The vibrance of Pride

makes one sing out loud.

Sing free and strong

while dancing in the crowd.

Inner Court of Old Quebec Seminary.

«The historical site of the Séminaire de Québec in Old Quebec includes a vast number of buildings, some of which date back to the 17th century and are witnesses of the French occupation, while the others were constructed anywhere from the 18th to the 20th century. The ensemble is made up of two groups of buildings: the Vieux-Séminaire constructed under the model of 17th century French colleges, and the second group of buildings that have been added over the years to meet the needs of Laval University, the Grand Séminaire and the Petit Séminaire, whose most important buildings are the Camille-Roy Building and the Jean-Olivier-Briand Building. The Camille-Roy Building has several pinnacles on which continuously fly the flag of the coat of arms of founder of the Séminaire de Québec, Bishop François de Laval, and the Jean-Olivier-Briand Building houses the priests’ residence and the Grand Séminaire.»

Erbitterter Kampf

The 'fighting' twigs and branches reminded me of rifles and sidearms used during the American Civil War...

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time for flickr at the moment... :(

Tools: Aperture, Silver Efex Pro 2.

Processed through Nik Silver Efex.

I just had a hankerin' to revisit my images from this great show in 2015. I was happy to get decent separation with Ohgr on this one with solid eye contact and great layers between fore, mid and background. This was made with a first gen Olympus OM-D e-M5 with the 45mm f1.8 lens - a truly portable kit.

Another in the flower shots from the big box store visit. Taken with my camera phone and tweaked in Lightroom and Nik Collection.

With the current weather here in Belgium it might be appropriate to show a sepia autumn photo.

This motorcycle was parked next to me yesterday. The shadows on the saddlebag added another texture to the leather and chrome.

The night unleashes us.

In the evening glow

we can shed the day's stress

and let loose

through our personal flow.

We can create.

We can move.

We can live in the moment,

or we can plan

for moments to come.

Whorls, loops and lines;

the creator's fingerprints

are plain to see from afar.

But many wander

through the artwork

with nary a glance around.

The sun was hitting the masts on the boats in Bronte Outer Harbour Marina in Oakville. They stood out nicely against the sultry sky.

View of Hong Kong from Victoria Peak. Very sincere thanks to Andy Ho and others who brought me up here to take pictures.

As the nikcollection from Google is now on free download, I have been experimenting to get some sharper black and whites.
