I have revisited some of my old archives to see what I could do to give them a new perspective and flare. A different feel. Converting to a Negative then a small bit of touch-up in CS2, I personally like how they came out. What do you think?
I’ve been producing some images for another band recently. This is Negative Pegasus from Brighton. More to come from them really soon.
We were trying to get something psychedelic as well as maintaining a clinical edge. I think these look pretty cool so hopefully a job done, ay?
Many thanks to Garage Studio‘s for their time and space.
Japanese Stroll Gardens. Late western sun. De-saturated pic and added negative filter. Added focus filter to soften edges.

If I had thought more about this shot and made it to be artistic, I would have fixed the million things you would. It was for a school project (theology class) made to represent "negative spiritual poverty" as defined by John Kavanaugh. Look him up. In particular, pay attention to his writings on "positive poverty"--I found those the most interesting.

1 photograph that foregrounds negative space - or at least allows the negative space to compete with the visual weight of the positive space.
Ignore the exif data that claims this was taken with a 5d. This was taken with a mamiya 645 pro tl w/80mm f/2.8 lens on tri-x 400 b&w film. Then developed with diafine. After the negatives dried, I put them on a lighttable and photographed them with the 5d for cropping and inverting. (Sue me, the 5d is better than the scanner I have, at the moment : )
A photograph of a tree against blue sky in South Glenmore Park, Calgary. The sky is used as negative space in this composition.
Class Project. 61 x 46 Centimeters. Black India Ink. A study in negative space and form. Using India Ink I had to draw the spaces surrounding the objects, while the objects themselves would remain white.
