I love this metal Violin keychain, with tiny gems on its bridge. I bought it from the Symphony Hall, Birmingham but didn't feel to put my keys on it because it's VERY beautiful!

So, I put this gorgeous keychain on my black coloured table and closed my eyes... I feel like the violinist "Niccolo Paganini" playing his violin in my room.

Bit of imagination ~ I made this one for "Macro Mondays"

NC2E

It had been a long time since I posted any reflecting spoon images! But they are altogether too much fun! I am continuing with spoons reflecting pages from Dr Seuss' book, Oh, the Places You'll Go! As you will see, many of them I like better inverted!

I continue because of my enjoyment and and your supportive comments, my Flickr friends! Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and patience with me!

L'Amore, come la musica

è fatto d'armonia.

L'Amore

parte dal cuore,

arriva alle persone ma non solo

e resta nell'Anima.

La musica

parte dalle note,

arriva al cuore attraverso di noi,

e resta nell'Anima.

L'Anima

è ciò che racchiude

l'essenza delle cose,

come tante piccole gocce,

e le rende uniche,

irripetibili

e per sempre...

Nonostante

il tempo,

la storia

e la vita !!

One of the famous pieces from architectural history is this music hall of Vittala Temple complex, Hampi. Those pillars are musical, when stuck they produce different sounds and he hall within amplifies it. Although pillars are banned from touching, one can hear some sounds by a critter or bird hitting those pillars, if they are lucky :)

The history of musical spoons goes back as far as does the history of the spoon. Cultures from Russia to Ireland to Native American cultures have a history of playing the spoons or spoon-shaped bones.

A whimsical impressionist-style painting depicts a young girl with long, straight brown hair and a pink short-sleeved shirt underneath teal blue overalls, singing passionately while playing a wooden brown upright piano. The girl is positioned on the left side of the image, facing slightly to the right with her mouth wide open in a singing gesture. Her hands are actively pressing the black and white piano keys, one on the bottom right and the other on the top left. To the right of the girl, a black and white cat with striking yellow eyes and visible whiskers sits atop the piano, also singing with its mouth wide open. The cat's fur is rendered in detailed brushstrokes, showcasing its texture. The background features a textured wall in shades of beige, cream, light brown, and green, with a potted plant with green leaves visible on top of the piano. Sheet music is partially visible on the piano's music stand behind the cat. The artwork employs a rough, textured brushwork technique typical of impressionist styles, adding depth and movement to the scene. The lighting is bright and even, highlighting the emotional expressions of both the girl and the cat. The warm hues of the piano contrast beautifully with the cool tones of the girl's outfit and the neutral wall, creating a harmonious yet dynamic composition.

The local musicians walk around all day playing their instruments even when they are not in the procession.

I took this motion blur photo as I was sat at a table enjoying a cold glass of white wine.

Fender Stratocaster. A guitar with a history. This Strat belongs to my daughter and how it came to be hers is interesting. When she was about 14 years old she went to a 4-H youth camp and while there she came in contact with a counselor who gave guitar lessons and she was hooked so we bought her an acoustic guitar and signed her up for regular lessons. During her time of lessons she drew a picture of herself playing an electric guitar and that guitar was a magenta/pink/red colored Fender Stratocaster. One day while out shopping she convinced me to go into a Pawn shop and there it was... the exact same guitar she had drawn in her picture in that weird magenta/pink/red color! It had been pawned by a musician down on his luck. The shop keeper told us he had the Strat painted to match his girlfriend's favorite fingernail polish. Pretty cool stuff, but just to add to it, we were able to track the year of the Strat and it was created in 1989.... the same year my daughter was born. Same color as her picture, same year she was born. So I ask, was it a fluke we walked into the pawn shop that day? :)

Athens. A lot of what you see in this shot are bouzoukis, tzouras, and baglamas. (Of course, that's a guitar on the upper right.) I bought a tzouras on our trip, but not from this shop.

I am still trying to make the guitar stencil work out but this feels a bit too busy with all of the extra lights. I can also see too much of my room in the bubble. Not interested in reshooting today so we will try yet again another day. I will try to remember that less is more.

PS - I love music and miss attending live concerts.

Chillingham Castle is a 13th century, Grade 1 listed stronghold in Northumberland, famed for action and battles. With rooms, gardens, lakes, fountains and tea rooms, the castle has an ownership bloodline which runs back to the 1200s.

DETAIL OF AN INSTRUMENT

I love the shiny, reflective and distorting instruments, the shapes and curves.

I admire those who find their way in there and can play them! LOL.

It is a well-known fact that England is a land of Brass bands and proudly so!

The tuba is the largest and lowest-pitched musical instrument in the brass family. As with all brass instruments, the sound is produced by lip vibration into a large mouthpiece.

It first appeared in the mid-19th century, making it one of the newer instruments in the modern orchestra and concert band.

Tuba is Latin for 'trumpet'.

Tubas are made with either piston or rotary valves.

All the best and thank you for your comments, M, (*_*)
