Because I broke some fingers they have been taped together which has inconvenienced my photogenic style somewhat, amongst other things. Happy Easter for those that celebrate 🐰

Raby Mere is a hamlet on the Wirral Peninsula, England. Adjacent to the Green Belt, woodland and open countryside, it is known for its mere, a lake that has been used for leisure purposes for many years. ..............

Our only tree - a Japanese Maple in our front garden - was looking amazing in the late sunshine yesterday.

The colour version is in the first comment.

HMBT and Thursday Monochrome

Just another Monochrome Bokeh Thursday Photo

Fuera locura pero hoy lo haría:

Atar un moño azul en cada árbol.

Ir con mi corazón de calle a calle.

Decirle a todos que les quiero mucho.

Subir a los pretiles,

gritarles que les quiero.

Fuera locura,

pero hoy lo haría.

This was shot in the afternoon with a really nice sky. The morning didn't have a cloud in the sky, but as the day wore on clouds started rolling in. I couldn't find the turn off to get to the nice tufas on this visit and ended driving around for awhile until we found this walkway that lead to the lake's shoreline. The rock features weren't as great here, but the grassy foreground and beautiful sky made up for it.

This is a view of Mono Lake looking North. I thought we would have had better color in the sky because of the smoke from the Rough Wildfire, but it didn't happen. The tufas really make for great viewing in your foreground when shooting here. It is a really unique looking location.

Titled "Removal men" I was asked on my reflection post yesterday to consider a mono conversion and increase the grain. I have done on this photo.

This almost looks like a tornado from this angle, but fortunately for me, it was not.

The man at Centrespace.

Leonard Lane, Bristol.

At number 6 you will find "Centrespace" an independent and sustainable community of artists and craftspeople offering both studio space, workshops, events and a gallery space for hire. The building was originally occupied by artists in the late 1970’s and has been running as a co-operative since 1987.

Mono Lake Tufa reflections

Cannot help myself converting these to Mono, the light and calmness of the situation was perfect, reflections in photography are something I'm very interested in.

Looking from Mono Lake towards the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

More of the south tufas of Mono Lake, California.

Off to Mono Lake for a few days. Happy 4th of July to those who care...

The eerie shapes of the Mono Lake tufas, near Lee Vining, Californina, were even more surreal in the predawn light.

Dual departure from Alexisbad in mono. This was the service train with 6001 and a special with 99222 in February 2020

Weary Road is located outside of Evansville, Wisconsin and is reportedly a haunted area with lots of paranormal activity. I do like the way the tall trees line the road and was never bothered by any "spirits" when I took this about a year ago. This i s from the archives as with our thirty five below wind chills today, I don't plan on going anywhere to check out the latest snowfall with my camera!

And Bubba NZ, you can breathe now! :)

Long exposure under the pier.

We were hiking down the trail to the shore of Mono Lake when we looked up and saw this light coming over the Sierra peaks. Wow. This was shot six years ago, and I thought it would be fun to reedit it with more powerful software I've been using recently (Aurora HDR, Topaz Denoise).if you look closely you can see the famed Mono Lake tufas on the distant lake shore.
