The Kocatepe Mosque (Turkish: Kocatepe Camii) is the largest mosque in Ankara, Turkey. It was built between 1967 and 1987 in the Kocatepe quarter in Kızılay, and its size and prominent situation have made it a landmark that can be seen from almost anywhere in central Ankara.
The stately Putra Mosque is one of Putrajaya’s most famous landmarks. It has a unique pink dome which is constructed from rose-tinted granite and comprises of a prayer hall, the sahn or courtyard, learning facilities and function rooms. The mosque accommodates 15,000 worshippers and boasts a 116-metre, five-tiered minaret, the tallest in the region. holidaysinmalaysia.org/putrajaya/

Local mosque in Bahrain with the Bahrain Trade Center being built in the distance (looks almost like a giant "Transformer")
Hmm, doesn't look much different from IIUM mosque during the last 10 days of Ramadhan. Except the Ihram is replaced with towels & quilts.
Ganesh is the Shia village below Karimabad. It has restored mosques and a central well area and the local village has organized guided tours for a fee.
There are two forts one in Karimabad (restored), one in Altit ( closed for restoration).
Blossom season is for a week – two weeks in April (usually).
Duiker ( Eagles Nest) offers the best views – a short drive from Karimabad above Altit.
Karimabad has all facilities for tourists.
Ultar Meadow is a one- two hour trek above Baltit fort. You can camp beside the glacier in summer. You will need warm clothes and camping gear. A tent hotel operates- check that is open before leaving. They serve meals and have a communal tent for sleeping as well as a toilet.
