Sgt. Bryan Thomas, a video teleconference technician from Wiesbaden, Germany, was the top NCO after several grueling days of events in the Arizona desert.

Spc. Samuel Cameron, an information technology specialist from Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, took his place at the top after a very close competition ending just an hour before the ceremony.

Serving Soup Joumou on a table fit for royalty.

 

Soup joumou, pumpkin soup, is the traditional soup served on January 1, New Years Day, in Haitian homes. January 1 is Haitian Independence Day and eating soup joumou together with friends is how the day is celebrated.

 

Kaboucha squash (or butternut substitute) is the base with a myriad of vegetables added. Some traditions add pastas, others do not.
