I managed a trip out to Looe this morning to catch the sunrise, the first time I've made it out in the morning for a while. I do like this time of year you don't have to get up quite so early to see the day in!
A narrow footpath follows an ancient dry-stone wall through a sunlit valley, leading the eye toward the rolling fells beyond. Soft summer light paints the landscape in vibrant greens, while scattered trees and rugged slopes reveal the enduring character of the countryside. The scene captures a sense of quiet adventure, where centuries-old pathways continue to guide walkers through an unspoiled landscape beneath an expansive blue sky.

â–¶ The city of Avondale Estates recently removed a lock on a fence gate to Willis Park "to be more welcoming to all." The site of Willis Park was conveyed to the city by town founder George Francis Willis in 1928. This side of the park had been locked to keep out 'undesirables.' The recently formed Avondale Alliance for Racial Justice had advocated for removing the locks from the gates

The dying city...
The town is noted for its striking position on top of a plateau of friable volcanic tuff overlooking the Tiber river valley.
It is in constant danger of destruction as the edges of the plateau collapse due to erosion, leaving the buildings to crumble as their underlying support falls away

Our autumn season is quickly drawing to a close. There are more bare trees now and we had our first snowfall on the evening of Nov 8th. At the arboretum the leaves are falling faster than the park assistants can keep up. The wind wasn't much today but the leaves at times were falling like rain. This scene caught my eye with the bench in the center. There was a couple and a portraint photographer hanging around the bench prior to this shot.
A moment of magic. A man, a cello, a bridge covered with paintings, collages and graffitis .... and a musique with an absolute beauty. I wish I had more time to enjoy the gorgeous music that he played... and to take more pictures !
We had our first good snowfall of the year. After the driveway was clear, I took my camera for a walk.

This is around the back of the cathedral. Used DxO PureRAW2 to clean it up and used Silver Efex Pro 3 as a mask to mute the colours of the stonework in Photoshop. I am learning new techniques and enjoying playing around with old images that I would not normally upload.
Wildlife is protected in Yosemite National Park, humans are not. This has become the norm in the United States.
