The shapes depicted here remind me of the musical notes on the sheet music when I learned to play the piano.
Thank you for viewing my photograph.
This is my entry for the Music To Our Ears contest on Lego Ideas.
One of the best things about music is that there are so many different styles of it. What better way to discover them all than at a music store! Celebrate the wide variety of music genres and musical instruments and relive the heyday of music stores with this modular building!
This corner building is comprised of a music store and a record shop on the ground floor and several apartments on the upper floors. Each apartment is themed after a popular music genre to suit the style of its inhabitant. The architect of the building designed it to look like a group of giant instruments to represent the four different types of instruments: An electric guitar (stringed), a clarinet (wind), a drum set (percussion), and a turntable (electronic). The floors can be separated to play inside.
This 2589pcs set is not only a great addition to anyone's modular buildings display, but also a fun playset that can serve as a home for your CMF musicians. Comes with 2 store owners and a new Classical Musician!
Images in this series are murals found in the music room of Above and Beyond children's museum. We took our granddaughter there for an outing.

Ostracon shows a banquet scene with musical accompaniment. It was the layout for a tomb scene.
Ostraca (pieces of stone or pottery) were used for practice sketches before laying drawings on tomb and temple walls.

Danbo is proud to announce that tickets are now on sale for his new smash-hit West End musical. The perfect Christmas present. For someone you detest.
I was going to mess around with this picture a lot more, but got to like it this way. Now I can move on, but the tuba player and drummer are stuck forever.

Spring is officially here and we are expecting another snow storm.
So many of us are tired of long cold winter which does not want to go away.
Despite our wishes for warmer weather, we were rewarded with awesome display of mother nature’s finest creation being orchestrated before our eyes.
The hanging icicles resemble musical notes which I am sure make music when the wind blows.
I bought the daughter a musical instrument to enable practice outside of class. The instrument may have been outside of its case more for this macro than the intended play.

Sorry.
I've been offline a lot lately working on a very complex still life
Today I finished the table for it.
It's underneath the cloth. And though it looks it, it's not rectangular.
The Dutch masters were a little creative with perspective.
This is shot using a canon speedlite as my regular flash units are in being serviced. As soon as they're back, I'll be on deck more regularly.
P.S. This is the not the big one, it's still coming.
Last night I brought in a bouquet of my "Fire Chief" roses from my garden & decided they
would make a nice photo on the keys of my Samick Grand Piano! Hope you all like it!

My dear Flickr friends,
Time flies and hope you have a good year in 2024.
Enjoy the coming festive season.
This is a video I captured on my phone for the performance of a musical fountain at the Canal City Hakata Sun Plaza Stage (Fountain). It is about 4 minutes long synchronising with the music but I cut it down to 1.43 minutes to show you the ending part.
Cheers
John
Canal City Hakata (キャナルシティ博多) is a large shopping and entertainment complex, calling itself a "city within the city". Attractions include about 250 shops, cafes and restaurants, a theater, game center, cinemas, two hotels and a canal running through the complex.
The new season has started at the great Philharmonie of Luxembourg and I'm again doing one of my favourite things in photography. One of the novelties this year is the new conductor for the Philharmonic Orchestra of Luxembourg (OPL). Gustavo Gimeno and the orchestra offered an impressive performance that reached moments of ecstasy.

A macro of a note boundary on a steel pan - not my best effort, but the reflective surface was harder to photograph in macro than i thought it would be, and i ran out of time!

I continue my quest to make the perfect craft/storage bag! I saw some bags that used a strap for one side and thought it was a brilliant idea. I used the medium dimensions from the Tilda toiletries bag pattern, and scaled up the larger bag to be between the medium and large dimensions. I want to play with the basic idea of this type of bag, and play with different dimensions and finishing techniques.
The bags will be a gift for a musical friend. I'm on a mission to use up fabrics that have sat on a shelf or in a bin for years. Why buy new stuff when I have so much to use up still? I also think it's sad when fabric doesn't become something, like it hasn't fulfilled its purpose. I'm happy to make something that will be enjoyed and valued by someone who appreciates it. She will be delighted, I hope.
My backdrop is a cement park bench with musical notes in the base. It is such a perfect match.
