Abbasi Mosque is a mosque located in the city of Derawar adjacent to Derawar Fort, Cholistan region of Punjab the province of Pakistan. It was built by Nawab Bahawal Khan in 1849.

I was walking downtown, camera bag over my shoulder. I had just had my first (and only) photography lesson and saw something this analagous.
The cathedral was build right on top of the old mosque that was here, leaving the mosque courtyard intact. The Cathedral entrance is to the left.
Selimiye Mosque: Exterior.
The mosque was commissioned by Sultan Selim II and was built by architect Mimar Sinan between 1568 and 1574. It was considered by Sinan to be his masterpiece and is one of the highest achievements of Islamic architecture.

An aerial view of the golden dome of the Masjid-al-Sultan Muhammad Thakurufaanu Al Auzam, which is a mosque part of the Islamic Centre in Male. An architectural landmark, it is one of the biggest sights in the skyline of the city, and is located near the Male Jetty.
The Blue Mosque was founded by Sultan Ahmet I. He ordered architect Mehmed Aga to begin constuction in 1609 and the whole complex was completed in 1616.
The location of the mosque is just opposite of the famous Aya Sophia church as it is trying to compete with it.
This litte mosque stands beside the main road in between Saint-Louis and Thiess. It has been under construction since we arrived in Senegal and I have always said that I wanted to stop and take a picture. I have just never had the time to do so. But this last trip I stopped and what do you know there was a heard of cows standing around the mosque!
Et’hem Bey Mosque
Found in the heart of Tirana, there is this unique mosque with it’s own history. The Et’hem Bey Mosque was founded at the 18th century and closed under the communist rule to be reopened as a house of worship in 1991. By the time it was build this mosque was a very complex building that composed the center of Tirana. Nowdays tours are given daily in this mosque and it is very much liked by the tourists.
