The Sierra Vista Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee hosted their annua Bring a Vet to Lunch event at the Thunder Mountain Activity Center here Nov. 6, 2019. Guest speaker Maj. Gen. Maria Barrett, commanding general of NETCOM shared how her father's military service influenced her life choices. Veterans from different generations with service in a variety of conflicts attended. Honoring military tradition, oldest veteran Jerry Coniglio, 96, with service in WWII, and youngest Soldier Pfc. Tisha B’av 2019 —fast day for observant jews, a number of jewish organizations came together for an action at the Amazon Bookstore on 34th near 5th Ave. Approx. 200 clogged the store & the sidewalk outside, About 40 were arrested. tminsky@ix.netcom.com

Warrants representing Military Intelligence, Signal, Aviation, Field Artillery, Staff Judge Advocate, Adjutant General, Military Police, Ordnance, and Quarter Master serve across the installation.
