On hire from V/Line N455 with SSR's A70 are being refuelled at Allied's Kensington mill, while a down Craigieburn Comeng led by 544M arrives.
The N classes are being phased out from passenger work, with 10 currently on long term hire to SSR. Comeng sets will soon be replaced by the Xtrapolis 2.0

Had to move crap out of the house that we moved out of...like..ages ago. (There was random crap in the attic, mostly.) But only just officially became the new owner's property.
The garbage guys ended up not taking the basketball hoop (not very surprising), but the new owners will find a way to get rid of it.

A new chapter for Pataphysical Studios started today, as we moved the 'Pataphysical Slot Machine to a new home. Our poetic oracle made its maiden journey to the hilltop ranch of Drs. Canard and Figurine, after six years of art incubation in Dr. Rindbrain’s backyard.
The move went very smoothly, with a fine crew of goggled pataphysicians on hand. It took us about four hours to load, unload and set up the exhibit, on a balmy Saturday afternoon. Getting the electronics connected took about an hour — and we got it all working, with a bit of soldering and ritual incantations.
We celebrated this historic occasion with a shot of absinthe and lots of good cheer. Ubu and the Slot Machine seem to fit right in their new home: a lovely guest room with a private entrance, overlooking an idyllic garden with views of the bay.
We plan to host viewing parties and open studios every few months, so others in our community can get to experience the Slot Machine and its magical wonderboxes. Long live Ubu!

Another picture that I've wanted to take since I first came to Okinawa. These were fun ones to make. Because I got to play with a lot of settings on my camera and because it wasn't a static subject. Even if I made a few adjustments, each time I pressed the shutter it was a new pattern that unfolded. They all reminded me of a toy I had as a kid: the Spirograph. There's something about repeated patterns that is soothing to me.
And right now I need as much soothe as I can get! It's T-10 days until I leave on a jet-plane. And of course, I'm a perpetual procrastinator, so I'm waiting until the last minute to get everything done: sell the car, shop, see everything I didn't see before, organize, pack. So it's my own damn fault that my stress level is through the roof. But it also occured to me today, after yelling at a cell phone guy, that I've become a generally unhappy person in the last little while. I can't really say when it began, but it's still disturbing. I hope that location and job stress are playing a big part in the transformation and that a change of scenery will help. We'll see. But, regardless, it's something that I need to fix. Because I don't even like me right now. I'll stop being depressing now, because I'm exhausted and am headed to bed. My goal is to hit the pillow by midnight every night, with a little time for reading and decompression...I also don't do well with little sleep...sigh
Due to no wind and little water movement in the canal the thousands of Ducks where slow to move so they got a helping hand from members of the fire & rescue service.
