As I started to do last year, I prefer not to make stupid "New Year Resolutions" lists and I want to focus myself in a word through the whole year.
For the New Year to come, 2013, my Word is: PATIENCE. Kinda not a patient person, so I must work very hard with myself.
And, why not, I want to add: Strength and Determination to reach my goals.
Let´s see what the New Year is bringing me :)
The picture was taken on the 1st of January 2012, this is how I started the year, still brunette.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This are two pictures blended into one - from my trip to Mexico and yes, they were taken before the day this challenge was posted, but in my defense it resembles the main reason for my resolution. Hope you all can forgive me. I used PSE 10.
This is my 2012 Resolution
1. Fall in Love (I think I am in love with the girl in the picture already)
2. Enjoy life to the Fullest (I will do everything with passion like there is no tomorrow)
3. Staying Fit and Healthy (lose weight is mandatory - "Standing tall and looking good wanna be in Hollywood")
4. Spend Less, Save More (I need to get married soon)
5. Graduate and find and interesting career in the Criminal Justice world (Graduation is May 2012, hope to get in the CJ Law Department and do some good for society and the world)
6. Learn Something Exciting (Currently I am learning Photography and will take Ceramics this semester for my Art class just because)
7. Be a better person (I think I am more than half way to achieve the hundred percent)
8. Helping Others in Their Dreams (It give me a sense of satisfaction helping others)
9. Be more spiritual and achieve inner peace with my own demons (working hard for this)
10. Spend More Time with Family (at least I will go visit them once a year and call them more often)
For Jan 5, '09's MacroMondays theme: resolutions.
Perhaps a bit cliche with the running shoes, but nonetheless, I do need to start running again.
This one is the new pair.
Tobacco free world … a distant dream but whats the harm in dreaming :-)
It had always remained my endeavor to convince as many people as I get chance to quit smoking !
2009: I will join the 0.025% of women with pilot's licenses. I am committed to make it happen, and it's time to prove women can and will do things where men dominate the field.
I can't wait!
In case you are considering how to commend it, here are a few thoughts for you.
Wear another dress on the this day. Nothing feels better compared to a little self-spoiling on an event like this.
Go for picnics alongside your family or a pleasant outing to a close by area, to start the New Year with a family excursion.
Of course, along with a lot of others, I'm back to trying to eat more healthily for the new year. I've left it until today to start as I'm back to work tomorrow and it's easier not being around the temptations still lurking at home. Along with healthier food choices is drinking more water, something I don't mind but do need to remind myself to do! It's nice sometimes to liven it up with some bubbles and a slice (I promise that is all it is! LOL!)

It's week 1 of the new year and I've finally decided to start my 52 weeks project. It almost seems like a right of passage for any new flickr member really. I've also started a new blog about it.
This picture is supposed to represent my New Year's resolution - must stop biting my nails!
2009 was “DO”, and I DID a lot (traveled America on Jet Blue’s All You Can Jet pass, went back to Europe for the first time since leaving Germany in 1995, etc.). 2010 was “EMERGE” and I emerged creatively/professionally with a new portfolio site (madebypk.com), new reel, new blog, and complete overhaul of online identity (formerly singlepixel+introversion, now pk+slackluster). I also laid the groundwork for my new goals of branching out socially, digital music production, becoming fluent in German, and positioning myself as a fine artist with wetmilk.com (coming soon).
And now…2011: “PROACTIVE, NOT REACTIVE”. Unlike my themes for the last 2 years, this year’s theme is highly internal. Toward the end of 2010 I started to realize that I am a highly reactive individual, that (largely due to my childhood as an Army brat) I have grown accustomed to continually adapting to whatever situation I’m currently in and morphing into whatever it is I think I need to be in order to assimilate/belong. Although this may sound like a useful/practical way of living, it does not necessarily lead to being truly happy, as my happiness is always contingent upon external circumstances.
So in 2011, I’ve made it my focus to look inside myself and discover who I really am, what I really want, the way I want to be…and unapologetically be myself in each and every situation I encounter throughout the year. My hope is that by the end of the year I will be quite comfortable in my own skin, that I will no longer second guess myself, that I will no longer feel guilty about pursuing happiness and my chosen direction in life, that I will move forward proactively and not allow external stimuli to adversely affect me. Here’s to 2011!

2. Eat healthier. Something I have been striving to do for the past two years. I renew it every year to keep myself on target. I totally ate the M&M covered Tiramisu and now my stomach is revolting against me.
Until I am done with them I am presenting my New Year's Resolution via pictures.
1. I will not buy new clothes for myself until I am the size I want to be. (I got that one from Fitness Magazine <3 ... it might have been what they said was the "bad" resolution, but everyone agrees with me that it is fab!)
I found this CameraBag application for iPhone and it is pretty good. You can take a picture and process it in all these different styles...like Holga or lomo or fisheye. Not something one would use on regular basis, but certainly fun. Check it out, iPhone users...

Not just look #fast on your #sportbike, and not just be a stoplight hero or touching your #kneedown in canyons, but to go genuinely fast at a #track where you can push you and your #motorcycle harder than you can ever do on the street. Turn an older sportbike into your first track bike or just tape the lights of the bike you have. Sign up for your first #trackday and get humbled by old guys on slow bikes. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there, but at the end of the season those old guys are your buds and you’re faster than you’ve ever been. #motorcycle #motonewyear #newyearresolution #Ducati #Monster #Beaverun www.instagram.com/johnmichaelflores/
Something to keep in mind as we're working on those new year, new me inspirations. Breakfast is served.

New Year's resolution: More photography, more flickr, so get use to seeing my ugly mug around more often. You may have noticed some changes to my appearance. I was a little alarmed awaking up one morning, but have gradually grown to like the change. My 'stache is bringing the sexy back!
Ooooor....not. Whichever. What, if any, are new year resolutions for you?
