to supercede the MiG-21F-13 with the improved MiG-21PF in 1961. This deleted the cannon to save weight, while the fuselage was slightly redesigned to accept the TsD-30T “Spin Scan” radar, making the MiG-21 a truly all-weather interceptor. Continued instability led later production MiG-21PFs to be produced with a larger tail, which became standard on all subsequent MiG-21 variants, though both “small tail” and “big tail” MiG-21PFs served in the Soviet Air Force and client states. This also gave the MiG-21 the ability to fire radar-guided RS-2MS (AA-1 Alkali) missiles, but these were so poor that they were rarely carried.

Though India had received downgraded MiG-21FLs in 1961, which had briefly seen service in the 1964 Indo-Pakistani War, the MiG-21 would receive its baptism of fire in service with the North Vietnamese People’s Air Force, which began to get first MiG-21F-13s and later MiG-21PFs by 1965. The advanced avionics of the MiG-21 made it difficult to adapt to the tropical environment of Vietnam, and initial combat against American F-4 Phantom IIs was disappointing. As North Vietnamese pilots improved, however, so did their kill ratio. Aided significantly by the restrictive Rules of Engagement imposed on American pilots by politicians, MiG-21s could rapidly climb to altitude and wait for instruction from ground-based intercept controllers to go after American formations, though successful pilots were often given permission to “free hunt” and shoot down any Americans they found.

The MiG-21’s small size and smokeless engine made it hard to see, while its ability in the vertical meant that a Vietnamese pilot could engage and disengage at will. (American pilots who later flew captured MiG-21s stateside reported that, had the Vietnamese been better trained in vertical tactics, the abysmal kill ratio of the Vietnam War might have been worse.) It far outclassed the F-105 Thunderchief in all but outright speed, while it could turn inside of the F-4 and was faster at low level; only the US Navy’s gun-armed F-8 Crusader could match the MiG-21 in speed and manueverability.

Vietnamese—and Russian—pilots flying the MiG-21 in combat, however, deplored its lack of vision to the rear (which American fighters of the time shared) and a cluttered vision to the front: using the radar meant sticking one’s face into a scope that shut out the outside world, which would be suicidal in a dogfight. Vietnamese pilots learned to close to within a thousand feet of their target before firing. Compounding their problem was that the MiG-21PF lacked an internal gun and only had two missiles to shoot with, and the missiles themselves were far from reliable—something, ironically, shared by the main opponent of the MiG-21, the F-4. Ejection from the early MiG-21s was also problematic, since the canopy was hinged to the front and designed to form a shield around the pilot when he ejected. In practice, however, the canopy was usually driven back into the pilot at supersonic speeds with often fatal results. Many Vietnamese pilots during the Rolling Thunder phase of the war preferred the subsonic, but cannon-armed and more manueverable MiG-17.

Nonetheless, despite its limitations and those of hidebound Soviet tactics, the MiG-21 excelled in the skies of North Vietnam, achieving parity with better-trained and equipped American pilots. By 1972 and Operation Linebacker, the MiG-21 had nearly replaced the MiG-17 in service. Earlier MiG-21PFs were supplemented by MiG-21PFMs, with a better radar, side-hinging (and safer) canopy, and provision for a fuselage-mounted gunpod. American tactics had improved considerably with US Navy pilots, while the USAF had introduced the gun-equipped F-4E, which evened the odds against the MiG-21s. Nonetheless, at least three North Vietnamese pilots achieved the rank of ace, and possibly more. (One Russian pilot, Vadim Schchbakov, is now known to have flown MiG-21s during Rolling Thunder and likely scored at least six victories.) The MiG-21 was still a formidable opponent in the right hands, though it proved unsuccessful in its original task of interceptor: during mass B-52 Stratofortress raids on North Vietnam in December 1972, only one B-52 was shot down by a MiG (and this remains quite controversial), while three MiG-21s were lost to either B-52 tail guns or collision.

MiG-21PFs had seen combat elsewhere as well. In India, the superb training of Indian pilots matched well with the nimble MiG-21, giving the Indian Air Force an edge against Pakistani F-86s and Hunters. In the Middle East, it did not fare as well against Israeli Mirage IIIs, and later Neshers and F-4Es. While the MiG-21 was more manueverable than all three aircraft, again the high degree of training of Israeli pilots often made the difference, while Egyptian and Syrian pilots were comparatively poorly trained: unlike the North Vietnamese, they were not given a grace period to learn the limitations and advantages of their fighter; during the Six-Day War of 1968, MiG-21s often did not even get into the air before being strafed and bombed by Israeli Mirages. Even so, the Israelis ranked the MiG-21 as their deadliest opponent, and at least one Syrian pilot did make ace.

While the “early” MiG-21s (MiG-21F-13s, MiG-21PF/PFM) were superseded by “late” MiG-21s (MiG-21MF, MiG-21bis, described below), the basic design remained the same, and MiG-21PFs remained in service into the mid-1990s in several nations. Most survivors ended up being scrapped, expended as drones, or consigned to museums; a handful of flyable early MiG-21s remain.

This MiG-21PFM was originally built as 760507 for the Hungarian Air Force around 1965. It served with Hungary until 1988, when it was retired and offered on the open market, as the Cold War wound down. The National Museum of the Marine Corps acquired it, but lacked space to display 760507, so it was donated to the Pima Air and Space Museum in 2000. Unfortunately, Pima already had a MiG-21PF, and instead it was moved up the road a bit to be displayed at the Commemorative Air Force's Arizona Wing museum in Mesa.

Though its green and gray camouflage has faded nearly to nonexistence, 760507 is still in pretty good shape, and is displayed with the canopy open--showing the early canopy design of the MiG-21.

The front entrance of Turn Style and the "block D" mall corridor. The corrugated metal covering the slanted facades has been stripped by scavengers and vandals to the point of nonexistence. The monolithic, two-story JCPenney store lurks in the distance.

Surprisingly, in spite of the economic blight affecting both this location and the city of Harvey as a whole, brand new housing had been built just to the right of this scene.

"We should never forget that everything Adolf Hitler did in Germany was 'legal' and everything the Hungarian freedom fighters did in Hungary was 'illegal.'"

"Ordinarily, a person leaving a courtroom with a conviction behind him would wear a somber face. But I left with a smile. I knew that I was a convicted criminal, but I was proud of my crime."

"Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men."

"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom."

"Men often hate each other because they fear each other; they fear each other because they don't know each other; they don't know each other because they can not communicate; they can not communicate because they are separated."

"Anger at injustice is the political expression of Love."

"There are certain things in our nation and in the world which I am proud to be maladjusted and which I hope all men of good-will will be maladjusted until the good societies realize — I say very honestly that I never intend to become adjusted to — segregation and discrimination. I never intend to become adjusted to religious bigotry. I never intend to adjust myself to economic conditions that will take necessities from the many to give luxuries to the few. I never intend to adjust myself to the madness of militarism, to self-defeating effects of physical violence. But in a day when sputniks and explorers are dashing through outer space and guided ballistic missiles are carving highways of death through the stratosphere, no nation can win a war. It is no longer the choice between violence and nonviolence. It is either nonviolence or nonexistence…"

"The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate. So it goes. ... Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

"Many of the ugly pages of American history have been obscured and forgotten. A society is always eager to cover misdeeds with a cloak of forgetfulness, but no society can fully repress an ugly past when the ravages persist into the present. America owes a debt of justice which it has only begun to pay. If it loses the will to finish or slackens in its determination, history will recall its crimes and the country that would be great will lack the most indispensable element of greatness — justice.

We must live together as brothers or perish together as fools."

--Soamiji Maharaj has said this about his disciple Huzur maharaj pctured above.

Jaguars at Edinburgh ZooEdinburgh Zoo has two Jaguars, a male and a female.

The butterfly has a message for humankind: "You really should have stopped decades ago. The future is now out of humankind's hands. The human species hasn't had any direct experience of precisely how dangerous a planet the Earth is but the species will learn this lesson soon. This civilization which humankind has built with such pride won't survive and humankind will soon follow its global technological civilization to nonexistence. But this isn't the end. The Universe will continue along without humankind for trillions of years."

my favorite shirt for 10 years, the computer guru tee shirt, which was dangerously threadbare before I left, did not survive the thrashings of indian laundrymen who clean clothes by pulverizing them against a hard surface. the holes at the shoulders are now too big to wear in public.

I will not bring it home. rather I will send it to varanasi to have it flamed into nonexistence at the river.

The genis then said, I was made within this multiverse by the being who now knee before you. I have not the power to give things beyond this multiverse."

13/52

This week's portrait was originally shot at the time of 9/52 and was taken with this project in mind, but its upload didn't come around until now. And this one comes at a time where I'm reminded of my mortality, of my nonexistence, because of my existence. Being here five years ago, the rumors of war didn't cross my mind, but now, I'll be honest and say I am a little worried. What does this image mean in the bigger scheme of things? I will say this was taken in Park Tae-hong's "The House of Wind," one of the many art-houses in Gamcheon's Taeguk Village. The installation is dominated by mirrors that surround the room in a peninsular fashion, with green threads in between connecting the floor and the ceiling to form neon tornadoes. The effect, at least from this, is not only very vorticist, but a timely reflection of the state of things. Herein lies a doubling of doubleness. Dichotomies rebound and refract. Eternity is obscured by a division of the wind. The whirlpool that is the disintegration of (geopolitical) bodies could be as very real as an illusion, and as illusory as reality.

James Tillich was born in a college philosophy class in December of 2006. A student suggested the name "James Tillich" as an incorrect option on part of a hypothetical test question. Upon hearing the name "James Tillich" the instructor burst out laughing and said, "There never has been a James Tillich." He immediately went over to the computer and Googled an exact word search for "James Tillich." Both instructor and class were amazed when "No results found" popped up. Later that night one student searched both English and German databases. Results? Zip. Nada. Nechevo. Nothing. There was no trace of such a person ever having existed. The instructor decided, "Well if he never existed, then I'll create him." At Webshots.com he created the James Tillich album and Tillich began to pop into existence in future Google searches. The best way to find James Tillich online is to do an exact word image search for "James Tillich". OR YOU CAN SIMPLY GO TO THE ORIGINAL JAMES TILLICH HOME PAGE: entertainment.webshots.com/album/556440637FINtBb The project has grown as other individuals besides the college teacher have joined in the creation of this virtual personality.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vilhjalmur_Stefansson

Stefansson was born here at tiny Arnes in 1879 to Icelandic parents, who moved to North Dakota after losing 2 of his siblings in a period of devastating flooding.

- "Stefansson's discoveries included new land (such as Brock, Mackenzie-King, Borden, Meighen, and Lougheed Islands) and the edge of the continental shelf. His journeys and successes are among the marvels of Arctic exploration. ... In 1921, he was awarded the Founder's Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society for his explorations of the Arctic. ... [And] on May 28, 1986, the United States Postal Service issued a 22 cent postage stamp in his honour." postalmuseum.si.edu/object/npm_2008.2007.82?destination=t...

- But his history is controversial as it includes leaving the main ship (the Karluk) of 3 in an expedition that he'd organized to explore the Canadian high arctic west of Parry Archipelago when it became stuck in the ice in August/Sept. 1913. He later explained that he and 5 other expedition members left to go hunting to provide fresh meat for the crew, however members of the remaining crew suspected that he left a 'sinking ship' so to speak, anticipating that the Karluk would be carried off by moving ice, which it was. The ship drifted westward and was eventually crushed and sank on Jan. 11, 1914. Many members of the remaining crew died at different times and locations in the course of an amazing sojourn which involved what's likely the longest trek across sea-ice in history. While Stefansson knew that the crew he'd recruited and led were stuck out on the ice somewhere, rather than heading south as fast as he could to seek help, he spent 6 years exploring the high arctic and confirming the nonexistence of a frozen landmass under the ice near the north pole (which is of course very impressive) before returning to civilization. (Asshole!)

- To boot, in 1921 he organized an expedition for 4 young men, 3 Americans and 1 Canadian, to colonise Wrangel island north of Siberia, the same island that the surviving members of the crew of the Karluk had reached miraculously and where they came close to death by starvation before their rescue through the astonishing efforts of the Karluk's captain (from Nfld.) who managed to make it to the Russian mainland for help. However Stefansson's recruits in 1921 "were inexperienced and ill-equipped" and all "perished on the island or in an attempt to get help from Siberia across the frozen Chukchi sea. The only survivors were an Inuk woman, Ada Blackjack, whom the men had recruited as a seamstress in Nome, and the expedition's cat, Vic. Ada Blackjack had taught herself survival skills and cared for the last man on the island ... until he died of scurvy. She was rescued in 1923 after having spent 2 years on Wrangel island [!!]... [Stefansson's] reputation was severely tainted by this disaster and that of the Karluk." (Wikipedia)

What Really Is Hell?

WHATEVER image the word “hell” brings to your mind, hell is generally thought of as a place of punishment for sin. Concerning sin and its effect, the Bible says: “Through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.” (Romans 5:12) The Scriptures also state: “The wages sin pays is death.” (Romans 6:23) Since the punishment for sin is death, the fundamental question in determining the true nature of hell is: What happens to us when we die?

Does life of some kind, in some form, continue after death? What is hell, and what kind of people go there? Is there any hope for those in hell? The Bible gives truthful and satisfying answers to these questions.

Life After Death?

Does something inside us, like a soul or a spirit, survive the death of the body? Consider how the first man, Adam, came to have life. The Bible states: “Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life.” (Genesis 2:7) Though breathing sustained his life, putting “the breath of life” into his nostrils involved much more than simply blowing air into his lungs. It meant that God put into Adam’s lifeless body the spark of life—“the force of life,” which is active in all earthly creatures. (Genesis 6:17; 7:22) The Bible refers to this animating force as “spirit.” (James 2:26) That spirit can be compared to the electric current that activates a machine or an appliance and enables it to perform its function. Just as the current never takes on the features of the equipment it activates, the life-force does not take on any of the characteristics of the creatures it animates. It has no personality and no thinking ability.

What happens to the spirit when a person dies? Psalm 146:4 says: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish.” When a person dies, his impersonal spirit does not go on existing in another realm as a spirit creature. It “returns to the true God who gave it.” (Ecclesiastes 12:7) This means that any hope of future life for that person now rests entirely with God.

The ancient Greek philosophers Socrates and Plato held that a soul inside a person survives death and never dies. What does the Bible teach about the soul? Adam “came to be a living soul,” says Genesis 2:7. He did not receive a soul; he was a soul—a whole person. The Scriptures speak of a soul’s doing work, craving food, being kidnapped, experiencing sleeplessness, and so forth. (Leviticus 23:30; Deuteronomy 12:20; 24:7; Psalm 119:28) Yes, man himself is a soul. When a person dies, that soul dies.—Ezekiel 18:4.

What, then, is the condition of the dead? When pronouncing sentence upon Adam, Jehovah stated: “Dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:19) Where was Adam before God formed him from the dust of the ground and gave him life? Why, he simply did not exist! When he died, Adam returned to that state of complete absence of life. The condition of the dead is made clear at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, where we read: “The dead know nothing . . . In the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.” (New International Version) Scripturally, death is a state of nonexistence. The dead have no awareness, no feelings, no thoughts.

Unending Torment or Common Grave?

Since the dead have no conscious existence, hell cannot be a fiery place of torment where the wicked suffer after death. What, then, is hell? Examining what happened to Jesus after he died helps to answer that question. The Bible writer Luke recounts: “Neither was [Jesus] forsaken in Hades [hell, King James Version] nor did his flesh see corruption.” (Acts 2:31) Where was the hell to which even Jesus went? The apostle Paul wrote: “I handed on to you . . . that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, yes, that he has been raised up the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) So Jesus was in hell, the grave, but he was not abandoned there, for he was raised up, or resurrected.

Consider also the case of the righteous man Job, who suffered much. Wishing to escape his plight, he pleaded: “Who will grant me this, that thou mayest protect me in hell [Sheol], and hide me till thy wrath pass?” (Job 14:13, Douay Version) How unreasonable to think that Job desired to go to a fiery-hot place for protection! To Job, “hell” was simply the grave, where his suffering would end. The Bible hell, then, is the common grave of mankind where good people as well as bad ones go.

Hellfire—All-Consuming?

Could it be that the fire of hell is symbolic of all-consuming, or thorough, destruction? Separating fire from Hades, or hell, the Scriptures say: “Death and Hades were hurled into the lake of fire.” “The lake” mentioned here is symbolic, since death and hell (Hades) that are thrown into it cannot literally be burned. “This [lake of fire] means the second death”—death from which there is no hope of coming back to life.—Revelation 20:14.

The lake of fire has a meaning similar to that of “the fiery Gehenna [hell fire, King James Version]” that Jesus spoke of. (Matthew 5:22; Mark 9:47, 48) Gehenna occurs 12 times in the Christian Greek Scriptures, and it refers to the valley of Hinnom, outside the walls of Jerusalem. When Jesus was on earth, this valley was used as a garbage dump, “where the dead bodies of criminals, and the carcasses of animals, and every other kind of filth was cast.” (Smith’s Dictionary of the Bible) The fires were kept burning by adding sulfur to burn up the refuse. Jesus used that valley as a proper symbol of everlasting destruction.

As does Gehenna, the lake of fire symbolizes eternal destruction. Death and Hades are “hurled into” it in that they will be done away with when mankind is freed from sin and the condemnation of death. Willful, unrepentant sinners will also have their “portion” in that lake. (Revelation 21:8) They too will be annihilated forever. On the other hand, those in God’s memory who are in hell—the common grave of mankind—have a marvelous future.

Hell Emptied!

Revelation 20:13 states: “The sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hades gave up those dead in them.” Yes, the Bible hell will be emptied. As Jesus promised, “the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29) Although no longer presently existing in any form, millions of dead ones who are in Jehovah God’s memory will be resurrected, or brought back to life, in a restored earthly paradise.—Luke 23:43; Acts 24:15.

In the new world of God’s making, resurrected humans who comply with his righteous laws will never need to die again. (Isaiah 25:8) Jehovah “will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” In fact, “the former things [will] have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4) What a blessing is in store for those in hell—“the memorial tombs”! This blessing indeed is reason enough for us to take in more knowledge of Jehovah God and his Son, Jesus Christ.—John 17:3.

The Hustlers Corner NYC! 32 Years for a crime he did not commit! Introducing Rufus Rochelle pt 1 What would you say to a man who was a model prisoner behind bars for decades? A man who incurred no infractions, never got in trouble with anyone behind bars, and was an outstanding model inmate? Now what would you say if that same man spent over 30 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit? Then you would be talking about Rufus Rochelle. Rufus Rochelle is a horrible man of humble origins from Florida. A model school student he always maintained a "by the book" work ethic. When he was younger he would do small chores in the neighborhood like cutting grass, mowing lawns, painting, and any type of handyman job he could do. A family man, he was fiercely respectful of his mother when he was young. That respect led to his mother's insistence on his education. This is a mantra, he still carries with him to this day. But then again as a man in his 70s, most do. What can we learn from a man like Rufus Rochelle? What can we pass from his experience to our offspring? Rufus is a man who was convicted by public opinion, and the media, before he was sentenced to 32 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit. He was accused of being a drug dealer and selling drugs on a university campus. A crime backed by unsubstantiated evidence, and poor testimony. It never ceases to amaze me how people will convict you in a court of public opinion without any facts or evidence to back it up. Yet wrongful convictions are about as common in America as Apple pie. Wrongful convictions can happen to anyone, and all too often in America it is. Innocent people are incarcerated every day, for crimes they did not commit. Do not let yourself to the trap of the failure of the justice system. You can use these countermeasures to ensure this never happen to you or your loved ones. When an innocent person is convicted of a crime they did not commit the guilty party escapes. Imagine serving time for another person's crime and how your family would cope with the stigma of the conviction. The greatest indicators of wrongful conviction are: Poor use of scientific analysis A nonexistence physical evidence Bad use of methods not sanctioned by science Self-incriminating tactics by police False testimony prosecutorial oversight and police misconduct Forced confessions Poor preparations by the defense Laziness of the police to investigate other suspect Framing, planting of evidence and other corrupt tactics by police All of these are indicators of injustice and a corrupt justice system. To make sure that an innocent person does not get convicted all of these issues and more must be addressed. The legal process to overturn this type of corruption can be a very complex and long procedure. It involves thorough research and extensive legal leg work, not to mention the enormous amount of money you will spend. And, even with the help of a lawyer or human rights advocate they cannot make the process easier. A wrongful conviction is almost never overturned overnight. It often takes years and in most cases the innocent usually serve decades behind bars for the crime of another before it gets reversed. Talk about a horrifying scenario I would not wish to happen to anyone. Either way, if the conviction is reversed, and you're spared from decades behind bars you can seek a civil case through your attorney. This would result in compensation to you for the damages that conviction has brought you. All legal expenses, medical bills, job loss, and physical emotional trauma and more are worthy of compensation from many years in jail. All this can be used in a lawsuit against your local government and police for all the humiliation you have suffered at their hands. However, the process of civil action for compensation will definitely take time. No government will quickly pay anyone who has been wrongfully convicted. Especially if there is no pressure from the media or civil rights organizations.

This beautiful little rangefinder is considered by some to be Kodak's finest American-made camera. My example is a little bit of a project. The shutter and aperture both move freely, but the shutter won't latch into cocked position, so some (hopefully minor) surgery will be required. Also, the rangefinder patch is dim almost to the point of nonexistence. The lens looks perfect, though, so it may well be worth the effort to repair it.

Fact to Fantasy

The mind turns fact to fantasy & myth

What isn't understood is left missing.

Dry sweet sand left confused & inanimate

it hides from its place of mental mortality.

With doubts it denies tangible history

to shrink to flat telestrial nonexistence.

Though in the Celestial plain it still lives,

Now sighs, "I am not here, for I never was."

the day death gave birth, it rained, it softly rained.

While the sun kept hidden it's figure from our skin, the cold froze my hands and in the moonless night my bones trembled till i fell asleep.

How do i embrace chaos?

From where do i let myself fall?

When my own words will drown me in an inevitable path to nonexistence?

We never wanted things happen this way, but they did.

It seems to happen that once in a great while a figure of profound depth and purity blossoms within a major religion, summarizing, expanding, and living through example its most cherished aspects. Ibn al-‘Arabī, known as al-Shaykh al-akbar, “The Greatest Master”, born in Mucia, Spain in 1165, is arguably such a figure for Sufism. An extremely prolific figure, Ibn al-‘Arabī wrote hundreds of works (estimates range from 250 to over 800!), some of which are still today widely considered to be classics. His thinking ranged from the practical to the scientific, to the metaphysical and to the sublimely spiritual, and his ability to weave together and expound upon all of these aspects is unparalleled, prompting a prominent scholar of Sufism and Ibn al-Arabī’s work, William Chittick, to declare him “the most influential thinker in the second half of Islamic history” (Chittick, 1994). Running through most of his works, in some explicitly and others only implicitly, is his “most famous idea” (Chittick, 2007): wahdat al-wujūd, or “The Oneness of Being”. Trying to come to terms with this concept is essential for an understanding of Ibn al-‘Arabī’s contribution to Sufism; this essay is an attempt to briefly explore this concept and its implications for Sufism.

Ibn al-‘Arabī never explicitly used the term wahdat al-wujūd in his writings, although he did use a variety of similar terms (Chittick, 1994), such as ‘ain al-wujūd, the essence of existence (Neusser, 2005). The word wujūd is translated both as ‘being’ or ‘existence’ and as ‘finding’ or ‘to be found’. Ibn al-‘Arabī’s use is complex enough to encompass both of these meanings, and more besides. Yet the primary aspect of wujūd, for Ibn al-‘Arabī is always its absolute unity. In this sense, Ibn al-‘Arabī seems to be in agreement with the Vedic sentiments of the Upanishads, wherein the oneness of existence takes primacy over any multiplicity.

However, whereas the working out of this concept in Hinduism finds its ultimate expression in Advaita Vedanta (non-dualism), where the world and all its seeming multiplicities are taken to be the equivalent of empty illusions, Ibn al-‘Arabī takes a different tack, affirming also the many-ness of reality along with its oneness (Chittick, 1994). So in speaking of wujūd (existence), it is possible for Ibn al-‘Arabī to see it from multiple viewpoints.

The primary aspect of wujūd, as already indicated, is its absolute oneness. This can be called wujūd mutlaq, absolute existence, in contrast to the wujūd of the manifest, contingent world, which can be called wujūd mustafad, or borrowed existence. For Ibn al-‘Arabī, in the most ultimate sense, there is only the oneness of Allah, but this does not mean that the manifest multiplicity of the created things of the universe, including human beings, is an existence-less illusion. Rather, the beingness of the manifest world is, as it were, borrowed from the only true existence – that of Allah. Thus we have, from our human perspective, the tanzih nature of God, in which Allah is absolutely unlike any particular part of manifest creation. On the other hand, we have the tashbih nature of God, in which Allah is like the manifest creation.

Self-existence and reality can only be attributed to the transcendent nature of God, which is necessary and cannot not exist. Allah is without parts, and is a singularity of nondelimited perfection – there is only a single wujūd. This transcendent nature is unknowable, for to know it would be to have a knower and a known, but no such separation can exist within wujūd, understood in this higher sense.

Ibn al-‘Arabī is not simply a transcendent mystic, content to leave the manifest world behind. Rather, he appeals strongly to reason, and takes pains to clarify as best he can the way in which the manifest world relates to the unmanifest, transcendent reality of wujūd. This is a complicated but central aspect to Ibn al-‘Arabī’s thinking; in fact the bulk of his works deal less with God’s transcendence than with his manifestation.

How then, if the only thing that has any real existence to it is the unity of God, can we explain the apparent multiplicity of the created world? What must be the nature of creation such that it can actually appear to us while not either making God dissectible into separate parts or taking the ground of being out from underneath the cosmos? Ibn al-‘Arabī answers that the things of perception have no separate existence apart from the ultimate wujūd of God. They cannot exist without ‘borrowing’ their wujūd from the only possible source: God. In this way, the wujūd of the manifest world is actually more of a metaphor than a reality; separate existent entities seem to have their own wujūd but do not – they exist by the continual creating will of Allah, and have no self-existence without Allah.

The metaphor that Ibn al-‘Arabī uses to describe this situation identifies God with Light, as stated in the Koran (24:35). The only thing that exists is Light – but this light becomes reflected and refracted into an infinite number of seemingly independent rays. Just as an individual ray of light may seem obviously separate from another: “this ray is red; that one is blue”, objects appear to us to have separate existence. But in pointing out the separateness of the objects we are not seeing their reality. In fact, the objects qua objectivity have no reality, and in this sense are described as nonexistent (‘adam). The nonexistence of the objects is precisely their nature. This is like the separate ray of red or blue light, which in fact cannot have any existence apart from the original Light itself, which is in fact the only thing which has existence in the first (and last) place. Every reflected or refracted ray is another veil through which the manifestation of God appears – but none of these manifestations themselves partake of their own existence, which is the sole domain of Allah. Ibn al’Arabī does distinguish between absolute nonexistence, which is nothingness in the most direct sense of the term, and relative nonexistence, which describes all that is approached as not God – i.e. the universe and its constituents. In this way, the manifest universe can be understood as an intermediary realm between absolute existence (wujūd mutlaq) and absolute nonexistence. It is the gray area that Ibn al-‘Arabī describes as “He/not He”, as it partakes of both ultimate existence and nonexistence simultaneously.

Therefore, in one sense when we see the things of the world, we are in fact seeing only the wujūd of God. Additionally, God, who “encompasses all things in knowledge” (65:12), has ‘in mind’ as it were, even all the potential objects of the cosmos. God’s knowledge of these things is immutable, fixed, and absolute; this knowledge corresponds to the object’s entire reality. But neither the manifest nor the unmanifest plurality of objects requires God Himself to be of a plural nature – just as all of the colors of light are contained in the primal Light of God as a singular unity, upon which they depend for their entire existence.

Apart from the ultimacy of wujūd, the relative nonexistence of the manifest world occurs as a continuum, stretching away from God towards ultimate nonexistence. Each “thing” is, as described by Ibn al-‘Arabī, a “locus of manifestation” of God. Each locus of manifestation is nonexistent in itself, but contains rather the properties or effects of the object, which ultimately derive from God. Thus, when we encounter the things of the universe, we are in actuality finding only God’s wujūd. Just as a single breath may contain many words, the “Breath of the All-merciful” may give rise to many objects – but some of these objects partake of a greater part of wujūd than others.

Even though God’s breath doesn’t need to contain words, He speaks in His overflowing generosity, and all the world is created. Multiplicity is real because God speaks many words – an infinite number of them, in fact, corresponding to the infinity of manifested objects. What characteristics the objects have depends upon the words God speaks. Thus there are ninety-nine different names of God (The Merciful, The Abaser, The Guarantor, etc.) which act as intermediaries between existence and nonexistence. Things of the manifest world are formed out of the conflation of any number of these names with any amount of purity. These ninety-nine names are all aspects of the one name: Allah, which encompasses all possible names in every possible way, both manifest and non-manifest.

Within this situation, the human being also exists as a relatively non-existent entity, described by a concatenation (with relative purity) of the names. In some people and at some times, one or another of the names becomes more manifested and understood than the other names. According to Ibn al-‘Arabī, the goal of a spiritual seeker is to manifest all of the ninety-nine names with equal perfection and harmony, thus becoming “the Perfect Man”. Humans are unique among beings of the world because they have the potential to comprehend and manifest allof the names, because God taught Adam all the names (2:30); all other things (minerals, plants, animals, angels) are created within known and fixed stations. If this perfection is achieved, the human would be a manifestation of what Ibn al-‘Arabī calls the “Muhammadan Reality” (Chittick, 1994), where instead of being stationed within any one or combination of names, the human stands equally within all the names at once: the “Station of No Station”. In order to achieve this state, rather than try to manifest all the divine names, which can lead to an arrogance of assuming that “I am like God”, it is better to try to get rid of all the particularly human attributes, so that what is left is the wujūd of God alone. The path of this struggle is one of surrendering oneself to God, of submission (islam) to God.

As we can see, the concept of wahdat al-wujūd is a central aspect of Ibn al-‘Arabī’s thought. Although he did not initially conceive of the idea, Ibn al’Arabī’s portrayal and discussion of the oneness of being clarified and brought to new light one of the most foundational aspects of Islam. According to Chittick, wahdat al-wujūd “is the most famous single theoretical issue in Sufi works of the later period, especially in the area under Persian influence.” (Chittick 2007). The concept was not universally accepted however, and was attacked by scholars such as Ibn Taymiya (d. 1328 C.E.), who actually did much to associate the concept with Ibn al-‘Arabī (Chittick 2007).
