Ik neem een tijdje wat afstand van Flickr, in de hoop dat het binnenkort weer wat vlotter werkt! Momenteel al enkele weken te traag om werkbaar te zijn! Tot later.
For a while, I'm taking some distance from Flickr, hoping it will work a bit smoother again soon! Too slow to be workable for several weeks now! See you later.
Thanks for visit, comments and awards

The path gets lost in the jungle. The langurs love this part of the forest, especially the small leaves of the Neem Tree in the left background. They are said to be effective against hepatitis, ulcers, leprosy, hives, thyroid diseases and digestive disorders, and allegedly even help with diabetes mellitus and cancer, as well as lowering cholesterol levels.
Neem leaf, also known as ‘neem ke patte‘ in Hindi is an essential ingredient in many Ayurveda medicines.

Neem, un bellissimo cane lupo cecoslovacco, è (era, + 07.2023) la mascotte del rifugio della Cicerana, tra Pescasseroli e Lecce dei Marsi
Stumbled upon a flock 5-6 of these beautiful small birds around some trees. They were all busy looking for insects - like tree spiders, grubs and small insects on the bark. Some found few things, others continued to explore the vast set of trees around the area.
These are resident birds in the subcontinent found throughout the year. They are better seen in winters when the food becomes abundant after rainfall and due to the moisture in the air. In summers, they do shift to places with a bit of water.
Thanks in advance for your views and feedback.
This Neem tree (Botanical name Azadirachta indica) died many years ago but still standing high.
They tried to burn it down but it didn’t catch fire 🤔! So, they decided to leave it. (There’s an old myth going around here, that some of the trees by the river are night homes for demons).
I went to a favorite agricultural supply store today for neem oil (to treat an insect problem on flowers), and was happy to find resident cat Max resting in an empty birdbath. He always finds the comfiest spots, like those hay bags behind him.
The powder applied to the face is neem powder, pronounced "Thanaka," a symbol of Burmese traditional customs.
Myanmar locals cut the trunk of the neem tree into sections and grind it into neem powder, which not only has a cooling and blood-dissolving effect but also provides sun protection.

When the weather is warm enough I take my lovebird with me in a special backpack. The little fox listened very interested when she made a sound.

Neem (Azadirachta indica) is a tree in the mahogany family. In India, the tree is variously known as "Divine Tree," "Heal All," "Nature's Drugstore," "Village Pharmacy" and "Panacea for all diseases."
* All parts of the tree (seeds, leaves, flowers and bark) are used for preparing many different medical preparations.
* Neem oil is used for preparing cosmetics (soap, shampoo, balms and creams), and is useful for skin care such as acne treatment, and keeping skin elasticity.
* Besides its use in traditional Indian medicine the neem tree is of great importance for its anti-desertification properties and possibly as a good carbon dioxide sink.
* Practictioners of traditional Indian medicine recommend that patients suffering from chicken pox sleep on neem leaves.
* Neem gum is used as a bulking agent and for the preparation of special purpose food (those for diabetics).
* Aqueous extracts of neem leaves have demonstrated significant antidiabetic potential.
* Traditionally, teeth cleaning was conducted by the chewing of slender neem branches. Neem twiggs are still collected and sold in markets for this use, and one often sees youngsters in the streets chewing on neem twiggs.
