Sadly, smoke from the British Columbia, Canada, forest fires are covering our region. We were at Tipsoo to shoot star trails and our pics were sepia colored.
We rolled into Seattle last night and were shocked that Rainier isn't even visible from Seattle now. :(

A fabulous night under Super Moon... just getting around to some of these shots. :) Tipsoo Lake, Mt. Rainier National Park.
With Howard Ryder.
Shooting alone off of a bridge at the furthest point at Denali National Park you can go without an escort. This shot was about 3 AM after shooting the Aurora Borealis (behind me at this point). It was a bit scary since it was absolutely pitch black out, but I loved the fog sneaking in and wanted to capture it. My friend and I had been shooting Aurora at the base of the mountains you see in the distance while standing in a river.

Looking into the heart of the Milky Way from Maryhill Washington in the Columbia River Gorge. This is my first attempt at a night sky panorama - used photoshop to merge 11 photos. I had barely enough coverage and next time will go for way more coverage to give more room for perspective adjustments. The structure in the foreground is a monument build in 1929 to honor the soldiers that fought in World War I. The monument is a replica of Stonehenge - the original Stonehenge was a sacrificial site and so this monument was intended to commemorate the sacrifices made during the war
This was the last ever shot that I had managed of the city of Chicago...In my opinion, the Chicago skyline is one of the most enchanting ones...really makes you want to shoot em forever and ever...
By the way, me just hitting the strides slowly...so will try and catch up with all you guys as and when possible :)
