Freedom, mine on this warm day.
Spinning, feeling, breathing.
Smiling to the skies,
hopeful and full of glee.
I can't wait to go back to this place. And i found 2 new places to shoot some pics. I love spring!! So much inspiration in the air.
Chance and I have become amazing friends. For AGES I have wanted to step out on friend date with her and FINALLY we got to!
We went to Fogbound because the music is good, the dance machines always updated and the place crowded enough that nobody knows us.
She wore the sweetest dress, so I wore the swankiest slacks and we just danced the night away.
Both of us have had experiences there with people who later didn't do right by either of us, so us, together there, rewrote over allll the bad as we made some good memories together.
Also I got to dip her. A lot ;-)
Je t'aime ma ami belle!

I love that I have my special pixel world back. I love even more that I have amazing people to share it with me.
When I get to DJ, time flies as we are all having fun, but in the end, time here is eternal. We never age, we get to be as our Mindseye shows us to be.
Tonight my Mindseye took my friends on a wild ride through some wonderful olde skool hip hop and dance music. My friends held on tight and all just rode in the flow together.
I missed being myself and being free in this world...

we were at the park killin some time. cameras were the weapon of choice ;]
i really liked the way this candid turned out. i don't tend to put alot of candids on here. i was thinking i'd start to do that more n_n
i took the SAT. my brain feels numb. is it weird that i'm looking forward to doing my regular school subjects this week? cuz i really am.
something else that's on my mind: lately, i've been really lonely, because i feel like everyone is moving on and i'm being left behind. i know technically i'm the one that left but that doesn't make it any easier on me. however, all of these feelings really make me appreciate my family. they've been there from the beginning and they're going to see me to the end. i really really really love them.
if you have issues with your family, just remember the prodigal son. it's easier said than done, but still worth a try. don't give up!
Micah and I are moving next week, so you will be seeing less of me for a while as I pack my life into boxes.
"You're stubborn as they come, you'll never settle down
You'll always be the one who doesn't stick around
You make all the rules, you're set in your ways
You gotta have your freedom, you gotta have your space
Cause one day you'll meet the girl you swore you'd never find
Start feeling things you never felt and spending all your time
Trying to figure out how she got this hold on you
And when you start to fall, you'll hold onto your pride
Start building up your walls and never let her get inside
You'll push her away 'cause that's all you know how to do
And then she'll leave and you won't beg her not to go
Ask me how I know..."

And maybe a happy ending
doesn't include a guy,
maybe it's you,
on your own,
picking up the pieces
and starting over,
freeing yourself up
for something better in the future.
Maybe the happy ending
is just moving on.

The Calas sims continue to produce amazing experiences for myself and my GF's!
Tonight Cynthia and I took a hiking date around them and found the cutest cabin by the water...with free wine ;-)
We don't get to go out often, but when we do, it's very special for both of us. She is beautiful, charming, kind, funny, intelligent and I love her so very, very much. She is a friend, girlfriend and lover...
I love it...love her...
I am lucky I have two understanding women in my life who just like seeing love for love's sake. I am so happy in SL now :-)
See you soon Ms Cynthia and let's sip again please. :-)
I have been spending time with Chance - my dearest Katie's eldest daughter - while our lovely Katie is away. Chance herself has a lovely daughter of her own - Charlotte.
I am not a member of the Parx family, but they sure go out of their way to take care of me as I push to take care of them until Katie Parx gets back.
Charlotte is an extremely dear girl so devoted to her mother and Nan. She's very polite, charming and sweet - a very good girl in the best of ways.
As you know, Chance often crashes over with me and it has been lovely. We care for each other as loving friends and now? Now I love that Charlotte feels welcome and comfortable enough around me to do the same.
Sont-ils ma famille ?
Non, Toni et Felina le sont – bel et bien. Mais Chance et Charlotte sont comme une famille POUR moi et pour la première fois depuis si longtemps, je me sens en sécurité et aimée...
We miss you Ms Katie Parx. We try to stay close as you want us to and we will all be here when you come back. Amy and Elsa included of course.
I love to love and love being loved. That simple.
Being able to me maternal is something I dearly missed.
Je t'aime famille Hazelnut. Je t'aime famille Parx. Madame McAuley est avec vous cœur et âme..

P.S. Hobbes REALLY likes young Charlotte and snugs whenever he can with Chance. Tigers are always Brave and Handsome and Smart, so must be right things to do.
I only have 100 days to go before i complete my first year of 365! WOOHOO
So who needs a magic carpet when you have a magic umbrella?
.... he is the only one who posses the key to my heart...
This is my little man Tommy. We went on a family fishing trip over the weekend. We all had a blast. Everyone caught a fish.... or two... or three. Abby actually caught a snapper turtle. It was scary but definitely funny.
Yesterday's thunder storm was pretty bad but thankfully we have a lovely day, today!!
This was yesterday's storm clouds moving past!!

There's been some changes at the Red Rum Revue over the summer and to kick the new season of dancing off as we dive into fall, we held our first Formal Soiree!
Much fun was had as we invited our Red Rum Family - patrons and staff alike - to put on their best gowns and tuxedos to dance the night away!
Music used in the Red Rum's history of over 200 shows was played during the event. It led to smiles at the memories of the many shows held in Second Life's oldest and longest running Burlesque Theater!
We (the dancers) get back to the business of practising "The Art of The Tease" in our unique Vaudeville "Rough and Tumble" style on Saturday, October 5th at 7pm SLT. Doors open at 6:30!
The Formal was a nice and welcome change up for an evening of all involved in the frolicking and fun! We'll do it again sooner rather then later!
Sincerely,
- Madame Katie

Forgiving is not forgetting. It's letting go of the hurt.
So this image wraps up my series on Self-Stigma. It wasn’t all that I had hoped it would be, but then again what ever is? it’s funny because this stigma series wasn’t even supposed to be self portraits in the first place, but it became much more than that. It became a narrative of my life both now and then, a transformation of sorts.
From bandaids to butterflies.
Someday, hey, maybe I'll settle down
But it sure ain't anytime close to now
So much that I might miss it
If I sit still for a single minute
I got a life and I'm going to live it
The only way I know how...
I'm a traveling circus train
Spinning weathervane
Going where the wind blows, yeah...
I was born to chase the sun
Some horses gotta run
Yeah I'm always gonna be
A little bit gypsy...
Cynthia and I haven't been able to get out in WEEKS - all my fault. So I went full intention to make amends!
She hadn't been to Calas Galadhon Park before. Our BESt gowns were the order of the day and we had one of the pavilions to ourselves in the gorgeous sims
We met, we danced, we talked...we loved. I love how our friendship has blossomed into something more. I love spending time with her so very much.
I need to get healthier so I can love on her more often in world ;-)
Love you Cynthia!
- Katie xoxo

Well, if you call taking 165 photos ... of THIS annoyingly DIFFICULT scene "good" ... and NOT. ONE. SINGLE. ONE. turned out!!! I had to start ALLLLL over again the next morning!
Intended for the "RED SHOES" THEME ... you know ... Ruby Slippers ... We're Definitely Not in Kansas" ... "My Bunny Toto" ...
and/or for the "HEART" THEME ... (she DOES have a HEART on 'somewhere' ... but ... you can't see it !!! ... yep, I braided her hair in a heart shape! ... epic fun fail !!)
ALL that being said, I am posting this anyway ... with all it's epic fail editing ... blurryness ... crazy combo of props that have no rhyme or reason ... and 'blank stare' only a STOCK Blythe can GUARANTEE!! ugh.

"I had always wondered what Reverend Lovoy meant when he talked about 'grace.' I understood it now. It was being able to give up something that it broke your heart to lose, and be happy about it."

"We were summer - love was burning
We were white magnolias in bloom
By the time the leaves had fallen
I had already fallen for you
Then winter came, brought the rain
Something in between us changed
Now we can't get it back...
Oh, but I remember when we
Loved each other so fearlessly
So tell me how the hell did we
Turn into bittersweet company?"

Recently, something I treasured, slipped away. Now it is gone. I am not coping well with the loss.

"She's getting dressed up, putting on that lipstick
Shimmy shaking, right into them cut-offs baby, oh yeah
You're getting off work, cashing out that paycheck
Gotta change that shirt and pick that girl up on her front step
Here she comes now looking so fine
You've been waiting on this night for such a long, long time
She slides in and you roll down Main Street,
You turn right when that red light turns green
Sun sets now, you're half way to heaven
She picks a song, you turn it up to 11
You say, "Do you wanna?" and she says, "Hell, yeah"
So you hit the party, all your buddies are jealous
Someday you'll be looking back on your life
At the memories, this is gonna be one of those nights..."

This kitchen knife set belonged to my grandmother. I still remember when she moved from Houston to San Antonio and had this in her house, and I have had it since she passed away and I lived in her house to care for it until the house sold.
It seems like a funny thing to be sentimental over. It’s definitely not the best knife set in the world, but I simply have so many associations with her and this set of knives… I think it’s time to move on but still it’s always hard to toss something with so many memories and associations.

I married two drag racers in SL. Never marry a girl who will chose her car over you. Both did. Narcissism personified with them both.
I myself like to drive, fly (also in RL! - test pilot in SL with an airspeed record!), sail (also in RL!) and DJ from a Submarine in SL (it's true!), but I NEVER let any of that take precedence over my loved ones. Family and Friends over Fuel and Fire.
I love vintage. I love being able to dress how I want here, own what I wish and explore where I will. I love the freedom that SL can give me.
I love being able to take on RL and "Shut 'em down".

This was a lost pic eaten by Flickr's servers last year. One of 124 that took a team of six Flickr techs 3 days to get back - minus the journaling. At least I remember the song on this one ;-)
With love for you all,

Cynthia is a friend...a very caring, kind and giving friend and one who isn't afraid to "roll in the hay" with me ;-)
A friend with "benefits" :-)
She plays some of the best Rock and Roll in SL and sure knows how to treat a girl right. I love the time we get together and love how I feel when I am with her.
We are just that - friends. But we are friends who enjoy a nice night out together. I haven't been taken out this often since...it's been a long long time and prior to my last marriage.
A Madame could get used to this sort of thing ;-)
It's tough to lose but it's a good lesson. Their first lose of the season and it happened at the last game. Moving on to the playoffs next week. It was a wonderful season and we loved going to the games and seeing him do himself proud...go Liam.

It feels good to be home… it feels great to be with my parents, my puppy, and my home in Tennessee. This was the longest and hardest road trip I have done, but I am determined to make every future road trip one filled with life, love, and adventure!

Today was probably my last day being on site in my former office for quite some time…
I was going through one of the drawers in one of the offices and found this: it was the keychain to one of the sets of keys for the conference rooms that we used. I must have handled these keys a thousand times in the past six years- weekly staff meetings, interviews, meetings with my supervisors, and the list just goes on.
I thought this would be a small but simple way to remember the many different memories that I had at this office, and make peace with moving on.

We had a BRILLIANT show at the Red Rum tonight with a nice crowd, good acts and I got to see Cynthia again...after the crowds left, we were both tired, but still stood on my stage and slow danced for awhile...
Talked...kissed..loved
We don't get to see each other as much as we want, but when we do, it's always wonderfully peaceful and perfectly romantic.
She makes me feel like the centre of everything and tries hard when we can't meet to be there to talk in other ways.
Her yellow gown tonight was the talk of the club...I just buried myself in it and sighed happily as we danced and talked.
I love you very much Cynthia. thank you for just..."being"...
