The dark concrete is just that - concrete dyed black to give the look of volcanic rock. This was done to save money, as the cost of this building went vastly over budget. No tour guide in Reykjavik will reveal the actual final cost - true story.

You want to change, the fear of failure is haunting the life you live. Not sure which direction can get you out, but as you try to pick one, the dark hands reach out, grab you and pull you back in. Held captive with no way out, waiting in the darkness for a light to show you the way.

Subtitled "SURVIVING THE CIVIL WAR IN NORTHERN ALABAMA" It arrived over Christmas anonymously given, and so far no one admits to sending it or its companion, ALABAMA SCOUNDRELS. I am not familiar with either title, but hopefully the contents will be truthful and informative even with scant literary merit. Who knows...maybe one of my kin could be included? I remember asking my grandma about some names from the past, but her reply was not what I hoped. She told me, "Let the dead rest in peace. They had enough troubles during their lifetimes."
