NATO kończy szczyt w Warszawie jako silniejsza organizacja. To było przełomowe spotkanie głów państw i szefów rządów. Zostały podjęte decyzje polityczne i wojskowe, które realnie wzmacniają wszystkie flanki Sojuszu. Samitā, kurš notiek divas dienas, aizsardzības nozares vadība piedalās darba sesijās, kurās tiek meklēti risinājumi NATO spējai pielāgoties pastāvošajai drošības videi, tostarp lemts par daudznacionālu bataljona līmeņa kaujas grupu nosūtīšanu uz Baltijas valstīm un Poliju. Tāpat aizsardzības nozares vadība piedalās darba sesijā, kurās diskutē par alianses iesaisti apmācības misijā "Resolute Support" Afganistānā un eiroatlantiskās sadarbības stiprināšanu.
