These are a few of the sticker sheets from my new batch of EPHEMERALdated stickers.
They will be cut into their individual monthly installment stickers - with their months of installing shown so that consecutive sequences of them across time can be installed at various locations - exploring and revealing their deterioration across time.
Here I have pasted further elements on the fronts of the sticker sheets - increasing the number of permutations of deterioration: using different media, different papers with differing degrees of colour and dye fastness, and different sorts of glues.
They will be coated on the back with my water-activated glue and cut in to their individual stickers.
It will be interesting to watch the evolution of the sticker sheet at bottom right: it incorporates the magenta paper I have previously used for my Whale Tails. It is a dye which, being reddish in hue, is not particularly colour fast, but which also tends to leach out of the paper. This will contrast with the green paper - far more stable and colour fast.
Working with children from the Clinton Middle School on two occasions artist Justin Berry tries to find out exactly how much we can learn about a work of art simply by looking at it and opening our eyes. To initiate the project he took children from the school on a field trip to some of the many contemporary art galleries present in their own neighborhood of Chelsea. Looking at shows by artists such as Yayoi Kusama they saw the way that simple elements could provoke powerful reactions in the appropriate context. Based on drawings they made Berry generated a virtual exhibit for his Waymaker Gallery project, using the same software used to produce movies such as Shrek and Toy Story.
Coming back a semester later to work with a new batch of students, Berry asked the children to imagine what they saw as appropriate narratives to describe the show. Giving them books to fill with their stories and videotaping some of their accounts, Berry will combine the text and video on the website of his gallery to display a show where the works are presented not with narratives that explain the images, but with the narratives that the images have inspired.
Justin Berry has created The Waymaker Gallery as a vehicle for reimagining what is possible. The Waymaker Gallery is an imaginary art space that is not bound by the laws of physics or budgetary concerns. A container reshapes whatever it contains; this is true for both art and a glass of water. The Waymaker Gallery is a venue that conforms to the art it exhibits rather than the other way around, adapting to the artist's practice rather than forcing the artist to adapt. Over time the gallery is reshaped even as it is reimagined.
Here is a new batch of double exposures. I was cleaning out my RAW files a while back and figured that I might as well batch process them all before I deleted them forever. There were a few worth posting. Makes me want to get out my beamsplitter glass.

Last night while brewing up a new batch, I decided to pop open a bottle of Spiced Winter Ale, which I started a little over a month ago. I hadn't tasted any of it since bottling it two weeks ago.

Bia Hoi is a fresh beer made each day that sells for around twenty
cents per glass. It is delivered to the sidewalk establishments that
sell it out of big barrels all day. It is served by siphoning off
ice cold glasses out of the barrel to the (all male) patrons who drink
it while sitting on plastic childrens stools smoking, eating peanuts,
and generally seeming to be care free/unemployed/slightly surly.
A few breweries in central and north Vietnam release a new batch each day, but it
doesn't really travel well. It must be consumed on the day it is released, as it has no additives or preservatives and isn't in sealed, pressurized containers. It is light, crisp, and delicious with medium carbonation and about 4.5% alcohol.
New batch of muffins baked last night. And a new style of photography tried. I was soo amazed by the mug cakes until I read about the nutrients loss when microwaving. It's interesting how different the recipes for microwave and regular oven are. The positive side is that the paper cup does not stick to the muffin when baked in the oven

Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today officially launched the IAI Attachment Programme, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat by welcoming a new batch of Attachment Officers (AOs) from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Viet Nam (CLMV), and Timor-Leste, for the first time. Supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), the programme aims to enhance the capacity of government officials from CLMV and Timor-Leste by immersing them in the work of the ASEAN Secretariat.
This year marked a historic milestone with the participation of Timor-Leste for the first time, reflecting ASEAN’s commitment to supporting Timor-Leste’s capacity-building as it prepares for full ASEAN membership.
In his opening remarks, SG Dr. Kao highlighted the importance of the IAI Attachment Programme in strengthening institutional capacities and fostering regional integration. He emphasised that the knowledge and experiences gained through this programme will enable AOs to contribute more effectively to their respective countries. He further expressed his appreciation to the Government of Japan for its long-standing support in narrowing development gaps within ASEAN.
Japan’s Ambassador to ASEAN, H.E. Ambassador Kiya Masahiko, reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to ASEAN’s integration efforts. He underscored the critical role of human resource development in enhancing ASEAN’s competitiveness and sustainability, reaffirming Japan’s support for inclusive development and capacity building initiatives.
The one-year IAI Attachment Programme provides AOs with first-hand experience in various divisions under the ASEAN Political-Security Community Department, ASEAN Economic Community Department, and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Department, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of ASEAN processes, policies, and cooperation mechanisms. The initiative is part of the broader IAI Work Plan IV (2021-2025), which seeks to support ASEAN’s goal to narrow the development gaps in the region.
