These bottles were created by a couple who are great friends and who played principal roles in these shows. They gave a bottle to all the other principals. Each of these shows were performed at the Queens Theatre, Barnstaple quite a few years ago now. Fiddler on the Roof sold out in all 6 performances.
Athens. A lot of what you see in this shot are bouzoukis, tzouras, and baglamas. (Of course, that's a guitar on the upper right.) I bought a tzouras on our trip, but not from this shop.

The 9/12/23 Crazy Tuesday theme is Musical Instrument.
In 1951, my not-yet-wife Sammy wanted to take piano lessons. Unfortunately, her parents sent her to a fancy music school where she learned theory and all sorts of highfalutin' stuff that bored her to tears. All she wanted was to be able to play the popular songs of the time.
However, as part of her music schooling, she had to make a flute out of a length of bamboo, and here it is. And I could actually toot a tune out of it. Sort of....

Something a little different which was, what I thought, a bit of a mistake but could be a bit of a new direction (without sounding too artsy!)
Original size is 7 cm so I have cropped the ratltetrap to fit it to group guidlines now displayed size is 5cm
Although you've been thrown into scenes in musicals since you were 3, this was your first real show. And though you fit right in with the rest of the North Pole elves, dancing your candy cane socks off and belting every word to Happy All the Time, there always seemed to be a make-up free trail cutting right down the center of your cherry blushed cheeks - reminding us all that even though you might be as tall as an 8 year old, you are only six -- the littlest elf of them all.

There was active discussion as to who was going to sit on this particular stem. Possession of it changed a couple times while I watched.

I bought the daughter a musical instrument to enable practice outside of class. The instrument may have been outside of its case more for this macro than the intended play.
