I wasn't going to walk past this car without getting a photo. The striking purple definitely deserved a picture.

Along with a church, the other main feature of a village is the pub or in this case the Inn.

This was the scenic looking Inn near the church. The Hill House had a blue plaque on it as it was a holiday favourite of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who wrote the Sherlock Holmes stories. It certainly looked like a plesant place to stay.

A stack of ornately decorated square pots, my final capture of the day from the Walled Garden. This was not however to be the end of my weekend of gardens.....

A close up shot of the top of the marker from the previous shot.

A view out over the beach which is a mixture of shingle & sand.

I keep seeing a guy flying around near the beach with just a parachute & a motor to propell him.

I managed to catch him on camera the other day, he is certainly brave or a bit foolhardy.

Strikingly marked sand leads the way down to the sea at Kessingland.

A recent shot of some flowers growing in the garden. Going further into autumn, this is one of the last flowers we will probably see this year.

The attention I was paying the classic cars was broken briefly when this guy came steaming past.

I think this was clearly a case of boys & their toys. The guy looks like he is enjoying himself greatly. I saw him a couple of times later that afternoon & each time he was tinkering with his beloved steam engine.

This shot is also in my new Planes ,Trains & Automobiles set:

I went down to Laguna Seca late last month to check out the Speed Ventures track day and Radical Sports car and EXR races. I took a bunch of photos digitally (to be posted shortly), but also brought along a new-to-me old film SLR; a Nikon F-801s. I thought this was supposed to AF with all of my Nikkor lenses, but it wouldn't work for me; so pardon some missed-focus shots; I had to do it manually. If R1 is in the image name, it was taken on Agfa Photo Vista 200; R2 was Ektar 100. Taken with one of the following lenses:

Nikon 24mm f/1.8G

Nikon 50mm f/1.8D

Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II

Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR I

Most of these could be improved in Lightroom or whatever, and I may do that eventually, but I'm posting these raw scans as-is, because that was the point of shooting the film for me, and I'm spending plenty of time in LR for the digital photos anyway. ^_^

This red plane known as G-Baby partly featured in the previous photo. I thought however it deserved a photo dedicated entirely to it.

I'm a Canon lover but one of my best friends Jim Hicks of "Davis Photography" shoots Nikon and has a fleet of three Nikon D2X camera's and enough Nikon glass to kill someone.... This camera is really nice and is a pleasure to hold and use. If you want top notch wedding/event photo's his wife and him would be the people to call

I was over hanging out tonight and ended up taking a few photos of one of his rigs, which was sitting right next to the salsa.
