because there was another boar chasing him. The two had a surprise meeting, neither was aware of the other until they had visuals on each other.
The larger boar had been fishing in his favorite spot when this younger boar approached but the younger guy was quickly chased off and didn't go back.
It was amazing watching how fast this guy was moving.
Tim, Dana and I had been watching the situation unfold from our spot on the other side of the river and were almost expecting to see a physical confrontation but in actuality, we were glad things didn't go that way.
Bears don't go looking for fights. The last thing a bear wants to be in the wild is injured. That can sometimes end in a slow death, or maybe a quick one. But they don't want to do anything that makes them vulnerable so most of the time, they will avoid a physical altercation.
The motion blur in this is from in the camera. I didn't fake it up so to speak. My shutter speed was on the slow side (as you can see from my exif data).
Neither here, nor there - we watch the water rise and fall.

I'm stampolina and I love to take photos of stamps. Thanks for visiting this pages on flickr.
I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!
thx, stampolina
For the case you wanna send also stamps - it is possible. (...I'm pretty sure you'll see these stamps on this photostream on flickr :) thx!

Please put me to bed
And turn down the light
Fold out your hands
Give me a sign
Hold down your lies
Lay down next to me
Don't listen when I scream
Bury your doubts and fall asleep
Find out:
I was just a bad dream
Let the bed sheet
Soak up my tears
And watch the only way out disappear
Don't tell me why
Kiss me goodbye

Neither fog not mist, both and visibly coming in from the direction of the port. Not a great day for outside photos, but I had to try of at least one.

There is neither rhyme nor reason for the collection of photos here. I was trying to learn how to use a collage generator online; these were the photos I found in the order I came across them in my computer files. Photos are labeled from top to bottom. Photos 1 and 2 are in the center column. Photos 3 to 6 are in the left column and photos 7 to 10 are in the right column.
Here is the URL for the collage program that Kay Harpa used:

► █░▓ NO BIKES NEITHER BOATS HERE (so far). Very few people. Just ducks and coots. Trying to get to the harbour over bike and pedestrian paths as much as possible in order to evade the already insignificant village traffic, I ran across this serene park I did not know existed. An elderly lady walking two small dogs around explained to me that the whole aria was taken down two years ago in order to build a park on it. I was taken aback. So. There are still decision-making people not on power trip or profit lust.
This pond is young and probably 'virgin', i.e. there are still no discarded bikes on the bottom of it.
But remember: behind the every successful Dutchman there is a discarded bike. Or two. Or many more.
The village in itself is quite serene. This park is artificial "nature" but a persuasive one. It takes an educated architect to create it like this to just add up to the all-round quiet. I am impressed. Some large cities can't (or woudn't) afford this much.
Up until July 18th I had the longest break in publishing images and following the fellow uploads on Flickr since years. Hope that this less enthusiastic, rather sedentary period in my life is now over. I used it partly to study new software and made my first use of it. Not much, but something I had been postponing for years. A small gain but not a negligible one. My photography was not completely put aside, but I never got it to the editing stage. What I took, has yet to be selected and edited. Many boats taken just before sunset still wait to be denoised! Plus some interesting people, those few that grant me their trust and permission to publish.
THE BACKGROUND - In the morning of July 14th I drove to Sleeuwijk, the village across the river, after a long time. Had a good hour available to walk around. Started my hike from the neighbourhood edge next to A27, a few kilometres away and searched for the pathways through the village in order to avoid the local traffic. Without internet, I still made it! But when I reached the river shore at the Yacht and ferry harbour, the first hour had expired. I decided to press on and found a pathway among the blackberries shrubbery along the shore line. It was a gift from above. Beautiful small beaches, lots of ripe, perfectly clean blackberries, mighty ships sailing by, clean water, lazy peaceful cattle enjoying the shade of large trees at noon, perfect weather with some nice water and background lighting... For the first time in more than three decades that I live here have I hiked along the patch of shoreline and have almost reached the big Merwede bridge. Found the way back through the woods and reached the village starting point just short of 2,5 hours of hiking, berry picking and photographing. What a day! And a good night's sleep after it.

This is a sooc jpeg edited in Photos 10.0, exported as 16-bit tiff so that you can enjoy the original Panasonic's jpeg quality ;) Well, I could have exported it to *.heic format, it would have taken 25 times less space on my precious SSD. From an obituary of the auther:
"Unique among the escapers of the Second World War, Richard Pape, author of Boldness Be My Friend (1953), was neither an officer nor a gentleman. He was, when illegitimacy rankled, in every sense a right bastard.
A red-headed Yorkshireman, his frame bulged with unofficer-like qualities; he was brutally drunk, murderous, treacherous and sly, and his courage and endurance were unbelievable until one read the citation for his Military Medal. He was also quite fun..."

PADDY: *Reading.* "And that made her very cross, for she was a very bad-tempered little girl."

*Big little bear scream.*
JAGO: *Gasps.* "That sounded like a scream!"
DAISY-MAUD: *Gasps and looks concerned.* "Yes, a big little bear scream!"
PADDY: *Gasps and looks alarmed.* "Oh my!" *Puts paw to mouth.* "That isn't just any big little bear scream, Jago and Daisy-Maud!"
JAGO and DAISY-MAUD: "It isn't, Paddy?"
SCOUT: "Paddy! Jago! Daisy-Maud! What are you doing?"
JAGO: "Oh Scout! You're back!"
DAISY-MAUD: "Hullo Scout! Welcome home from Mummy Marian's!"
PADDY: "I am just reading a faerie tale to Jago and Daisy-Maud." *Blushes and sinks slightly behind the book.*
SCOUT: “But you can’t, Paddy!” *Stamps paw.* "That is story is pr... pro... prop..."
PADDY: “Propaganda, Scout?” *Helpful.*
SCOUT: "It's about that awful no-good-break-and-enter-home-wrecker Goldilocks!” *Stamps paw.* “She was naughty!” *Nods head emphatically.* "You can't read that!"
DAISY-MAUD: “Whyever not, Scout?” *Concerned.*
JAGO: “We asked Paddy to read us a faerie tale, Scout.” *Sad.* "We like the story, even if you don't."
PADDY: “And they aren’t lies, Scout. The faerie tale readily admits that she goes into the Three Bear’s house without asking, eats porridge that isn’t hers, sits in chairs that aren’t hers…”
SCOUT: “And breaks them with her fat bu…”
PADDY: “Scout!” *Looks seriously at Scout.* “And she sleeps in beds that aren’t hers either. I don’t see how that is propaganda, Scout.”
SCOUT: “The story says that she is a nice girl, but she isn’t! She was naughty!” *Stamps paw.*
DAISY-MAUD: "But didn't you just hear Paddy read the part where it says that Goldilocks was a very bad tempered little girl, Scout?"
SCOUT: "No! I was too busy trying to recover from the fact that that story about that no-good-break-and-enter-home-wrecker Goldilocks was being read in our house! I go away for a few days to help mijn beste vriend Peter at Mummy Marian's house and look what I come back to! Paddy reading to you about that no-good-break-and-enter-home-wrecker Goldilocks!" *Stamps paw again.* "It's disgraceful! Thank goodness I came back when I did. It's time to put things right and read another faerie tale!" *Adamant.*
DAISY-MAUD: "But we like the story of Goldilocks, Scout."
JAGO: "Especially the part where she gets her comeuppance and has to flee out the window after being awoken by the Little Wee Bear whose cry was so sharp and shrill."
DAISY-MAUD: "Oh yes Jago! That is the best part, because then the Three Bears can go back to living happily ever after."
SCOUT: “Well!” *Indignant.* “There is no accounting for taste! You shouldn't be reading about that no-good-break-and-enter-home-wrecker Goldilocks and the violent and destructive home invasion she wreaks upon three innocent, well mannered, kind and tidy bears! You should be reading a nice, wholesome faerie tale, like Little Red Riding Hood.” *Nods seriously.*
My bears Paddy and Scout have made very good friends with two bears in Holland called Peter and Oleg www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/galleries/721577154558... and www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/galleries/721577233464... and their Mummy Marian Kloon (on and off) . Peter and Scout are very similar and have become best friends. Peter was playing in Mummy Marian's garden when he met Little Red Riding Hood who has lost her wolf and is looking for a new one. You can see it here: www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/54711528570/in/datepos... or in the first comment below. Knowing his best friend Scout is not only full of good ideas, but also has a great love for Little Red Riding Hood, Peter invited his best friend to come and join him and Little Red Riding Hood. You can see it here: www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/54712439977/in/photost... or in the first comment below. Scout was very honoured to meet Little Red Riding Hood, and she him, as you can see here: www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/54718469875/in/photost... or in the first comment below. Peter and Scout then worked through potential candidates for a new wolf of Little Red Riding Hood, as you can see here: www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/54726359985/in/photost... or in the first comment below. Then Little Red Riding Hood made her choice, which was to pick all three, as you can see here: www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/54730780816/in/datepos... or in the first comment below.
Paddy Jago and Daisy-Mud are taking tea from Jago's Christmas present from Father Christmas and the Christmas Bear a few years ago: a beautiful 1930s Goldilocks and the Three Bears tea set. It was made by an unknown maker in Stoke-on-Trent. Not all the set is being used today. It features beautiful, brightly coloured transfers of different parts of the faerie tale on each piece.
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
Jago was a gift from a dear friend in England. He is made of English mohair with suede paw pads and glass eyes. He is a gentle bear, kind and patient who carries an air of calm about him. He is already fitting in with everyone else very nicely.
Daisy Maud is Jago's little sister and was made by the same friend in England who made him. She is made of German mohair with floral fabric cotton paw pads that match her pretty sunhat, and glass eyes. A sweet and loving little girl bear, she is happy to be reunited with her big brother, Jago, and enjoys being spoiled by her Daddy.
Neither a lofty degree of intelligence nor imagination, nor both together, go to the making of genius. Love, love, love, that is the soul of genius.

Neither Not No Thing, nor Nothing.
Othing is the awe the O of open awe of in taking that seems other than any thing we identify at the O times.
Here the light dances and electrical connections are a glow.
Othing a moment without material concern and one that evades definition as it just is as it was and will be without being any thing at all.

We have been waiting for Reintjedevos at the Kröller-Müller Museum looking at the wonderful Mondrian painting (very much our color scheme), We heard that the World Cup was in over time, so we guess that is why she is late. (This place has been a morgue all day), Wait, look, she has arrived and that clever fox managed to find a way to bring La Vaca and Plácido into the Museum. She is really dressed in her Sunday best, So good to meet you Ms. Fox! Sorry about the World Cup.
Neither a parc nor sculpture are of great importance but I find this detail, almost hidden on the ground level, interesting. It reminds me of my ancient life and puppet animated films.

Listen to this hymn of God’s word, "Notions and Imagination Will Never Help You Know God", to learn how to put down your notions and imagination toward God.
Almighty God says, “Knowing God is not reliant on experience or imagination, and therefore you must never impose your experience or imagination on God; no matter how rich your experience and imagination may be, they are still limited. What is more, your imagination does not correspond to facts, and much less to the truth, and it is incompatible with God’s true disposition and substance. You will never succeed if you rely on your imagination to understand God’s substance. The only path is this: Accept all that comes from God, then gradually experience and understand it. There will be a day when God will enlighten you to truly understand and know Him because of your cooperation and because of your hunger and thirst for the truth. ” from “God Himself, the Unique II God’s Righteous Disposition” in The Word Appears in the Flesh

What says spring more than blossoming gardens and roads destroyed by winter snow? I decided to combine the two as neither seemed to work on their own!
Have your heard of those? Well, neither had I until we were designing the cast stone fireplace for our little storybook style house. The Lawson's never do things by halves and having waited a longtime for a fireplace, we decided it needed all of the parts. Someday I'll post an image of the whole fireplace.
I did however pride myself in taking a more frugal approach to decorating the mantle having found the giant candlesticks at a garage sale for 5 bucks each...:-))

Neither wren nor tit, this enigmatic bird has no known relatives in the New World. It is currently placed with the parrotbills of Asia. El Moro.
Neither graceful nor beautiful, warthogs are, however, remarkable animals. They are the only pigs able to live in areas without water for several months of the year. Warthogs are found in most of Africa south of the Sahara and are widely distributed in East Africa. They are the only pigs able to live in areas without water for several months of the year. By tolerating a higher-than-normal body temperature, the warthog is perhaps able to conserve moisture inside its body that might otherwise be used for cooling. The face is fairly flat and the snout elongated. Eyes set high on the head enables the warthog to keep a lookout for predators even when it lowers its head to feed on short grass. The warthog's large tusks are unusual: The two upper ones emerge from the sides of the snout to form a semicircle; the lower tusks at the base of the uppers are worn to a sharp cutting edge.

Devil Doll - Bourbon in Your Eyes

Call me angel and take my hand
Wishing you could be my man
But I can tell if its truth or lies
When you've got bourbon in your eyes
Tell me something that I don't know
Then I dare you to prove it so
I'd ask you to try this on for size
But you've got bourbon in your eyes
Your so Mmm...
I find myself showing up at your front door
Although I can't come in i keep coming back for more
And when you call me baby it feels just like a line
And everytime you smile when you look into my eyes
You don't have the guts to love me like you wish you could
I'm gonna find someone to make me feel the way I should
Run your fingers through my hair
I want you to touch me there
But I will not open up my thighs
When you've got bourbon in your eyes
You're the one that makes me smile
And I know you'd make it worth my while
But she's waiting for you and I think she cries
When you've got bourbon in your eyes
Your so Mmm...
I find myself showing up at your front door
Although I can't come in I keep coming back for more
And when you call me baby it feels just like a line
And everytime you smile when you look into my eyes
You don't have the guts to love me like you wish you could
I'm gonna find someone to make me feel the way I should
You're so sweet talking
You're so fire walking
I know I shouldn't but I want some
Little boy you're lost
I see you looking around
But I think that you know more than you let on
I must leave you cause I know your kind
You'd wake me up just to say goodbye
And I know that's not a tear in your eye
Cause boys don't cry and neither do I
I love your laugh but I'll never stay
So I guess I'll be on my way
At least I gave it a try but you had bourbon in your eyes
