Montrose bird sanctuary, Lincoln Park, Chicago IL USA
Taken on The Big Warbler Day at Montrose. Another of the many different birds that were waiting in the oak tree for their turn at the watering hole.
Nashville is a nice town, and it has a lot of similarities to Austin in my opinion. Both are music cities, have great skylines, sit next to a river and have a "comfy feel" to them. I was in Nashville last week for 1 night and was able to get out with my trusty Nikon for a little while after hours. I knew I wanted to get this shot, as I took a similar one about 2 years ago but never posted it. I walked around their downtown for a bit, taking lots of "street shots" and capturing some of those amazing signs they have outside all their country music places. Then as sunset got near I made my way up onto the Shelby Pedestrian Bridge which gives you this wonderful view of the town. I took a lot of shots from up here, at various angles and light conditions. In other words, I have several more shots of the Nashville skyline to show you one day! Thanks for stopping by!

A Nashville warbler (Oreothlypis ruficapilla) that was seen during Spring Migration, 2019. This bird was seen at the Magic Hedge Bird Sanctuary of Montrose Park by the shoreline of Lake Michigan on the north side of Chicago.

I just got back from Nashville last night, took a lot of pictures. Im slowly going through them, which is gonna take forever. This was taken at the Nashville Public Library, the library was divided in different levels and rooms. I really liked the stairs design, especially the one in the this photo, looks elegant and modern.
So Im gonna slow post more pics in the coming week

Musica is a statue sculpted by local artist Alan LeQuire which was unveiled in 2003. It is located in a traffic roundabout at Music Row. It features nine nude figures dancing in a circle, while the top one holds a tambourine. Each figure is about 15 feet tall and the entire statue is 38 feet.
Upon its unveiling, it was controversial as some people didn't want nude statues in the Bible Belt. It was the scene of a famous prank on St. Patrick's Day 2010 when some locals dressed the statues in Irish garb.
The Kangaroo Kickabout was added to the Nashville Zoo in Fall 2013. This area allows zoo visitors to pet any kangaroo that comes to the sidewalk and is willing. Others just want to sleep in peace.

Ole Smoky Distillery, the leading craft distiller of Moonshine and home of the world’s most visited distillery has expanded their presence in Tennessee by joining forces with Yee Haw Brewing Company, one of Tennessee’s top craft breweries, to collectively open a complex in Nashville’s burgeoning area of SoBro. The venue, currently being called 6th & Peabody, will feature a distillery, brewery, bars, tasting areas, beer & bottle shops, merchandise, big screen TVs and live entertainment. Visitors will be able to enjoy moonshine, cocktails, and beer by the glass, food including White Duck Taco and Nashville's own Prince's Hot Chicken, as well as purchase jars of moonshine and bottled beer for enjoyment at home.

Nashville Warbler
A small songbird, compact with a round head, plump body and shortish tail. The bill is fine, straight, and pointed.
A mostly yellow warbler with a green back, gray head, and white eyering. The lower belly is white, sandwiched in between yellow breast and yellow undertail coverts; this is a distinctive pattern helpful for identifying the species from below. Females and young birds are similar but the colors are more washed out and pale.
Forages for insects at middle levels in outer edges of trees, among twigs and foliage. Often joins other species in mixed foraging flocks. The western populations often flick or wag their tails; this is less common in eastern birds.
