( #Inktober2020 ) By Jacob Sibbern. Album "Gold & Silver" . This has been an add-on to the collection. The author doubted if it's part or not but we finally concluded it belongs to it &, anyhow was well worthy to be published.

Another save operation......(=]

I won't suffer, be broken

get tired, or wasted

Surrender to nothing

I'll give up

What I Started

And stopped it

From end to beginning

A new day is coming

And I am finally free

Run away, Run away

I'll attack

Run away, Run away

Go chase yourself

Run away, Run away

Now I'll attack

I would've kept you forever

But we had to sever

It ended for both of us

Faster than a...

kill off this thinking

It's starting to sink in

I'm losing control now

But without you I can finally see

Your promises

They look like lies

Your honesty's

Like a back that hides a knife

I promise you (promise you)

I promise you (promise you)

I am finally free

I'll attack - 30 Seconds to Mars

Listen

Full view please, it tells much more than words can do.

Location: My studio

Model: Me

Photomanipulation: Me

Why: I've been weak for too much time,but...I won't suffer anymore,i'll never let that someone still have power on me...I'll never be nobody's dog.Abby is grown and has learned to be standing with her only strengths. She will lick the wounds, and it will continue to go on for her road without someone that holds her tied up to a leash.

By the way this is NOT an emo rant!So if you have some complaints, this is NOT the right place where to write it,thanks!^__^

I'm running late this morning, but I just had to share this one!! I snapped a few yesterday afternoon and caught this without even seeing the drops...I was holding the camera at ground level without really looking underneath the shroom.

Uploaded solely for Macro Monday...:)

1:1 macro

I was peacefully strolling through the temples of Lhasa to admire the sunrise when I spotted this monk having breakfast and discreetly took this photo, offering him croissants in exchange. A precious moment.

His presentation is in the previous upload. This cute Lovebird

(sc. Agapornis Roseicollis) called Blu, although he is mainly green with apricot plumes on the head, was brought home with his partner Luce last February and the pair felt immediately at ease in our cozy large home.

Here he accidentally landed on my orchids while I was shooting the flowers in full blossom and, finding himself in front of my camera, decided to pose for me. He is a clown and this is one of his typical expressions. A good macro I think.

Interesting: zooming it X1 you reach the exact size of my lovebird, zooming twice you can admire all the lil details & see twice its real size.

Surprise! Enjoy this bonus Explore takeover! We're celebrating National Go Birding Day with some fine feathered friends

( Cool and unexpected, enjoyed the manual Explore Surprise Takeover with a special selection of birds. April 26 2025: www.flickr.com/explore/2025/04/25 . Photo explored with # 16 in the Gallery hit list ).

As long as I'm on my soapbox...

I'll never understand why, when we pay garbage pick up fees, people will spend the money on gas and time wasted to go into the countryside and dump trash. I live in poor white trash country. Is it the same where you live?

This was taken over the side of a bridge, out in the country. Every single piece of trash that you see there would have been picked up at the curb by the garbage collection co.

I wonder sometimes, if a few hundred thousand years from now, Geologists will study the strange layer of plastics in the Earth's crust that will signify the 20th and 21st century.

Happy Friday and enjoy the weekend everyone!

Gassirunde

While driving by LSU, I saw this line of bare trees and thought about stopping. Then I noticed the cloud and slammed on my brakes! This is one of those few and far between shots that come out exactly the way I imagined.

It was a good day...^+^

Wow...not only is it the day after Christmas is over, but it's a Monday, too.

How depressing...

That's who this little scene reminds me of... :)

This now defunct mexican restaurant is located next to my dentist's office, so I often wander over to take another shot or two of it's loud and colorful architecture. I ate there once, but didn't care for the loud atmosphere inside. They closed those happy looking doors last year, supposedly because of the pandemic.

...for Easter Sunday. Have a good one, everyone!

...after severe thunderstorms yesterday, along with a few tornadoes and 50 mph winds!

It's kind of interesting to see what tags Flickr automatically assigns to your uploads, and how accurate it can be, eh!

Well, I've been searching for over an hour online and have yet to find an ID for this tiny weed. It's so common here in Louisiana that I'm amazed I can't find it. The closest match I found was Texas False Dandelion, but the pictures didn't match exactly.

UPDATE: I found it!!! :)

btw...the background in the photo is from freeze-damaged Sago Palm leaves... :)

Another from the archives...sorry, people. Just not enough time lately...{=P

... morgens bei Katzdorf ....

I'm starting a new set of photos from a new (to me) Brec Park trail system. It's a newer, less developed, system of trails that is within 5 miles of my house. It will be fun to explore this more primitive system!

"As he lifted his head from a groggy sleep, he realized that he was not in Kansas anymore..."

I don't think that there is a more prolific plant in the Louisiana landscape in Spring than the prickly Pasture Thistle.

Created also for the TMI Contest "Birds" .

My family is steadily growing since last year with many parrots (cockatiels & lovebirds). Sconsy is a (possibly female) cockatiel of one month of age in a great rare cinnamon colour, only partially visible as she hasn't completed her plumage, (it will take 2 more months).

She is here gently posing in my backyard on a kaki (persimmons) tree with her full stomack just after her meal for an open-air break. She still needs handfeeding for few more days but can already fly a little, not too high so I could bring her in my garden for her official shooting in nature & natural light :-) More photos are yet to come.

She is so cute & cheerful with the other cockatiel & lovebird puppies that are just a little younger than her. She combs their plumes & holds them tight to warm them when they sleep together. Simply lovely & she is with us too, a true friend!

A nice surprise this morning. It's only an inch or so, but in southern Louisiana, that's a real event. It's a shame it didn't do this tomorrow when we're going to see some bonfires on the levee!

I shot this beautiful image to showcase the vibrant flower, Aquilegia flavescens. It features a close-up of the flower with a soft, blurred background that highlights its delicate details. The flower exhibits a mix of yellow and pink hues, adding to its visual appeal. I used a soft filter on my 50mm 1.4 lens. The art of soft photography will not appeal to everyone, in the most case it is harder to take a soft photo than a pin sharp image. I take more for what I feel than for what I see. ☺️

Every time I think I've found everything there is to photograph in my yard, I stumble across some new wonder that I'd never noticed before. This is a VERY close crop of a shot of lichen growing on our Crepe Myrtles.

The Azaleas have been blooming in between the light freezes.
