Today, Lonnie serves UAA as the facilities planner in Facilities Planning & Construction. He served in the U.S. Army as an engineer, 1982-2007, enlisting as a private and retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He performed field duties as combat engineer, topographic engineer, reserve advisor, as well as performing construction management, IT management and staff engineer functions for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM).

Soldiers from NETCOM take part in the Fort Huachuca Commanders Cup 10K race this morning. The course was challenging with a dash up Heritage hill at the halfway point. The weather wanted to add in a different challenge, a temperature drop of 15 degrees from the day before and a 20-mile per hour wind made the Soldiers dig deep to cross the finish line.

Gently prodding the bushing into place on one of the black keys. My fingers are slightly too big to get into the gap. New bushings came from Archive Sound and I'm pleased with the results so far.

The NETCOM Best Warrior Competition test Signal Soldiers from around the world on the total Soldier concept. Over the course of three days, two winners will be selected to participate in the Forces Command Hedquartars Department of the Army Best Warriors Competition.
