Almost twelve months ago I was meandering around Tasmania's north-east coast with a camera by myself, no schedule, and an excellent excuse for stopping every few kilometres because "the light looked interesting."

Looking back through these images has convinced me of two things:

I really do need to plan another photography getaway and

I need to wait until the World Cup is over. Australia has started well ;)

For now, this stretch of Tasmanian coastline will have to satisfy my itchy feet.

Another Tuesday morning run to Pueblo for the Rock & Rail almost two months to the day since my last visit, and what a difference some rain...or a lot of rain...makes. The train is seen here rounding the curve at Goodnight siding. Unfortunately, the crew will return to Portland light power, thus ending my excursion on the Rock & Rail for today.

June is all about poppies, and this macro photograph reveals the heart of the flower in full detail. The stigma and stamens form an almost architectural pattern, surrounded by the warm red of the petals. An ode to the beauty that appears along fields and roadsides throughout the month.
