An Alternate View to the Heritage Light Display

Class Project. 61 x 46 Centimeters. Black India Ink. A study in negative space and form. Using India Ink I had to draw the spaces surrounding the objects, while the objects themselves would remain white.

used an iPhone app that allows you to view a negative as a positive image.

this is a shot of the light bouncing from a small lamp on the wall - in reverse

By now you're probably thinking I could have just wiped that flaky white stuff off without the coke, but I actually had a similar problem years ago and it's insanely hard to just chip it off dry.

I was struck how the shapes of the log, once the colors were switched, became more like flying geese, otters, and other flowing animals.

heres the neg of the 110 film ..some were too dark for me to take a foto of...i just put this on the white bit of my wardrobe !!!

as you can see its the ghost of miffy!! just look at miffys eyes!!!!

Gotta love those negative spaces.
