Another sunrise shot from a remarkable morning last January when Eric Gail and I headed out at 5 AM with hopes of catching a sunrise at Leo Carrillo Beach. This was only our second time visiting this beach, and we wouldn't have known about it at all if not for a tip from one of the natives on our previous shoot down at the Malibu Pier. Leo Carrillo is another rare East facing beach where you can shoot the sunrise over the ocean in spite of the fact that you are on the West Coast. Between the cave, the archway, and the jagged coastline, this location bounced way up on our shooting list and both of us agreed that there seems to be more potential here than at the more popular El Matador which is just South of this beach. I was hoping to head back there, but now that we are approaching May, we might be out of luck as the low clouds will soon be moving in for the Summer and the sun will probably be out of position as it will have moved much further to the North.
If I have to wait another 6 months to head back, it will definitely be worth the wait.

It is almost October, Harvest month. This farmer can easily collect some grass from its land, as the growing conditions are still optimal. Indian Summer at best!

How time flies. It's now been 6 months since Gill and I decided to explore a relationship together and it's been wonderful for both of us.We've still only met in person once (and this winter was always going to be quiet) but we have some big plans for what we want to to dogether this year and we hope to see each other a lot more often from this point.
I feel so lucky to be able to encourage her as she comes out of her shell, watching her develop her look, model new outfits and try different experiences. I knew she was special from when we first became friends and we just seem so well-suited for each other. She s so kind and generous as well as being gorgeous and I love being her special Supergirl so much.
Earlier this month when Nikon released their D850 camera, 32 professional male photographers were surveyed on the cameraās latest features and how it would impact their work. There wasnāt a single female photographer on the list. After public criticism, Nikon released a statement revealing the details of the incident, mentioning they invited a few women photographers, but they were unable to attend, but the Internet isnāt quite ready to lay the issue to rest.
Thirty-two men and zero women is not a balanced input. When children are young, their minds are full of dreams. Every child grows up with dreams. Some dream of being artists, performers, a president, or other notable careers. Some also grow up with the dream of becoming a photographer. We have Nikon's list of 32 male photographers. In honor of Dream Day, here is Flickr's list 32 phenomenal female photographers that we'd would recommend for Nikon in the future.

These Blythe dolls are Lena Elena (Middie) and Cloud 9 Bowl (Neo), getting into the spirit of the month. The black cat in a jack o lantern is a decoration from Target that I brought in from my front porch for this picture. Did you notice that Cloud 9 is holding a mini version of it?

5 months old and weighing in at 20 kilos.
The keepers have slowly been introducing Amari to Milo and Misty . It is a slow process but going well.
He spends supervised time with Misty but he annoys the crap out of her and she gets sick of him.
Misty is quite protective of him though when Milo is around.
Milo is unsure of Amari but Amari looks up to Milo and shows him far more respect than he does Misty.
So lion dynamics and relationships can be as complicated as human relationships.

Diffraction City! Two of the main exposures in this blend are at F/29 (295 and 589 seconds). The brightest (mainly for foreground) is 276 sec at F/8, and some shorter exposures at F/8 were blended in to tame the highlights. In sum: fun experimentation with a tripod-mounted camera tethered to a laptop.
I've been away from Flickr, but not idle. I never intended for my absence to stretch out to almost 2 months! I look forward to sharing more of what I've been doing, and catching up with what my Flickr friends have been doing.

Not that my memory is that good but the photo archive indicates its six months since this outfit has been worn. Time to rectify that...
Actually its a bit of a fave but never goes more than 100 yards as thats the limit imposed on the heels (by my feet) and it never looks quite the same in flats. Lucky for me I work from home so only a flight of stairs and I'm at work.
