A Demonstration Skoda parked next to a Gwent Police Ford on the site of the former Monmouthshire County Council Headquarters. Nine and a half thousand police from all over the UK ensured that the NATO Summit passed off smoothly.

Dyfed-Powys Police vehicles parked on the site of the former Monmouthshire County Council Headquarters, in the dispersal period following the NATO Summit. The left vehicle is marked up as a Mobile Police Station. To the left of that, an unmarked prisoner transport vehicle. Nine and a half thousand police from all over the UK ensured the event passed off smoothly.

A fairly poignant photograph; a Greater Manchester Police Land Rover in front of Headquarters Gwent Police. Behind it, the Gwent Police flag is at half mast for one of our Community Support Officers, tragically killed in a road traffic collision; two years ago, the same flag was at half mast to honour constables Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes of the Greater Manchester Police, murdered in the line of duty.
GMP are part of the 9000 strong contingent drafted in to police the NATO Summit 4-5 September in Newport.
