This is an old clarinet,1930th, I had to borrow it, again :),from my oldest brother.
I should have cleaned it before I took the photo, well it adds to it's age :)

I took this photo for a music theme in one of my challenge groups, but then found it wasn't one of the themes LOL. I quite like this one and decided to add it to my Flickr anyway.

"Un golpecito en el cristal, como si hubieran tirado algo, luego, un caer ligero y amplio, como de granos de arena lanzados desde una ventana de arriba, y por fin, ese caer que se extiende, toma reglas, adopta un ritmo y se hace fluido, sonoro, musical, incontable, universal: llueve."

Another from the archives...I had posted one somewhat similar quite some time ago...

My sister made this for me so many years ago. It's one of my treasured decorations for Christmas. It plays "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" when wound up. Just something I thought I would share :)

It had been a long time since I posted any reflecting spoon images! But they are altogether too much fun! I am continuing with spoons reflecting pages from Dr Seuss' book, Oh, the Places You'll Go! As you will see, many of them I like better inverted!
I continue because of my enjoyment and and your supportive comments, my Flickr friends! Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and patience with me!

An early Sunday morning at Port Waikato.
This section of the beach is quite flat and is littered with these small stones. When the wave rushes in and then sucks back, the movement of the stones in the wash creates musical tones a bit like a xylophone, it was quite mesmerising...
One of the famous pieces from architectural history is this music hall of Vittala Temple complex, Hampi. Those pillars are musical, when stuck they produce different sounds and he hall within amplifies it. Although pillars are banned from touching, one can hear some sounds by a critter or bird hitting those pillars, if they are lucky :)
Hit "L" for best view.

The history of musical spoons goes back as far as does the history of the spoon. Cultures from Russia to Ireland to Native American cultures have a history of playing the spoons or spoon-shaped bones.
