The East Van sign at night - with the blackened out starless sky as negative space focusing the viewer on the sign.
Went down to robin hoods bay through the summer and i've finally found a way i can use a lot of my old images
For this image i used my usual process but decided to bring more of the original image back into the photo with the negative process still there in the background

Ignore the exif data that claims this was taken with a 5d. This was taken with a mamiya 645 pro tl w/80mm f/2.8 lens on tri-x 400 b&w film. Then developed with diafine. After the negatives dried, I put them on a lighttable and photographed them with the 5d for cropping and inverting. (Sue me, the 5d is better than the scanner I have, at the moment : )

Some old scanned negatives from a trip to South America in 2003. A bit of processing and they've come out quite nicely I think.
