Du bist also auf der Suche nach einer kleinen Romanze, mh?
Dies ist die herzschmelzend romantische Bearbeitung eines Katers meiner Eltern.

This is the heart-melting-romantic-edit of one of my parent's cats.
(In memoriam... Unfortunately, this little fellow is no longer alive...)

Playing with my little 'cheapo' macro lens attachment for my phone camera. This was a giveaway at a trade show. I wonder what kind of shots I could take if I actually spent some money on a real macro lens.

After visiting the south unit of the TRNP with NO bison sightings, it was wonderful that we spied this fellow and his herd the next day in the north unit. Truly magnificent creatures!
I was getting set up to shoot the supermoon on Nov 14th at Bronte Beach Park in Oakville, Ontario when the clouds started rolling in.
I wasn't able to shoot the moon, but did catch the sunset... The seagull was serendipitous.
“I want to grow a flower for every time someone tells me “F*** you.” Then I’ll go back to that person and pin the flower on their lapel in a gesture of friendship. And while they are looking down on it in astonishment, I’ll bunch up my knuckles and punch them in the face.” - Jarod Kintz
The swing, the beat, the rhythm and flow;
The music lifts our pulse and our glow.
The soft humidity of the night
cushions the clash of the Zildjians
While the soft melody of stroked keys
floats above our heads.
In a dark room with low lights
with the poetry of sound flooding around us.
And the murmur of soft conversations
fill the silences between sets.

This image captures the threshold between road and rainforest at the boundary of Kampung Mayang Mawang. The curving lane becomes a visual invitation, leading beneath the welcome sign and into a landscape shaped by palms, banana trees, and densely forested hills.
The composition balances human presence with tropical abundance: a simple rural road cuts through vibrant vegetation, while the distant mountains anchor the scene in a wider sense of place. Bright sunlight, deep greens, and an open blue sky give the photograph an uplifting, cinematic quality—celebrating arrival, identity, and the quiet beauty of a village landscape.

This was my original edit using Lightroom alone, where the other two versions were based on this one. I played with this one a lot to get what I was going for, while the other versions are the result of clicking on one NIK Collection preset with no tweaking.

More cats from Istanbul...
We found this cat family outside Ortakoy Mosque. As we were leaving, the mama cat came around the corner with a couple of small fish in her mouth.
She delivered the fish to her kittens and went back for more. We think a friendly fisherman was her supplier.
What fun the kittens had with their supper!
Well, again... Those of you who are following my work will have realized instantly that this is another photo from my Rosolina archive. It was the first and only time I have been at Rosolina Mare (Rosolina by the Sea; see my What a meaningful world... for information about that peculiar location), but I have been lucky enough to have two wonderful sunrise sessions there. And apparently my archive from this location has some more suprises in store, somehow (sadly) compensating for the very small trickle of new shots.
I was exploring the wild dunes strecthing southward towards Caleri Point . This was sort of a discovery for me - a whole new world I had previously seen only through the work of several of my Flickr friends, mainly from Northern Europe.
It has been an exciting experience... The place could have been two light-years far from the nearest touristic beach - yet it was just a stroll! The sun was wrestling his way between the clouds. The world was bathed in a soft, golden light and the grasses and wild flowers were full of glittering raindrops left by a thunderstorm the evening before. As I was contemplating (and capturing) the beauty of the place, I could almost feel the goddess Eos* rising from the sea and her bare foot on the wet sand as she was dancing through the wild flowers - mainly Sea Rocket and Beach Morning Glory.
* Just for the sake of letting some of our Canonians down ;-)... Eos has nothing to do with Canon, of course: she was the Greek goddess of the dawn (Aurora for the Romans), sister of Helios ( = Apollo, the Roman god of the Sun) and Selene ( = Luna, the Roman goddess of the Moon).
I have obtained this picture by blending an exposure bracketing [-1.3/0/+1.3 EV] by luminosity masks in the Gimp (EXIF data, as usual, refer to the "normal exposure" shot), then I added some final touches with Nik Color Efex Pro 4.
Getting close to winding up this set - just two or 3 more to complete the project.

circling his breath in the cold air
like a flaming comet.
The stage is his to own
and he fills the space

This little spider seemed to think our patio furniture was a great anchor point for her web.
Before I had to destroy her hard work, I took a shot with my phone camera. Not as clear as I would have liked, but I do like the composition.
I'm sure she will rebuild and I will have an opportunity to take the shot with my good camera.
