The recent rain has brought these little movers out. They are easier to photograph than the bees, but not so sure that they’re are as good as the bees for rather garden.
Had half thought of using this for yesterday’s MM theme, but decided to use the trusty bike instead.

This gull was preening itself and being splashes by the waves. I was just waiting for the perfect moment for the gull to look into my direction while it was splashed.... it never happened, the gull got tired of being splashed and decided it was time to go and find another place to quietly continue its preening .... Such is life sometimes :)

In both these Michael McWilliams paintings forester kangaroos are seen moving through the landscape. Since colonial settlement, numbers of these kangaroos have declined (as distinct from mainland kangaroos whose numbers continue to grow). The impact of clearing of land changes the environment and fires are now more common. The greatest victims of bushfires are in fact the native animals.

Panda...the reddest red Panda of them all in SL, is becoming a most wonderful friend. Tonight we took "Divine Memory" to Siren's cove just to....float...and talk...and smile.... lots of smiles!
She is so bright, kind, caring and cheery. Also taken - but in the best of ways, so that makes me happy. It is nice to be friends.
It was also nice to get Divine out and bust a bad memory up while piloting her. I am moved way past Becca now. I am glad she will never be back in my life - or on my damn boat again! ;-)
Panda has listened to the saga and offers a cute elf ear to hear me always and not just to stories about bad exes, but other things in my life. I find I enjoy leaving audio clips for her in Discord to hear as I hope to make her smile. It usually works ;-)
Everyone likes a good story after all and "Flotsam and Jetsam" tonight were definitely writing a new chapter in their friendship. Thank you for being my friend Panda. I look forward to more adventures with you :-)

My favourite Sim in SL was called "Wintermoon". I saw "was". because sadly, like a lot of things in SL, it couldn't retain permanence. On day it was just...gone...
I would go there to find solace for myself when I was hurting or lonely or both. I would take friends or more so to there to experience the beauty of the sims - arguably the best ones in Second Life - and also to "hear the calling".
Each time I went there, despite the hundred plus times I went, I would feel "called" to a particular area that somehow I had never seen and experienced before there. Somehow in the spot, I would find peace and easement of mind. Somehow many of those I cared about did too.
This picture is one of the 124 Flickr's servers up and "ate" out of 142 pictures I had journaled. For reasons unknown, Flickr "ate" the pictures and a team of six of their people took three days to find them again for me.
Every single one.
For that, I was eternally grateful as my health as it is means I can't always trust my brain and documenting my SL for better or worse via Flickr, helped me to preserve the experiences and memories of our digital world.
The catch was all my writing, song links etc, were still gone. the pictures remain and tell a story unto themselves, but the context is vague and cloudy without the journaling. Still, they are here again. In my hard drive and I can share once more a moment from the past - now a glance if you will.
I do know this was Wintermoon. I do know I was troubled looking for answers that day when wandering and I most especially know the sim "showed me" where to be and what do, so I sat, read by the sea and forest and settled my mind.
For that, for Wintermoon, I am forever grateful.

Every time I get a chance to be peaceful with Shesa, we end up getting lost with each other...the world as we know it gets left behind and we end up in one of our own - always lost in emotion, but always together.
