...could this be what it would look like?

A quiet moment caught in the soft light as a grey squirrel pauses for a snack atop a weathered wooden post. The natural backdrop of thorny brambles and wild berries nicely frames the subject, highlighting the sharp, crisp details of its fur and bushy tail. True to form, this is 100% authentic, in-camera wildlife photography—no AI generation involved.

During this fifth heatwave, we had to be resourceful to balance physical activity with keeping cool. Not to mention keeping the emergency room staff busy.

Giant coffees and ukulele, here is the recipe for happiness and grinding teeth

The little acorn-shaped flowerettes are slowly opening up, now. I've been watching this thing open up for a couple of weeks now...

Here, I've explored a fusion of macro and soft focus by precisely focusing on the heart of the flower. The shallow depth of field, created with an f/3.8 aperture, contributes to the gentle aesthetic. Importantly, this photograph is the result of traditional techniques, without any AI enhancement.

This old shot just fits my abstract mood today.

Slowly but surely, things begin returning to normal. The return of sunlight ...priceless.

Emma loves her tube toy, but I think she was a little taken aback when she saw me at the end with my big black box with an eye on front... ;)

Merry Merry everyone... :)

Grackle!

The big build up of seeds ahead of colder weather is under way! Life before death, I always say...

I was just looking for something to shoot that used that sweet morning light... ;)

As much as I shoot trees, you'd think I'd have more shots of Live Oaks. Even though they are all around, they always seem to be in someone's yard. These (there are two there) are in an open plot of land that will probably soon become a subdivision, where someone will probably pay dearly for their lot because this tree is on it.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Captured in the soft light of a tranquil garden, this mindful photograph centres on a delicate, creamy-white columbine flower, Aquilegia pubescens. Its elegant, spurred petals reach outwards, creating a sense of graceful movement against a blurred backdrop of lush green foliage and hints of deeper purple blooms. The focused clarity on the pristine white flower invites a moment of quiet appreciation for the intricate beauty found in nature. At the same time, the gentle bokeh effect fosters a serene and contemplative atmosphere. Please visit the Mindful Photography group for more information.
