A warning to all architects. With the abundance of computer aided design programs giving 3-D images of a proposed design you should be able to see what your building is going to look like from the local railway station. This mosque at Willesden Green could have done with being looked at other than on a 2-D drawing board. Some very powerful programs such as Blender are free to download and use so there should be no excuse.

The Dolmabahçe Mosque, also called the Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Mosque (Turkish: Dolmabahçe Camii, Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Camii), is a historical mosque located in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, Turkey. The mosque was constructed between 1853 and 1855, and commissioned by the Ottoman sultan Abdülmecid I and his mother Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan.

The building of the mosque was supported financially by Mammar Gaddafi of Libya and was opened in 2007. It can take up to 6000 worshippers. Jamia Mosque is a mosque located on Banda Street in Nairobi's Central Business District. The mosque is one of Kenya's most prominent religious structures, and the most important mosque in the country. It was founded and first built by Syed Maulana Abdullah Shah between 1902 and 1906. The Mosque has been extended since its original construction.
The Jamia Mosque retains its classic Arabic Islamic architectural style with extensive use of marble and inscriptions from the Quran, and the traditional row of shops down one side provide rental income for its upkeep. It is recognizable by its three silver domes, and twin minarets.
