Out of focus self-portrait with negative color visual effect... and oversized metal goggles. The ladies love the oversized metal goggles
This flickr account was set up to store the negatives I buy at ebay, antique shops, flea markets, etc. I scan or photograph the negatives, process them, and then post them here. I enjoy discovering and revealing these images that otherwise might be lost.
Negative Sandwich

Quarter 1
Black and White image on photo paper
4"x6"
The intent of this piece was to experiment with negative sandwich techniques. Experimenting with the negative sandwich was apart of an alternative processing project.
Experimenting with Corel. 3 image HDR converted into negative. Went to Tempe Towne Lake today for the Dragon Boat Races.
Looking across the lake to the Hayden Ferry Condo/Corport complex.
This was a digital photograph of a nude, that I pixelated by changing the dpi to 3, I then made a contact print from the image with light sensitive photo paper in the dark room in order to gain the crystal quality in the print.
This is a rig I made to photograph my old 35mm negatives. It does some weird stuff. Interesting things start to happen using different light sources and backgrounds. Turning it at an angle creates a tilt shift kind of effect.
A photo and manipulation from quite some time ago. Just stumbled across it again. I quite like it =P
At Woodscreek Park. I never learned how to develop film, but I remember the days of negatives. I could never imagine going back to using a film camera. I so prefer digital. You can't beat it. It's cost effective and environmentally friendly.

This is from a series of old negatives found in an envelope in a box of photographs at a junk store in Dewey, Oklahoma. Some seem related, others do not. Most are damaged in some way and/or poorly executed in the camera and in the dark room. Many are over- exposed.
To try to make some sense of the group, all were scanned so that obscure details might be revealed.
