June is Pride Month in the UK. Here we are in 2022 and all around the world people are still bullied, harassed, dismissed, discriminated against, hurt and killed simply for who they love.

We should be free to love irrespective of race, religion, gender and gender identity. We are all human. Just one species sharing a single magical oasis in the vastness of space. It is long overdue that we treated each other with humanity and compassion.

Another Tuesday morning run to Pueblo for the Rock & Rail almost two months to the day since my last visit, and what a difference some rain...or a lot of rain...makes. The train is seen here rounding the curve at Goodnight siding. Unfortunately, the crew will return to Portland light power, thus ending my excursion on the Rock & Rail for today.

A favorite spot for photographers and a very nice place to visit. My appetite was back and hopefully it will last long. I was now so excited on my visit to my homeland, few more days to come yes!

Got this picture off my daughter's Instagram page...

Just before Christmas 2014, I went in to Lower Tews Falls. Today being a Wednesday, and one of the rare days when I can now get time to go anywhere, I went back. The hard winter and the frosts had frozen the trail well, and what normally would be a squelchy hike in was pleasantly dry. It is worth contrasting this end of winter shot with the one that I took just as the ice was forming. No tripod; elbows wedged :)

It's become somewhat of a habit of mine to drive out here on sunny mornings to grab 113 as it makes it's way west on the Belleville. While most other spots would be backlit at this time, Cherrywood works perfectly as the tracks face southwest rather than due west. This allows nose light to creep in right around sunrise in the colder months, so you can capitalize on a westbound in some of that sweet morning glow.

This particular 113 was rumoured to have an ACu in the lead so hearing "8123 West" on the scanner was a bit of a disappointment. However, the unit being clean, no KCS power trailing, and only one pesky CPKC container in the frame certainly made up for it. Slowly but surely, Canadian Pacific branding is being phased out so I'll take a scene like this any day.

Our purrfect little man is 8 months old! He already weighs 10.5 pounds, has become so much more confident, and loves to spend his time playing with Torvi & watching the critters in the yard. He’s also becoming quite the little snuggler. We love him so much!
