Argent on the stairs in our house in Kitahiroshima about two months after we moved here. She was still nervous about the whole move...
Luchador Domo: "Grrrr..."
Tantor: "TOOT!"
Tarzan: "Keep that thing away! Tantor is getting nervous!"
Rumpelteazer: "Don't worry, his bark is worse than his bite."

Charlie and Bucky came along for a way overdue oil change today and were a little put off by all the new noises, but made it thru this adventure just fine.
(Bucky doesn't actually have light green dye on the one ear.)
Anyone of a nervous disposition please do not peer too closely at the screen, you have been warned lol. The first Saturday in May is World Naked Gardening Day. Today just happens to be Star Wars day today too so May the Fourth Be With You also!
I took a similar photo last year which generated a lot of interest (and laughs) so I thought I should continue the tradition. I was going to pose behind the pampas grass but sadly it's far too chilly for an outside photo so it's another Polytunnel shot. I knew the tray of "Honey Bee" Violas I bought last week would come in handy :)
My good friend fraserpaul@btinternet.com has joined in the fun too I have just been admiring his big tool ;)
You can read more about the day here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Naked_Gardening_Day
A meerkat looking incredibly nervous and guilty. I love his little canine tooth sticking out in vampire-ish fashion. Perhaps he is a secret vampire and is overcome with guilt.
I previously uploaded this, but I have doubts with my work lately so I deleted it within ten minutes of posting it.
Something has come over me... I experience a pang of disgust when I look at my work. So much so that strong urges to delete all my work engulf me, but I resist knowing that I will regret it in the future. This haunting and disturbing feeling is preventing me from creating anything because I know that I won't end up liking it.
If anyone has experienced this, could you please explain it to me? I'm lost, confused, and frustrated.
I could just imagine myself dressed like this nervously waiting to be called in for my interview not know if I will crumble or stand tall.
I suppose if I was blond I would stand more chance of getting the job! Maybe I should have worn a short skirt or a more revealing blouse? What if its a woman interviewing maybe I should have worn flats. Oh heck I want to go home.....
Doubt if I would get the job anyway as I cant spell and my grammar is rubbish. Oh well just have to find a rich man to make his wife.

I know someone who won't mind the eagles going away.
I spotted this brave little guy scampering around under the watchful eyes of some Bald Eagles. These were the only group I saw today and I didn't want to spook them so I didn't go any closer.
I did see the Woodchuck again today. Again I got very close to him. We had a nice conversation.
Sometimes we all get a little nervous, how we deal with it is what separates the winners from the losers...
Taken for the weekly theme of "Liquid" for Mr Dayglo's Sunday Night Phlow Room ... I didn't want to go for a boring river or beverage and my furtive imagination got the better of me I'm afraid... apologies to anyone who's lead a sheltered enough life to be offended.
I also think this fits quite well with the Macro Monday groups theme this week of "Pride" of which I have deprived this poor Danbo of any... I really need to start playing Macro Mondays again, I've been so lazy since finishing my Project365 last year.
Nerdy Part: Single Strobe fired through a brolly at 24mm and 1/4 power camera right. Import to LR, desat blue and aqua channels as the table is a blue colour, strong contrast curve applied, boost blacks, local adjustment brush on the apple juice to boost the yellows, export to JPG, try to explain to a 4 year old child why I'm taking this picture... failing miserably... :D
You've got me nervous to speak,
So I just won't say anything at all,
I've got an urge to release,
And you keep tellin' me to hold on.
This is probably my most bokehlicious shot ever... bokeh overload in truth. Certainly shows quite clearly the narrow plane of focus at the F2.8 aperture.

It's half an hour after the camp gates had opened for the day and we're driving slowly along the Nossob riverbed, scanning the veld and hoping to find a tardy nocturnal creature or two before they disappear down their dens or go into hiding. Approaching Leeuwdril we notice a brown hyaena at the waterhole. They're skittish, elusive, nocturnal scavengers. Already there is another vehicle in attendance. We know it from previous sightings and know the occupants are avid photographers, so we crawl closer while the hyaena looks around nervously. It does not take flight, but we dare not move too close or change position for shots from another angle lest it takes to its heels. Finally, our first brown hyaena captures in more than ten years of visiting the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park as "photographers".
A portrait of the same hyaena here.

i went to LACMA today (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) wow. so amazing. I JUST missed their vogue portrait exhibit opening on the 26th :[ Mainly the reason I went! But I am definitely going back to see it. forgot my camera....
The Mallards have all fled, the Swans are being very quiet and the Bald Eagles seemed to almost trying to get them to panic and take off. Swans are very slow on the take off and would be easy prey and a big meal.
Driving in the middle of nowhere, miles from a service station and with no cell phone coverage, I noticed one of my car's warning lights click on. So I pulled to the roadside to check the owner's manual. Satisfied my car wasn't about to break down, I buttoned up the manual and placed it back in the glove box.
Looking back to the road, I noticed three little deer faces peering at me through the windshield. They warily retreated to the brush by the road when I reached for my camera, but I was able to get a couple shots before they ran off entirely. There were actually five total.
As the pack of wild turtles kept advancing, Harold wondered if it might be prudent to find another log elsewhere.

172002 approaches the grey world of Widney Manor with the 2K27, the 12.09 Dorridge to Kidderminster service.
During this miserable period typically we look out across a deserted station as an empty train approaches, the tape stops us from sitting and a social distancing poster smugly reminds us (should we have forgotten) of our duty.

I was closer than usual to the feeder, but this jay really wanted a peanut. She was jumping, and flitting this way and that. But she got her peanut. lol

Virginia Rail - Found this guy in the marsh this morning. I have only seen one of these three times. They are hard to photograph because they never stay still for more then a half a second. Constantly moving like a chicken. They can sure run fast too!
