Books I am currently reading: found in a "remainder" bookshop.
@ four pounds for a hardback first edition academic book - good value for money.
An abstruse subject which offers a historical and social backdrop of a troubled slice of French and West European history from the time of the French Revolution to the reign of Louis Philippe. Both Germaine de Stael and Benjamin Constant had Swiss roots, but made their reputation in France.
Boundless Romanticism!

This is a version of Turndust, an artist's book project I am currently working on. This is an early stage 'storyboard' version. I've posted it because I am interested in seing if I can use community on Flickr to add something to the design process. What do you think of it? What could be improved? What's good? What does it make you think about?
I'm planning to develop the book for screenprint in one or two colours with hand colouring in watercolour, so each book will be a little different, although still part of an edition. I plan to include new versions and working-up on Flickr as I go along.
Since this book is intended as a narrative, it's best read from beginning to end. I recommend looking at the set.
Thanks for any comments.

I've been working on this blasted textbook for McGraw-Hill since, I think, end 2007. What a long process! It is beginning to feel like an albatross, frankly. We're in edit and design now, and hopefully this monster will be in press by August. I hope, O, I sincerely hope.
