on way out....must have been how the patients of central state hospital felt. many of them resided there for all of their life....committed as children, becoming wards of the state...a place where the unwanted, difficult, or disabled were left to languish to a life of neglect and lack of love.

A sign (of the times?) in an alleyway in Deland, Florida. Sartre said there was "No Exit" and Simon & Garfunkle told us that "the words of the prophets were written on the subway walls and tenement halls". Perhaps we just need a place to stop amid the rush. Florida, more than most places in the U.S. has been affected by the rush of modern times.
I seem to have bit struck by one of the bugs thats going around, pretty much slept for the last two days and not feeling so good at all still.
Luckily I grabbed a few shots at the start of the week as I don't think I'll be going anywhere with my camera over the weekend feeling like this.
Something about this chalked writing caught my eye... I found it a little sinister, but maybe thats just the way my brain works....
