Lots of newbuild shoeboxes, viewed up a patch of borderland where one day surely two dozen more shoeboxes will be crammed.

Interesting time to post up this picture because as I'm putting this one up the bingo place is being pulled down!
In October last year I interviewed this man. He is the Reverend Jonathan Campbell from Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church who made national headlines when he called for The Banks Of The Foyle Hallowe'en Festival to be cancelled saying Derry City Council's Hallowe'en carnival encourages Satanism and has brought a curse on the city.

At the time I was presenting a programme for Derry/Londonderry based radio station Drive 105.
Rev Campbell joined me in the studio where he claimed that the Banks of the Foyle Festival was directly responsible for some children receiving Psychiatric counselling.
My telephone guest human rights activist and journalist Eamonn McCann was somewhat dismissive of his claims, branding the Reverend "Barking Mad".
Some time later the Rev. Campbell made small news in local papers, this time by congratulating Derry City Council on a beautiful Christmas light display, even though the city lights are probably among the worst in Ireland and haven't really changed in the past twenty years or so.
As those with a less Christian viewpoint rally around in an attempt to raise money and secure aid for the poor people of Haiti in the aftermath of what is arguably the world's worst humanitarian disaster, the Rev. Campbell has stated that while he sympathised with the people of Haiti he now prayed that they would turn away from worshipping the devil. He said people in the devastated region should now learn from their mistakes and embrace God. In his rant, to a local Sunday paper, he claimed that devil worship and voodoo were to blame for the disaster and said that the devil has murdered the people of Haiti. The blame for the earthquake lies at his door.
This latest rant from the Reverend Campbell just strenghtens my belief that in the same way that children should not be allowed to play with matches, others should not be allowed to be exposed to religion. The above, in my opinion, is an example of what can happen when some people are allowed to interpret the bible without adult supervision.
What is it thet say Reverend?
"Too Much Religion, Not Enough Christianity!!!"

Carmet Tug Company's newbuild, Multirole Easyworker 2080 "CT Barnston", does some anchor handling and chain work at Woodside Ferry Terminal as the tide ebbs.
Local lads doing amazing work yet again!
The weather went from raining to cloudy to sunny and back to raining so on and so forth. Typical lol
You can see how much the tide drops during the series of photos. In such a short amount of time, the time drops dramatically and at such a speed as it usually does on high springs.

Magdalen College, Oxford where CS Lewis had his rooms. They were on the first floor near the middle. The two windows directly to the right of the protruding center section, above the wisteria. It was here that Lewis was converted to a belief in God (theism).
From Surprised by Joy, he writes: “You must picture me alone in that room in Magdalen, night after night, feeling, whenever my mind lifted even for a second from my work, the steady unrelenting approach of Him whom I so earnestly desired not to meet. That which I greatly feared had at last come upon me. In Trinity Term of 1929 I gave in and admitted that God was God, and knelt and prayed: perhaps that night, the most dejected and reluctant convert in all of England.”

No licence for site hoarding in evidence - and therefore illegal obstruction of pavement. Very sloppy approach to barriers during unloading of site materials. Site vehicle unattended on a housing estate with lots of children. When are these people going to read their Health and Safety Manual?
